I do not come here often as I find the food to be average. It is decent but nothing memorable. I usually have the bowl here. On my last visit, I had the chicken bowl, topped with corn, salsa and cilantro. I decided to keep it simple. The lime, hot sauce, burrito sauce and sour cream made it flavorful. Without the sauces and lime, the rice was quite bland. Maybe they should have cilantro lime rice as an option. This time the chicken was tender and full of flavor. I was told by an acquaintance that "Mucho Burrito" was a decent Mexican food place to grab tacos and of course , burritos. My wife and our family went to this restaurant and saw an amazing amount of ingredients around the front full of beans, rice, quinoa, salsa, meat etc. You have a choice of going regular with your burrito (about 4 inches) or Mucho burrito (bigger portion about 10 inches). I tried their mucho burrito and had these inside of it: Chorizo Brown rice Brown bread Beans Medium salsa Etc. My wife has a fun time after 30 minutes of eating at this restaurant as she stayed in the washroom for about 15 minutes. I put a three out of five star because the food was okay tasting but seemed to be missing a "Mexican" feel in the restaurant. Perhaps having a video showcasing where burritos and tacos come from in the entrance or having a server in front to greet us would suffice me giving four out of five star. read more

Used to come here because it was convenient and relatively affordable. Just like Chipotle I don't consider these Mexican restaurants actually being authentic. Nor do I consider these particularly good tasting restaurants. (I'm grouping these two restaurants since they're so similar..) Anyway this branch- service is hit and miss, basically treat it like a factory where staff just wants to get things done and move on to the next customer. Definitely healthier than your typical fast food McD, A&W etc. You even get a choice of different types of unlimited hot sauces. I typically order the burritos as they're large, you get to choose all your toppings, avocado cost extra, if there's two types of bean you can ask for half of each if you wish. The meats are prep'd and grilled/cooked in house from what I can see. A good place if you're starving, wish to be conservative on spending and want something decently healthy. If you're looking for Authentic: you should give Sal y Limon, The Mexican Antojitos Y Cantina or Chancho Tortilleria a try where a tell tale sign is that they're run by Mexicans. read more

Wow, an upscale fast-food Mexican place? This is more like the Quiznos of Mexican, if anything. Definitely classier than Subway. Plenty of parking in the strip mall parking lot. The inside has plenty of wood trim, and does look quite modern. You line up on one side, and place the order just like a sub shop. Actually quite charming. I had the carnitas (pork) burrito. A bit pricey at $10 after the $1 guacamole upgrade, but actually pretty freaking good. Plenty of rice and beans inside, with the sauce permeating the entire thing. They were quite generous on the meat as well. I never had a vegetarian bite at all. They also sell some funky Mexican drinks, but I didn't try one. The location is a bit out of the way unless you live in New Westminster, but if you're in the area, it's definitely worth checking out. read more

This place reminds me of a fast food line up, where you pick your taco, pick your filling and pick your sauce. The burritos come in different sizes accompanied with some nachos. The taco combo comes in three (although the taco isn't very large) and you can choose a variety of flavours, such as pollo (marinated chicken), barbacoa (shredded beef), carne asada (charbroiled steack), carnitas (slow cooked pork), chorizo (crumbled sausage), tilapia (pan seared), shrimp (marinated pan seared), vegetarian (sauted veggies). Their portions have shrunk while their prices have shot up, the last two burritos I've ordered from there have been put together like the person making them fundamentally did not understand burritos are supposed to be layered vertically and not like little stacked apartments of paltry toppings, and tonight, I found an entire actual rock in my burrito. Found one day as I wandered this huge strip mall, and decided it looked enough like Chipotle's in the US to try it. Really glad I did. In the half dozen times I've been here, there's rarely a lineup, however if there is, it goes fast. Kids under 12 eat free as well, after 4pm, as long as someone in your group also orders a regular sized burrito. I liked that the staff told me this, and automatically deducted it from the bill. Fresh ingredients, made how you like it. I order the taco salad minus the bowl. It's a huge meal, and perfect. Great for gluten and starch-free folks like myself, who want something fast, filling and tasty. My only complaints are the usually dirty tables and full garbage. A few days ago my hubby and I were in the area and I was looking for something different than your regular take out. Haven seen this "restaurant" a few times in passing we decided to try it out. We were pleasantly surprised and have since gone back. The burritos are really good. I was able to get a mix of fresh veg which was a nice treat from the norm, and it included green peppers and corn both of which I love. The second time I had the salad and the shell was stiff but soft, not crisp like a deep fried tortilla shell and of course the fresh veg and real lettuce, not the strips you get at most places. The burritos are my favorite, so I usually get the burrito- this time i took my Mexican boyfriend and he was intrigued. He claimed it was very Tex-Mex, but he was super happy with the flavors, regardless of the style. He had the pork burrito. I had the beef. he liked mine better. He wants to go back again, as they had some great specials this week for Cinco De Mayo. A Mexican version of Subway? Maybe if they hired José to be their Jared. Conceptually it's the same deal. Pick your tortilla type, meat, veggies and sauce/salsa. Going with the Pequeño (10" small) @ $6.99, this 'aint your typical cheap Mexican joint. For meat I went with the pork. Stuffed the rest with beans, cheese and veggies. The Burrito 'artist' had trouble rolling it up as it was stuffed. Taste wise, it wasn't anything great. Meat lacked flavour, freshness was lacking for all ingredients. I.e. far from authentic, but hey that's what happens when you franchise anything. I guess that's what their selection of salsas was for. To douse their burritos with some kind of flavour. I'll stick to the mom and pop's Mexican places. Update: So it seems my memory failed, the 10" is $6.99 not $7.99. read more

The food is "just fine" given it's a healthier option for what's in the area. My main issue is the staff. I have been a Mucho fan for a while now, originally in Edmonton though. found out there was one way down south in Burnaby and I had to give it a shot! Have been there twice now, and I have to say, when I have a mucho craving ain't nothing hits the spot like a mucho burrito! It's basically a build your own burrito style place, they have a few other things on the menu but I haven't tried anything but the burritos. Choose your tortilla size, and then the fillings. I always go for the beef, they seem to have the seasoning down to an art! Also have the regular toppings. You can also get fresh cilantro, jalapenos, and lime juice and this just seems to make it for me. There is no table service. You advise on how to make your burrito, pay for it, then choose between a high top or booth seat to eat it. The restaurant was quite on a Friday afternoon. We had our choice of any of polka dotted booth seats. Quiet groups of one sat alone enjoying their some what healthier, quick bite. The staff were your standard part time young adults, working on minimum wage. And to keep the Mexican vibe, Mexican music with maracas play over head. Would I go back? Yes, the food was good and quick. They have enough ingredients to make enough combos, to keep you coming back to try the entire menu. Under $10 for a half a pound burrito is a good deal. I enjoy this place for some fresh tasting burritos, which are definitely a step up from Taco TIme or Taco Del Mar. It is hard to compare Mexican places in Canada to those in the States or even Mexico, but this one is closer to those than the 2 I previously mentioned! The ambiance is pretty relaxed too. They have booths, raised tables, a TV for entertainment. Mucho Burrito is great. Always fresh ingredients and a variety of options. I personally love "Jarritos" which are the Mexican sodas that they have, few restaurants have them. Try the Mandarin one. I find it ironic that a business will advertise by sending out promotional coupons, then once said coupon brings a new customer into the store, do everything they can to refuse to honour the coupon. They rather charge full price, make a few dollars now, and have a disgruntled customer, than honour their promotional offer and have perpetual repeat business from a new customer. I ripped out a coupon from their promotion which clearly said "Valid at ALL participating locations." and this location was listed on the back. However, when I presented it, they refused to accept it as the portion of the coupon I presented did not contain this location's address on the reverse side, even though it was on the coupon directly below it, which I did not rip out. ??? I guess their policy is to make any excuse they can to avoid accepting their own promotional offers. Furthermore, the manager was extremely rude about it and didn't seem to care at all about losing business or customers. The head office was given an opportunity to respond prior to this review being published but they failed to do so. Thus demonstrating that the lack of customer service (or common sense) is not confined to this location only but is prevalent throughout the organization. read more
