Fantastic Indian Food!…read more Wow, I was stuck in a terrible layover and I felt disappointed, nothing to do, and nothing to eat. Then I took a look at Yelp and found Takaa Tak! Wow! Excellent service, I was immediately sat in their last available table, the restaurant was lively. Every table had what looked like a happy group enjoying tasty food. While the restaurant was full, I was able to enjoy myself, it was NOT too loud and service was fast. I had food in my belly and I was out of the place within 30 minutes! They did not rush me, I rushed myself. I certainly want to be back, possibly booking myself another overnight layover just to enjoy a meal there!

BEST INDIAN FOOD EVER!!!…read more Just went here for lunch with my husband. We're staying at the Marriott just down the street. We were recommended a different Indian restaurant within walking distance from our hotel, however upon arrival we found it was closed until 5pm (as many Indian restaurants do). So we did a quick search of nearby Indian restaurants (because now I had my heart set on it) and found that there are TONS to choose from. We chose this one because it had indoor seating. We were the second customers in the dining room. It's clean and nicely decorated. We ordered the garlic naan, some samosas, I ordered the Korma chicken and my husband ordered the Tikka chicken. We ordered a bowl of basmati rice on the side. It doesn't come with rice, but the bowl is very big, more than enough for 2 people, and only £3.50. Everything was so delicious! I feel like that was the best samosa I've ever had! My korma chicken was so delicious! I was almost able to eat all of it. That's probably the most I've been able to eat in an Indian restaurant! I dipped my naan in the curry sauce. It was sweet and creamy. Absolutely perfect in every way! I'm coming back to London in a year and I'm definitely coming back to this restaurant again.

Just fine. Not exactly as I hoped it would be, but closer than anything I can get to it at home…read more Fast food-ified doner kebab...as soon as I saw it in the Boxpark, I knew what I would be ordering for my meal. It absolutely got the job done and it was messy but fine.

I had big hopes, but got disappointed the moment my food arrived…read more The blonde cashier who also makes the kebabs from time to time was fast and friendly. The menu is available as printed leaflet and on screen behind the till. There's a huge variety you can choose from. Amongst regulars like wrap or on a plate you also have choices like Döner Quesadillas or cheese balls. However, it's also misleading. (more below) It looks nice and clean as long as you don't go to the lavatory (men). The tiny sink with the micro tap in the super narrow corridor makes it difficult to not touch the surface, which is not really nice. Wait time was quite long with approx. 15-20 min, but maybe it was just very busy. They had quite a lot take outs. The meals have a good size (I had chicken wrap & mixed quesadillas) and as menu it comes with a drink and a handful fries. The ingredients are of high quality, but the craftsmanship isn't. The wrap was done poorly, all sauce were mixed together although they don't complement each other, it was more like eating the leftovers from the week rather than having a "signature" döner kebab. The quesadillas clearly shown with a nice bowl of salsa don't come with any. You can ask for some small sauce pots whatsoever, but don't expect nicely chopped tomatoes, onions, chilli etc. next to it. I liked their idea on the wrap to let the tomato slices stick out a bit. That doesn't really bother you while eating it and it gives it a nice touch. But the bottom need to be tucked in better otherwise you have to pick up the the last quarter from your tray (best case). Worst of all, when I was there the chef didn't wait for the meat to be done and cut slices of while it was still raw. It didn't happen once and I happened to see it only after I filled my stomach with the raw meat. The result was grumbling stomach for the rest of the afternoon. Also when I asked one of the waitresses to have the quesadillas packed she just gave me a box and bag and left. When I asked if she could do it for me I got a bs answer. Not nice. All in all, avoid this place. There's a better one in front of the Ealing Broadway station.

Their yogurt sauce on the lamb was bursting with flavor and I seriously could not finish the portion of the small. The guy behind at the counter was kind and gracious and the food was excellent, especially for a spot next to a station. Expected average; was thoroughly delighted with the taste!

Pretty good kebab shop next door to Ealing Broadway station. They pile on minimal amounts of salad,…read morealong with garlic mayo, minty yoghurt and a fairly spicy chilli sauce to make a tasty kebab for sober people as well as the drunk. They do, however, cut the chicken shawarma with onions sometime, for bulk as well as flavour, which is rather annoying for a kebab heathen like myself who eschews the onion. They serve their kebabs in pitta or freshly cooked naans and also sell some curries, tandoori chicken and chicken wings. All are pretty good, although there is occasionally a price to be paid the next day. It's quite pricy, which is its main downfall, but a fairly constant pitstop for me since I arrived in Ealing. Fun Fact: it was featured in an episode of Men Behaving Badly as one of the places that Gary and Dorothy went to celebrate an anniversary.
