This is my regular hangout!!!! I get shellac mani's every two weeks (only because my nails grow like fertilizer not because of the techniques) and my nails always look wonderful. The best is their extreme focus on hygiene and wellness. They care about your health and will not perform anything if they feel your nails/lashes/skin cannot handle it. This place is AMAZING! The shop was very clean with tasteful decor that makes it feel very relaxing and classy. The ladies who work here are extremely accommodating and professional. I booked a future eyelash appt and they made every effort to work with my schedule. I will update this review once I get it done. For my first visit, I got a shellac mani and pedi. Loved that have a great assortment of colours and the swatches were grouped according to hue. Made it so much easier to pick. They were also able to do an accent nail for me. Another thing I like was how they had customer parking at the back lot since they are right on Eglinton Ave W and the only other option is street parking. Love love love the atmosphere at Muah Beauty. I've been a few times and it hasn't been super busy and the staff and owners have been very nice and welcoming. I have been to Muah three times and have been very happy with my pedicures but most recently had an issue with a gel manicure. There must have been something wrong with the polish (not the fault of the salon at all) as it wasn't sticking to my nails for some reason even after extra cure time. There was no other gel colour I was feeling so I agreed to use a regular polish with a gel topcoat because I was told it would last as well as a regular gel manicure. I definitely am disappointed as after a day and a half I already have decent chipping happening on the ends of my nails. I wouldn't be so upset except I just realized that I was charged $10 for the gel polish, I guess for the gel topcoat, which obviously didnt really work to preserve my manicure :( I would definitely visit again for a pedicure but not too sure about another manicure. read more

I came in with my girlfriend to treat ourselves to a pedicure. The service went well up until I had my feet scrubbed. While the lady was scrubbing my left foot, she wasn't paying any attention whatsoever by constantly looking away from what she was doing. Within seconds, I felt like my skinned was literally being skinned right off. I immediately told her to stop because it was so painful and as I looked down at my foot, I noticed a big open wound and blood started to drip. No proper help or cleansing was attempted to help me, I wasn't even offered a band aid. I didn't think too much of it at first, but I paid the full service fee and was very generous on a $20 tip. The next day I noticed how difficult it was to walk. The wound worsened and was sore. Moments later they were contacted and I was told I could have my money back. But things turned sour very fast the moment I walked in. The lady, named Brenda, who didn't do my pedicure was unbelievably rude and gave me a difficult time while the lady who actually performed my pedicure was really apologetic. Not sure why Brenda who didn't do the service took over as she wasn't the one who caused this issue. She told me "this isn't our fault this happened to you, you probably had a cut already before the service". I explained if I had a cut (which I didn't) I wouldn't have put myself at risk of opening up a wound. I also explained they should be trained to look out for anything that would prevent them from doing a service in the first place. Brenda continued to argue with me, rolling her eyes and giving me attitude. I even took pictures to show her the damage that was done and she still told me it wasn't their fault. It ended up with me only getting a partial of my money back, not including the tip. Even getting my money back turned into a huge argument with Brenda. Needles to say, we are never returning here again, don't waste your time or money on this place! If they ruin anything while performing a service, they will blame it on you and take your money! I feel like this situation blew up bigger than necessary as there shouldn't have been such an unprofessional argument in regards to a refund. A refund should have simply been issued and regret spending my money + giving an overly generous tip considering the condition I left in. Worst place to ever get a service! read more

Great new salon in an up-and-coming area along the future Eglinton LRT line. Beautiful storefront and chic, elegant interior. Very pleasant staff. Great introductory rates (and very good, competitive regular rates as well). Had a mani-pedi; technician was very meticulous, and more gentle than any other I've ever had (especially for the pedicure).
