MB was a favourite haunt for my previous work team in the GTA so when I found out Stittsville was getting one right up the street from me, you'd best BELIEVE I was lined up a week before opening. Yum! I love the Mucho Burrito in our neck of the woods (their Baseline and Merivale location), and figured the one in Kanata would probably be a good choice for lunch. I decided to forego my usual chicken quesadilla for one of their salad bowls and was so glad I did. The salad bowls come in whole wheat or white and are a good size. The price includes guacamole which is nice since I'm a guac FIEND and love theirs. I went with the chicken and threw on some beans, salsa and ranch sauce. It was simply delish and just enough food. I also got a side of their corn chips with salsa and guacamole (told you - fiend), the boyfriend got a steak burrito and enjoyed it as well. He loves that they have different hot sauces to try out as well. So yes, this is a fast food chain, but it's my new favourite. It kills any fast food burger joint and is a nice switch from Subway. This spot wasn't as clean or as nicely kept as the Baseline location, but it's older so perhaps that's why. Our meal, along with two canned drinks came to about $22. I'm not sure why but I liked this place better when it first opened. The burritos were never fantastic but they were ok. If you want a fresh non vegetarian burrito I'd recommend going during the lunch rush as they're grilling all their meats at that time. If you just miss the rush there is a possibility the grilled meat will sit for a bit in the trays. I find the burritos bland the last few times I was here. I've tried all of the burritos and the carne and pulled pork were at one time pretty decent. The only thing that is annoying is they can't make a burrito for a size properly. Depending on who's working your large might end up as the same size as my medium and that's no big deal for me but I know some people get annoyed when they pay the difference only to get a burrito pretty much the same size as the one under it with more tortilla. They do have hot sauces at some of the counters and you can take them to your tables. The hot sauces aren't bad here. read more

Meat choices include pulled beef and pork, chicken, and even fish. Add beans, guacamole, and a variety of salsas ranging from mild to super spicy. They also have a selection of hot sauces for you if you still think you need a little more zing. We tried the Quesidillas and the burrito. For the Quesidillas I used chucked and for the burrito we chose pulled pork. Serving size these are very filling. We stopped in for a snack hoping to just get us by tim dinner but we were so full after. Prices are reasonable. They also serve a few kinds of beer if you're a beer drinker. read more

I usually love that chain but for a lunch rush I would have expected food to be warm at the least. Rice was hard, meat was cold, veggies weren't cut, the guacamole was literally one hard piece of avocado that couldn't be mashed. I ordered a side of chips and queso, the sauce was all clumped as if it had been made the day before and left to reheat for too long. Normally come here often and it's usually pretty good but it's declined a lot lately. They're super cheap on their meat portions. Ordered a chicken burrito and might as well have been a veggie... I'm usually a fan of this place; I prefer it to Chipotle, but tonight I came by well ahead of its posted closing time only to find it preemptively closed. Oops! I reviewed the wrong location! But I have been to several locations and the quality is consistent, so I think everything I wrote still applies :) I love this place and am never disappointed! I usually get a small veggie burrito which I can never finish anyway. The portions are generous and they don't skimp on the fixins, which are fresh and delicious. Now, you do pay for that. It's fast food for sure, but it's a bit pricier than your average fast food joint. It's definitely worth it for the quality and quantity and freshness of the food, and the staff are always pleasant and friendly. Another reviewer said: "It's like the Harvey's of mexican fast food." which is really the perfect way to describe Mucho Burrito! But give me Mucho Burrito any day. So... go there. This has been our to-go lunch place every time we visited Ottawa / Kanata for a hockey tournament. Practically next door to the hotel (Country Inn), Mucho offers an almost perfect combination of healthy, fast, and inexpensive. I've noticed a few reviewer complaining about slow service. That has not been my experience. We would show up with a large party of kids and parents, and the line would get pretty long but the guys behind the counter would move it very fast. read more

This is a great little restaurant in the most ridiculous and retarded shopping area in Ottawa; Centrum Mall Kanata. I gotta say I wasn't expecting to enjoy the food here as much as I did. I always thought that this was just a fast food place like taco bell. Boy was I wrong. I had better tacos here that I have in some sit down Mexican restaurants in Ottawa. I had three port carnitas tacos and they were fresh and very tasty. My wife and daughters had burritos and were as happy with them as I was with my tacos. We will be back for more. My only problem with it was that they were blasting the music into the parking lot and I think someone forgot to turn the volume down in the store. Hopefully this was an accident. read more

Good food! Visited my daughter in Canada and we stopped for a quick lunch. Restaurant was full but we enjoyed the food.

I had high expectations going in after reading the reviews but was disappointed. The burrito was bland. The guacamole added no flavour, and the beans were dry. On the other hand the meat when sampled by itself had good flavour and moisture. The bread (pita?) was also good. The cinnamon roll was tiny and older/dryer then what you'd get at walmart. The price for a meal with drink and cinnamon roll came to around $10. The staff was all young kids who were very nice and professional. All in all if you must have a burrito give this place a try but don't go in with high expectations read more

This is our go-to place when we want something quick that isn't burgers 'n fries. It's healthier too. they have lots of variety to fill up your burrito the way you want it with tons of fresh ingredients. The staff are quick and courteous and not put off by "newbies" who need help in making their selections. I have been to this location for a burrito at lunch time quite a few times. The food tastes good, probably the best burrito's I have eaten. In terms of the quality of the food, I have no complaints and have enjoyed it every time. However, they are very stingy with quantity. There has been times where they put the meat on the burrito, then take it OFF because it is "too much". I have never seen this kind of stinginess at any other type of restaurant, only at Mexican burrito places for some reason. This is the reason I will not be giving it 4 stars. Love it!!! Its one of the only quick places where, after eating, I don't feel terrible for my family ormy stomach. The Mucho size burrito is plenty... my wife and I split one. I've been going all the time, now that they have a drive-thru! The beef shredded tacos on a soft shell with hot sauce, jalapeños and cilantro is AMAZING! I can't get enough. The chicken burrito is good. I got it smothered with medium sauce and sour cream. The combo comes with a drink and chips w/ salsa. My only complaint is there's never enough salsa. But I would highly recommend checking this place out, especially with the drive-thru! read more

I've been here twice and I did enjoy my experience each time, although I discovered that the medium sized burrito is a little too much for me the first time. The second time, I went with the small burrito and it was perfect. The pulled pork is excellent and looks like the most appetizing meat option at first glance. I like that all the ingredients are fresh. It's like a Subway, except with Mexican food. The only thing I was kinda disappointed with was the nachos. The chips themselves were fine but there was not enough salsa for them at all. I ended up improvising by using them for them for the parts of my burrito that had fallen out. Decent burrito. Not quite as fresh as some of the other options but totally hits the spot. Biggest issue is that they have rolled my burrito the wrong way several times :( Nothing like bites of nothing but rice only to get to a huge chunk of meet at the end. Just had Mucho Burrito for dinner tonight. We tried the Drive Thru this time because we couldn't find parking and I was worried about how if would turn out since I couldn't supervise the construction process...it was delicious!!! They seem to assign you a drive thru person who goes through the station as if you were right in front of him of her from start to finish. It was much better than rhyming all of the toppings off in the hopes that the person on the other end is hearing (and remembering) the list of toppings. I got a small beef burrito everything on it and with mild salsa because, let's face it, I'm a big wuss and I once ordered a burrito with medium salsa and couldn't finish it. I wish they wouldn't use green peppers but otherwise everything is usually pretty perfect. Only downside is the location: as I mentioned, it can be tough to get parking, especially because mucho shares the lot with a Harvey's, but the drive thru worked out great and didn't take long so go for it! read more

Very satisfying burrito experience. I enjoyed the guacamole, the fresh tasting salsas, the cilantro, black beans and shredded beef. The medium salsa was not spicy, I wish I would have tried the hot. I would come back here. The staff were friendly and helpful and they have a family washroom here with changing table if you have a baby. The price was also reasonable and the regular size burrito is definitely big enough to fill you up. Their mucho size tortilla is crazy big... I can't imagine how big it would be stuffed! read more

Parking is almost always a problem at this location at least at peak times but you can drive thru if your interested. Expect to find a line at peak times but they seem to move people quickly through the line. I ordered the trio tacos what surprised me is they don't offer lettuce or a pico the taste was alright. If ordered again would leave off the hot sauce as it was very very watery which caused the tacos to be soggy. The ingredients for the most part were fresh which is great but the soft taco shells and hard shells are the weak link. I think that the reason people rate this higher then I is cause they haven't eaten at a Qdoba or Chipotle which are just so much better. read more

I had not been happy with the service but decided to try again and was disappointed once again. It should not take 25 minutes to get your order. It took 5 to make the burrito but over 20 minutes to pay for a cold meal. Cannot compare to Chipotle at all, they are skimpy with the toppings, menu is too complicated, and they don't know how to run a cash. Avoid if you can! read more

The food here is great. It's not a taco bell rip off. It has fresh ingredients, decent portions and a really great taste. My husband and I go here quite often. The reason for my review is that the staff there is always stressed out and a bit rude with us. I've had people bark questions at me, get cross when I don't understand the question and I've watched a person on cash eat food from another store behind the counter. Took a chance bringing the kids here because I was desperate for one of their bueno burritos - and I was pleasantly surprised-the fussy eater and the adventurous one were happy and full when we left - that alone is worth 2 stars, 2 more for the fabulous food and to have a Sol beer too-what more can 2 tired parents want. Came here without really knowing what to expect, other than this place would be serving Mexican food. I came to realize that the ordering experience was sort of like ordering from subway, easy enough, and the staff were pretty friendly. I ordered a mucho veggie burrito with some spicy salsa and the works, I wanted some heat in this bad boy. Anyways, when I got the burrito, it was big, as in huge... Very huge! I definitely had some serious burrito left over to bring home with me, and I was definitely not opposed to doing just that! It was warm Amazingness that hit my mouth and I was really surprised by how good it was. This place has all of the authentic flavours of Mexico, but with a fast food and made to order atmosphere. Okay I believe I'm done with this location, I don't assume all Mucho Burrito locations are the same. The last time I went through the drive through I ordered the chicken mucho burrito. I drove 5 minutes back to work and when I went to eat the burrito I got a mouthful of hard chicken bits. Not all the way through the burrito, just enough that I had to spit them out. Not impressed at all. April 2016. I love the burritos here, reminds me of the ones I used to get in California. I went through the drive through a few times at the Kanata location. Note to management: train your employees in how to sound pleasant. Each time I have gone through the person sounds like they are so depressed. I asked for jalapenos 3 times and got them only. Not a huge deal, the flavours of the burritos is excellent, but don't ask me if I'd like something and then not put it in the burrito. Would be a better rating if the employees were more happy when they take your order. read more

Having recently moved to Canada from the States where Mexican food is everywhere, I was excited when I found this place. No, it is not a taqueria. It is fresh mex, just like Chipotle. It's not authentic mexican food, but its not mean to be. I thought it was pretty darn good and a nice alternative to all the burgers and fries that seem to be the only fast food I can usually find here. The staff was nice, my food was good. A little on the pricey side, I usually split my burrito for a guilty pleasure snack. The service is great, tables are clean and constantly wiped. Been to other fast-food Mexican restaurants, and mucho burrito does a great job. Price was a little high compared to those burger joints, but you get what you pay for considering the fresh food, great service, and serving size.
