Final update, with photos: Armando resolved the issue to my satisfaction, and you can't even see where the damage occurred (see photo, my finger is where the scrape was, looks good). I appreciate they could find a way to deal with this manufacturer defective paint, I know it was a challenge. Armando reached out and messaged me that he would correct the damage at no cost. I appreciate that he will not make me pay extra for damage that was incurred during their work. The paint is defective, I was upfront about that when I brought it in, and that is no one's fault but Hyundai's. But that is exactly why I brought it to MTJ to be fixed. (There's not even a recall, all I could find was Hyundai extended the warranty by a few years but notified owners so late that they're unlikely to have time left to take it to get fixed. But my specific year Tucson was not even included on that extended warranty. Again, don't buy Hyundai!) read more

This will be the 3rd time I use MTJ Bodyshop there was a delay on my repairs do to parts in backorder. They provide me the information of where they had place the order from that way i was able to confirm the parts delay to have piece of mind !! But they update d me throughout the hole process . I called around to other body shops to get some work done on my Range Rover and either no one could answer my questions, or they told me to come in - and I waited literally an hour only to find out they couldn't do the work for "a few days". They were quick to cash the checks from my insurance company but consistently gave me the runaround about work being completed on my truck. They kept saying parts were hard to find, but I'd easily find them online. Then they made excuses about not having the right key to work with, but they never called me to ask me for another key. The work itself was garbage: they took off the panel to my back driver side door which was not at all affected by accident, they replaced my front bumper with the wrong part, and left my truck without fog lights (aside from other small missing parts and screws)! They also left a ton of trash in the bed of my truck! WHY?!!!! I had to take my truck to another body shop and spend more money to fix the mistakes from this shop. I found this place from Yelp and I'm glad I did. I was helped by Armando who is friendly and know his work and made me feel welcome for my service. I came in to get an estimate on my car from a recent finder binder and he gave me a good price with a reasonable time it will be completed and resources for a rental if needed. All I can say is, do NOT trust these reviews. Do NOT make your decision based on the reviews to drop your car at this bodyshop. This bodyshop do NOT DO AN HONEST business. They do NOT RESPECT customers as they should. They do NOT COMMUNICATE as customer would expect. They do not have the minimum courtesy to keep their customers consistently updated, and little do they understand what the customer is requesting or expecting. They are quick to respond to google reviews but not reaching out to their customers. They ask you to call them, excuse me? It's not about who calls who even, it's about how you respect your customer. These reviews are either bogus or they might be good with smaller repairs, but not major repairs. If they do not have enough man power, they should have been honest about the timeline and I would have chosen another bodyshop at least. Only thing they have helped me with, was towing my car to their garage on a holiday for which I give that one star. If possible, I probably would give this a negative star rating based on my experience thus far. All I could hope now (since I dropped my car at this bodyshop) is at least, they do an excellent job with the repairs. I do not want to take their credit w body work if they deserve it but let's see. My overall experience has not been the best, so I am very skeptical about everything with this bodyshop. To the bodyshop- Please treat your customers with the respect they deserve!! Going through car repairs itself is a grueling experience, don't make it any harder than that to your customers. Please keep your customers and their requests into consideration and be honest!! The process was painless, they worked directly with Geico for the repairs and assisted me with the rental car pick up and kept me updated on repairs. I got sideswiped and the deductible and insurance was just too much to deal with amongst the covid crisis, so naturally I went to Yelp to find a no BS, straight up and professional auto shop to get me back in working order. I came across MTJ and with all the reviews, I requested a quote. Within minutes I was on the phone with Armando and he gave me a quote based on the pictures. I showed up the next day, got a rental from Hertz and back to my daily routine in no time. So, the work done was flawless and fast. I got my car back but there was a rattle. I went back to the shop and Armando and his team wouldn't let me leave without finding out where it was coming from. They spent almost 2 hours looking and taking it apart. Come to find out, it was a blown speaker. They killed the noise and made my life so much better! Their work was flawless and now I just had to tell Yelp about it. These guys are so caring and honest, the quote held so there weren't other expenses, and Armando, his wife and team are fantastic. Very funny owner. First of all he said he is the best and 20 years in business. Then he charged me 300$ to simply apply carbon piece to the front bumper. Finally parking sensors stopped working , because of curve fitting. And happy end - he disabled park sensors in my car, so I won't be able to see his mistake (that what real man doing when making mistake lol). Ah, and yes. He didn't have thin enough double sided tape, so he applied this carbon piece on the glue. I would highly recommend not dealing with these people at all they are charlatans. They refused to provide a detailed quote or explanation of the charges did not accept credit cards and insisted only on payment by Zelle. When I refused To sign a warranty disclaimer they said that they would not let me leave with my car even though I had paid their exorbitant and unjustified fees in full. I had to call 911 before they eventually moved the car that was blocking my exit highly recommend that you do not use this place at all. read more

Not a good experience. Dropped off my car on a monday at MTJ due to the good reviews. This was a mistake. It was scheduled to be completed on wednesday (possibly thursday). They call me on wednesday to tell me my car is not ready yet but will be ready by thursday at 11am. I go to the body shop on thursday at 11am and see the car with no side mirror and no handle. The lady in the office tells me it just needs to get washed and should be ready momentarily, so i wait. An hour passes and then they change the story and tell me its going to be ready by 5pm. I ask if I can get one of the advertised rental cars on site and get a "No". I had to leave for work due to all the time they were taking and asked for a discount to at least cover my $40 uber expenses. Another "No". Upon picking up my car I asked again about the discount and they used some excuse that it wasn't up to them but up to the owner, that there was nothing they can do for my troubles (that they could have avoided by correctly communicating). At the end of the day my door handle was repaired but does not look like the other one and certainly not to par for what I would expect this place to be based on the reviews- thankfully the car is a lease. I now know what body shop not to use should anything happen to my car again. read more

I found these guys off of a plain Google search, and they were the body shop closest to me with the highest reviews. I brought in my Mazda3 which had the entire rear torn and these guys made it look like brand new again, and as if the accident never even happened. They took a bit long to finish, but the work was top quality. This is my third time coming for a repair, Armando & Daniel are always super patient even though the insurance took over 10 months even for the smallest tiny repairs they will take their time to get things done and always be there throughout process. Pricing is also top notch, I'm extremely picky when it comes to paint since it is such a delicate process and it seems that most shops in Miami DONT know how to paint, MTJ paint always comes out blended right with rest of the car looking great with an high gloss. My 2013 BMW 528i this is the second time this car comes here first time was for a rear accident, and this time was for a front accident. In next few months I will be repainting several doors,fenders,bumpers and fixing details on my 2014 BMW M6 I have looked around most shops charge 3-5x the amount for most "European paint shops" as I am extremely picky, if your coming out of pocket Armando and the team understands and will work with you won't cost you a arm and leg Quotes I got from other shops were insanely high. This is my go to shop for out of pocket repairs & insurance simply can't beat it, this is coming from a person who is EXTREMELY picky with PAINT! And I do not like being ripped off!
