I have purchased my kitchen cabinets from MTD twice and tiles multiple times, therefore, I know the place pretty good. I have also done some extensive price comparison and did own my first kitchen for 5 years before going out to get another one for the new house. Therefore, can testify to the quality of the cabinets. Yes, this is not your craftsman top of the line custom-made cabinets, but that is exactly where savings come from. So, if you are in the market for pre-fab kitchen, MTD is your place and Avi is THE man. Sweet as it gets, delivers everything he promised and more, accessible by cell phone throughout the project. Avi has so much patience for the process and customer that you can't help but admire that. He takes pre-fab cabinet options and combines them into YOUR kitchen, unique and different from others. As an example, I had built-ins made for refrigerators from the same material and would consider that at least semi-custom work. By the way, they do make custom cabinets, I just didn't use that part of their business. One part that I am yet to rate is their post-installation service. I do need them to come out and adjust one of the drawers so it soft-closes as needed. I will post an update if needed. UPDATE 6/26/16 - The very NEXT day after I posted the above review I got a call from Avi, asking what was wrong the the drawer. That tells me two things: they do really read reviews and do care about their reputation. I respect that. So I explained what was going on and also noted that my newly installed island showed dull spots all over, kind of looked unfinished. That same day Avi came to my house with the service manager and within days I had someone who adjusted rollers on the drawer and someone who came and polished all quartz counters by hand, which now look stunning. Extremely Poor Customer Service & very Unprofessional Using this company has been an incredibly stressful and upsetting experience. We hired this company to redesign our current kitchen in our condo based on their lovely website and the persuasiveness of the salesperson. Stupidly, we did not read any reviews. Even though this company is licensed to do business in their industry, the workers that they send out to complete the job are NOT licensed themselves, nor are they qualified to do a job that I would consider half-way decent. If you ask for credentials based on their claims to be kitchen designers, they will not be able to produce them which we only discovered once we started having issues with the quality of their work. The spice cabinet is much too small to hold bottles of spices - it's literally impossible (unless your spices are as thin as a cell phone) - which makes me wonder whether they understand what spice racks are. They have continually refused to address our concerns with the quality of their work and even though they have yet to complete the work, they are now refusing to answer our calls. We are now in a position where we have paid $3,000 and they are demanding another $1,800, even though they are refusing to respond to our complaints about work they have already completed. There are multiple reviews on yelp that show 1 star, I wish I had seen these reviews before I hired this company. We are now dead in the water with an incomplete kitchen and out $3,000. We are in the process of filing in small claims court to recoup our $3,000 and filing our complaint with the Better Business Bureau. I had my countertops and kitchen cabinets installed by MTD. I also purchased my kitchen flooring there. I'm going to be brutally honest. All materials showed up on time and the price was the best I found. I searched high and low too. I looked at tile, cabinets and countertops from Anaheim all the way to North Hollywood and the best prices and selection were at MTD! Good job guys. P.S. I constantly get compliments on my backsplash. I did have a few issues though. When my cabinets were installed the countertop was too long and I was also overcharged on my card for the flooring department by a few hundred bucks. However, MTD came out and fixed the countertop for no additional charge and of course they refunded me the money they overcharged on my credit card the same day. My experience with MTD Kitchens was excellent. I came in with little research and was surprisingly impressed when I sat down with designer Rochie. I had some approximate measurements. She took my overall ideas and quickly interpreted into a professional drawing with cabinets available to fit into my space. She had someone come out and take exact measurements and she produced a finalized drawing for approval. I only made a few minor and we proceeded to installation. So from start to installation it was a total of about 3 weeks. I was pleased with the installers attention to detail. Everything was installed with the care of a custom kitchen. MDT provided the quartz and within a day or so of installation the quartz was installed. The job was finished but a few adjustments were required. I mentioned them one time and without another request everything was adjusted. The job turned out beautiful and I would highly recommend this company and employees. read more

We could not have been more pleased with the remodeling of our kitchen by MTD Flooring, Kitchen and Bath. The kitchen is beautiful. The cabinet workmanship and quality was superb and working with Ronnie Peryanti was a pleasure. He listened to our requirements and designed accordingly. We replaced all our cabinets; put in quartz countertop and redid our old florescent ceiling lighting with recessed LED lights. We also replaced our kitchen floor with a wood laminate and updated with new florescent blinds on our windows. It's been almost 3 years since I renovated my kitchen and I want to update my review. Initially the cabinets were not installed properly (hence the bad review) and MTD was slow to fix them. Once they fixed the cabinets, we have been very pleased. Three years later, our cabinets are still gorgeous and in great condition. I almost used MTD again for a different kitchen remodel. We ended up going with custom cabinets for the new remodel, but I can say that going through the process I could tell that mtd offers fair prices. I can't express strongly enough how poor this company is, particularly their installation craftsmanship. Just look at the photos of the BRAND NEW CABINETS that they just installed! These photos speak for themselves. They basically ruined the cabinets during the install, and of course, disappeared and made excuses afterwards. They give a great sales pitch and their pricing is fair, but once you ink the contract, you're in trouble. Their installers don't show up, reschedule, blame each other for mishaps, leave a massive mess, and then your finished product looks like the cabinets in the pictures. Stay away, and if you make the mistake of contracting with them, be prepared for headaches.....and you better watch every move they make, or else you'll be out thousands of dollars and have lousy cabinets. I can truly share that our kitchen remodel turned way better than we ever expected. Avi was our designer, and he was extremely helpful in putting together a plan for our new design. We had some awkward space to work with, so we relied on his experience for suggestions. We made many changes, and I never felt that he was annoyed. He really wanted to make sure we were happy with the results. We went from vanilla color to white shaker cabinets with a gray concrete look quartz top, as we were going for the "rustic industrial" design. The installer, Simon, was great! He was precise and very neat. Our schedule went on as planned. We did have some issues with the countertop guy, but these were addressed with Avi and taken care of. The saleswoman, Mariani, and the installer were both knowledgeable, professional, and nice, but I cannot recommend MTD because of the management. On three occasions throughout my transaction, they found reasons to bump up the price: 1) During placing the order, I specifically pointed to my preferred countertop in their showroom. After the pricing, when I asked them to confirm the countertop by pointing to it again, the owner said, "No, that one is $200 more." 2) During the installation, the installer realized the separate measuring team forgot to measure one of my cabinet openings. Because the installer (3rd party company hired by MTD) wanted to charge MTD more, MTD pressured me into paying $150 for their mistake. 3) I purchased my cabinet handles separately because I found nicer designs at a lower price elsewhere. Originally, they said that the handle install is included. But once I wanted them installed, they demanded $250 additional because the installer was going to charge them. Because of the two previous price increases, I tried to negotiate with them. I asked the accounting lady to ask the owner if he will take care of it. Rather than calling me back, I received a legal letter days later threatening to place liens. So basically, they never finished the installation and after I called them several times trying to get the install complete, they ignored and threatened my property. The sales lady actually had the nerve to offer that they will only finish the install at no additional charge if I leave them a positive review on Yelp. The ownership proved to be careless of the customer. If you go with MTD, make sure to write on paper and take photos of everything you get priced and get a very detailed invoice. They are waiting for any reason to upcharge. Be cautious. read more

Just an awful place to get a kitchen. Not sure how they got so many good reviews, probably many are fake. Everything was smooth until we signed the contract, after that everyone went missing. The kitchen managers barely answer the phone, and when they say they will call back that almost never happened. Different people you speak with (after 5 calls if you are lucky) give different stories, and in general everything is extremely unorganized and uncoordinated. Gil suggested we use their app for more efficient communication, but that didn't help either. But horrible communication aside, when it came to installing the kitchen, we were told a crew of 2-3 people would be there to install, but instead we had 1 guy doing the entire thing. Given this, he probably rushed through our project and installed majority of the knobs unevenly, drawers were not aligned, and in general a very crappy install job. When we tried to get someone to come out and fix the problems, once again no response from any of the "managers". The installer himself called us and argued with us that everything was even...haha funny guy he is. See attached picture for reference, and definitely do not use MTD, the amount of time wasted dealing with them, and crappy kitchen in the end is not worth the few hundred dollars you save. They try to act legit and professional, but they have proven to be very badly organized, with both customer service skills and craftsmanship being extremely poor. read more

We started with their designer Rhochie who listened to our goals, designed an initial plan, provided advice, and modified along the way according to our needs. She is terrific. We selected MTD in part because this company has their own factory to manufacture cabinetry including experience in acrylic products which we selected. The quality of the wood boxes, hardware and acrylic are excellent. The project manager Benjamin was accessible and efficient. He kept us informed and on schedule. The cabinet installer Eugene and his assistant likewise performed exceptionally high quality work during this most important step. The countertop fabricator Miguel and his assistant expertly and safely completed the job. MTD gave us a great looking kitchen which is functional, durable, and most importantly, exactly what we envisioned. It was affordable. Look no further I have done all the homework for you! After having a pipe leak and flooding my kitchen, I was in need of a complete renovation. I spoke to a dozen contractors and came to the conclusion that I would need to be my own contractor, unless I wanted to spend $60k+ to do my kitchen. Let's get to the meat and potatoes...the most expensive part is cabinets and counter tops. Just like you I looked through every yelp review trying to find the best cabinet and counter top company I could. I did find MTD early on but was a little nervous because like all cabinet places they didn't have perfect reviews. Just by luck someone I knew had their kitchen done by them and I saw the quality and decided to go for it. My gamble paid off!! My representative was a Angel!! Literally her name is Angel and she was heaven sent. She helped me and my crazy wife through the whole process. What happens a lot during a renovation is you start trying to do to much, too many Pinterest ideas, too many family members and friends giving opinions. Angel knew how to get us unstuck. She knows what will and won't work. She is honest and tells you that if you do what you might think is cool, it will destroy your budget and she will get you the look and feel for what you can afford. What I really liked was how she would save me money without asking. I would get calls after we finalized things and she would be like "hey I save you money here by changing this, what do you think?" I loved those calls and many times those changes only made my extremely picky wife more happy with the creative ideas. Angel is the secret sauce. She kept us on tract and was extreme thoughtful of our needs. When construction began she constantly checked on the workers to make sure everything was done perfect. Needless to say the kitchen tuned out fantastic for half the price I was quoted from contractors and was done exactly on time. The cool part was having Angel was like having a contractor, anything she could do to help she would, and any service outside of what they offered she would give great referrals. Keep in mind my kitchen is huge. I did also get a chance to meet the owner who was extremely gracious and genuinely curious to my satisfaction. My first time contracting any sort of construction was done in just over a month...success So you on a budget?? Want it done right??? Need quality materials?? You a stickler for customer service?? I'm not sure where all the negative reviews came from because we had such a pleasant experience. They remodeled our kitchen quickly and efficiently. They started the second week of December and they finished before Christmas- amazing. The only reason i'm giving 4 stars is because we had to switch our counter tops last minute due to their distributor which was stressful, but we are so happy with the ones we ended up with.
