As there was no sign asking to wait to be seated, we assumed we should seat ourselves at any available table which we did. Waited and waited for a server and menus. Caught the eye of one server but she ignored us. Finally found another who immediately stated it was because we seated ourselves. No apology, no suggestion that she would immediately get us menus. We left, and got a fantastic lunch at another restaurant. I guess the server was having a bad day and took it out on us. We won't be back.

Surprisingly, the tuna tartare (the most expensive one) was my least favourite; something about it tasted too earthy and I couldn't taste the tuna that much as the other flavours were overpowering. The crispy fish is a must-try, and the grilled chicken is a pleasant surprise - you don't expect it to blow you away, but somehow it does. I also had a bite of the steak taco which was delicious.

So I decided to live a life of danger and go back to a Burrito Gringo without an Epi Pen, haha! I am happy to report that I had 3 tacos and no reactions :) I like how you can choose between hard and soft tacos, and with soft tacos you can choose between corn or wheat. I got 3 soft corn tacos ($10.75). You can get different meats on each taco, so I got chicken, steak, and pulled beef. At most places the taco toppings are just the protein, salsa, cheese, lettuce and sour cream, but here I was also able to add rice, beans, and sauteed vegetables, hurray! There was just 1 type of rice (lime rice), and sauteed vegetables (onions and peppers), but there were 3 types of beans: refried, black, and pinto. I got the pinto beans. I loved how the tacos were full of toppings. They were super messy to eat as a result, but I didn't mind, I just used a fork. The tacos tasted ok. I didn't get any real strong flavours, it's like the flavours were muted. The food wasn't bland as they used adequate salt, it just lacked oomph in the flavour department.
