I came on a Friday to get a pedicure with shellac, I was charged $55 and paid in cash. Half of my pedicure peeled off in the next few hours. I came back the next day to get it redone and asked to pay the difference to have acrylic toes done instead as I was extremely disappointed with the shellac. Instead of understanding my frustration and trying to resolve the issue the lady at the front desk started getting extremely frustrated and told me it would be an additional $100. I explained to her that instead of getting the shellac pedicure redone I just wanted to pay the difference for the acrylics and she kept using a rude tone of voice so much so that I had to ask her to keep her composure. She was grunting and rolling her eyes constantly. She was extremely distasteful and should not be working at any establishment ever. She told me someone would be coming to do the acrylics for me using the rudest customer service tone I have ever heard. Sammy who ended up doing my toes was amazing! She was friendly and we had a great conversation. When I was leaving I was to pay the $20 difference and I paid with card. My total showed up at $22.60 on the machine but when I left I noticed a surcharge of 54 cents that was charged and Brenda at the front desk had not notified me that I would need to pay a surcharge for using a credit card. A credit card surcharge which a customer is not notified of is illegal in Canada. The website also shows that an acrylic pedicure is $50+ yet I was told it would be $80. I understand length and shellac are all surcharges but the jump from $50 to $80 makes zero sense. The prices are misleading. Once again, the lady at the front desk is awful. Do not go to this salon if you want good service. The nail ladies working there are all kind and polite except for the extremely rude lady Brenda at the front desk. Do not recommend. Edit: after posting this review the salon has blocked me on their instagram out of fear that customers will see my 100% honest review. Please note that my review is honest and truthful and do not waste your time and money at this establishment. I would like to see Brenda let go as she is ruining what could otherwise be a good business.

If you come here, you do not have to worry about who will be doing your nails. Just know that it will turn out great. My feet were in foil and acetone for exactly 35 minutes while she worked and filed my hands - I had to speak up. I asked that before she began polishing my hands, I wanted my feet out of the acetone - it was already much too long a soak. Boy, she did not like me setting boundaries. She stopped working on my hands to removal the shellac polish from my toes, still not rinsing the acetone solution off, so I had to ask for her to run some water in the bin so I could wash it off. And I did rinse it off. This deepened her already dark mood. I could feel her negative energy seeping out. She returned to my hands after I washed my feet, and I noticed she was putting a top coat on after only one coat of opi Malaga Wine! I spoke up. I asked her why she was already putting a top coat on. Industry standard is 2 coats, I've never had a one coat manicure after 30 + years of polishing my nails - this is nonsense. What's happening here? She said none of her clients complain, the polish was very, very thick so one coat would do. This is so wrong. Ladies, you have to advocate for yourselves, this place will take advance of you in any way they can. Thick, goopy polish needs to be thinned, or, tossed. Open a new bottle for heavens sake, or recommend I choose another colour, perhaps. Nope. Over all, a very disappointing experience that cost me 3 hours sitting in a salon. It's possible it was a very bad day for the tech and she needed to take it out on someone, but I believe that they rely on people's general sense of politeness, and inability to speak up and advocate for themselves, when they are being taken advantage of. Would never return, nor would I recommend. (It really doesn't matter that it was only the one technician, the situation was managed poorly overall and that speaks volumes to their ethics in running their business) That said, my toes were polished nicely, and a second technician (re-)did a good job with my hands.

Anyways, Vee was chatty with me and did a great job on my nails. Her technique was great. I never felt uncomfortable or any pains. I then got my dip nails done by Trinh.
