Sure enough, within 4 minutes Beate came out and introduced herself as my hygienist for the day. Pleasant, professional, and super thorough- my cleaning went about as flawlessly as could be expected. She spoke about the things she was doing so that I didn't wonder what was happening. Sometimes in the past, I have been delayed or waited a long time to see the Dr. when the cleaning was wrapping up. Dr. Bowns was in to see me within 2 minutes of finishing with Beate. He is pleasant, easy to talk with, and I found it refreshing that I was in and out of the office in less than one hour. They will bill my insurance company, and if there is anything I have extra I'll get a call. MALPRACTICE AND NIGHTMARE!!!…read more Please do not fall for her background description on her website! She does not specialized in implant dentistry at all!!! My orthodontist referred me to Dr. Kim. Even though it was a one-hour drive, I still chose to see Dr. Kim because trust was something that could not be replaced by distance. She did my dental cleaning, tooth extraction and bone grafting. However, my nightmare started with bone grafting.... I needed dental implant for two of my teeth, after she did the bone grafting I went back for a checkup about 3 month later; Dr. Kim touched my gum during my checkups and scheduled me for the implant. I did not realized at the time but: No X-ray or CT before and after bone grafting. Dr. Kim simply used her "magic hand" to touch my gum and decided it was ready to place the implant. On the day of implant, there was no X-ray or CT scan either, she simply cut my gum open and a few moments later, she told me my bone was too thin to do the implant. She had to close my gum...she then suggested me to see an oral surgeon. She said the only way I could get a dental implant was to take a small piece of jawbone from my body and place it in the missing tooth area to create ideal bone condition for implant. (None of the oral surgeons I seek for second opinion agreed with Dr. Kim's opinion, they all insisted my case was simple and general dental implant was good to go) Poor bedside manner: I was lying there, numbed (local anesthesia), my gum was cut wide open..., all I heard was Dr. Kim was running here and there, looking for things, murmured negatively and then told me that she could do nothing. Yes. With my gum was still cut open and not being able to talk yet. Outdated and irresponsible bone grafting/dental implant: 1). Here in Dr. Kim's office, you will not be treated with PRP/PRF procedures, which is to draw patient's own blood and centrifuge before bone grafting to optimize healing. In the email I addressed this question, asking her why they she did not apply this treatment; she explained, "PRP/PRF can help for better healing but nothing is guaranteed". Then why the oral surgeons I visited for second opinion use this method without any hesitation. They all take PRP granted as a necessary procedure of bone grafting. One thing for sure, this office has no such machine to centrifuge blood. 2). Dr. Kim's office does not have any CT scanner equipment, in which case how could she handle bone issues before placing her scalpel?! Oh, instead of using any mature technology, she preferred to open her patient's gum and check bone condition. While we the patients took the pain and risk gum recession issues...it was reckless!!! Funny that when I asked her why you didn't prescribe me any CT scan beforehand? She said, "It's cheap". You know what, this whole dental office is cheap! As a dentist, you want to set foot in oral surgeon's area (dental implant) but reluctant to invest in a cone beam CT machine. At least you could have suggested your patients to get CT scan somewhere else. Honestly, Dr. Kim can handle general dental cleaning and some other regular checkup. But if you are like me, who is looking for dental implant, reading online reviews to identify and determine the right doctor to visit, please at least avoid Dr. Kim. She obviously is not knowledgeable enough to handle difficult miscellaneous problems. Please go seeking an oral surgeon, who specialize in tooth extraction and implant!

I came here initially for a routine cleaning and checkup. Debbie, the dental hygienist is awesome! She put me at ease and gave me a handful of different strategies to try while getting my teeth cleaned, to try to suppress my gag reflex. Not once did she become impatient with me. The cleaning was pleasant, quick, and thorough. Paula has also been a tremendous help with all my complicated billing questions. She even knew everything about dental insurance questions/claims for teachers who work for Gwinnett County. I highly recommend coming here, if even to save yourself from the insurance headache questions. Dr. Bae, who I have now gone to for 2 different treatment appointments (once for 3 fillings on the bottom right, once for 2 fillings on the bottom left) and she is just superb. She was also understanding, kind, and patient with my extreme gag reflex. Sorry for hitting you, Dr. Bae!! She and the assistant were so good about letting me try different methods to suppress my gag reflex, take breaks whenever I needed, and asked if I was okay all along the way! These people all have the patience and kindness of a saint and a half! When I arrived, I checked in with Jessie who had a personality that was welcoming, friendly, and very bubbly. Together Isabelle and Jessie were a dream team and went above and beyond for me. Both ladies had such positive attitudes, were so respectful to one another with the kind words they used when interacting with one another and the other patients. I met with Dr. Cho who was very timely, direct, informative, and suggested an immediate plan of action. Dr. Cho answered all of my questions thoroughly and allowed me to me to feel at ease and I instantly felt very confident snd comfortable with my upcoming surgery. The VA sent me to Johns Creek Dental Studio, in April, 2026, for a possible crown needed for tooth…read more#3. The dentist, Arjun Parikh, said I needed a crown. His assistant, Sejja, attempted to make the temporary crown 2 times on the first visit, but she never could do it, so she had to let Aniah finish the job. Sejja did a really bad job, and the temporary was just barely hanging on the tooth. Two days later, part of the crown came off, so I had to return to the clinic. During this visit, Sejja attempted 5 times to make the temporary, but she still couldn't do it, so she turned it over, once again, to another person to finish the job. In my opinion, this is total incompetence! I have had 10 crowns made at other clinics, and I never experienced this problem before. However, it gets worse from here: Sejja made the mold for the permanent crown, and she also messed that up. The crown has an indention at the top, that makes it extremely difficult to floss the area. When I floss, it creates pain and bleeding in the gum line. She also messed up on the night guard, and it's a difficult fit. This young lady messed up on EVERYTHING she did! I have never experienced this before at any other dentist! I told Arjun Parikh, and he laughed in my face, and he came across to me as arrogant and narcissistic. He told me he stands behind the faulty work that Sejja did. I went to another dentist, and the new dentist told me the tooth needs to be extracted, because I have bone loss, and that I would need a bone graft. THEREFORE, JOHNS CREEK DENTAL STUDIO MADE A CROWN FOR A TOOTH THAT NEEDS TO BE EXTRACTED. I BELIEVE THIS IS DENTAL MALPRACTICE, AND I AM CURRENTLY HAVING THIS In review, here are the problems that Johns Creek Dental created for me: 1. Pain in the gumline, between the two upper right molars, that gets much worse when I eat certain foods that get trapped between these teeth. Before this permanent crown, I never had a problem with food getting stuck between these teeth. 2. Pain between the two upper right molars from flossing in that area. The pain can become pretty bad. 3. Inflammation between those two teeth, mostly caused from flossing, but also from eating. 4. Extreme difficulty flossing between those two teeth, because Johns Creek Dental Studio created a jagged area at the top of the crown, so the dental floss doesn't glide smoothly. Out of the 10 total crowns I have had done from other dentists, this is the only crown that has this problem, so Johns Creek cannot try to say that this problem is normal. 5. A bulky crown that doesn't feel natural, as compared to the other nine crowns, from other dentists. 6. The gum line between those two molars bleeds very easily when I floss that area. I never had this problem with the bleeding before Johns Creek Dental Studio made this crown. I will strongly encourage everyone to stay away from Johns Creek Dental Studio!

I attempted contacting the V.A. For several months, to no avail. It's was very time consuming. Well I called the Doctors office to see if there was a possibility of me paying out of pocket. But after getting a warm introduction to Tina, she expressed deep concern with my Delima. She asked me to please let her try her skills at getting the ball moving. After letting her take the reins, Tina not only got the approval same day, but she also set me up for a visit for my crown work that same day. I must say that Tina is a Go Getter and very prized asset to the staff. I am very thankful that I met her.
