It was frustrating. I spoke to various doctors and vocal trainers, but nothing worked. I heard Alicia in an Alexander technique podcast, and the little advice she was able to provide there made so much sense and worked so well that I reached out to her to get lessons. In the past six months of working with her every other week for half an hour, my voice issue pretty much doesn't affect me at all any more. I even might even be more in control of my voice than most people now, and I now can finally present in front of teams and crowds and not worry about losing my voice. Or even talking to people day to day and not worrying about being misunderstood in tone or content. Believe me, it's a dramatic change and very freeing.
