Bf and I went inside the Mucho Burrito on a hot Sunday afternoon for lunch. The place was pretty busy with a good flow of people and the staff were really hustling behind the counter. I ordered the regular vegan crumble burrito and he got the regular chorizo. When preparing my burrito the staff acknowledged that I'd ordered the vegan crumble and promptly offered me the Vegan Mozzarella to go alongside it, which I happily took. The seasonings on the fillings and the array of fresh ingredients are always on point for any location I've been to, and in this case, it was no different. Delicious, flavourful, crisp, and well seasoned, with a light yet tangy list of sauces to choose from that are perfectly paired to top it off. The only issue we had was when we ordered the churros to try them out (1 for each of us) and were told it would be 5 minutes and they would bring them to our table, and after 10 or so minutes of waiting we had yet to receive them. Even at the time of this posting, still, 15 mins in, with no churro. The pace of customers has slowed greatly and they're cleaning which is good to see but we're still disappointed we paid and are left waiting. Otherwise, the staff was very pleasant, accommodating, and on the ball, overall. The location is clean, well-lit and inviting. Definitely recommend and will come back again~ :) Update: Staff who took our order came over to let us know that the churros were accidentally burned and that they are re-firing fresh ones just for us. My work often gets Mucho Burrito to cater lunches. I love when they do this! For this one I built my own bowl with rice, grains, chicken, beef, corn, cooked veggies, mango salsa, lettuce, and cheese. It was delicious. I ate more than I should have and then made a second bowl to take home for dinner! This is a great option for catered work lunches because people can make what they want, and it's fun and flavourful! read more

Healthy fast food :) $20 fed the three of us. My husband had the fish (tilapia) burrito, I had the pollo (chicken) burrito and the boy had a cheese quesadilla kids' combo. It was a pretty standard burrito worthy of three stars, however the price and portion size is extremely reasonable, so I added one more star. They also have a ton of gluten-free options as they carry corn tortillas. Fast food win! read more

Met some friends for a quick lunch at Mucho Burrito today. I ordered the Taqueria Salad with the Carnitas meat. I must say the salad was really good! I got the edible taco shell with salsa, cilantro, jalapeños, guacamole, Chipotle Vinegarette, sour cream, and even a wedge of lime...the works! The ingredients were fresh and the salad super tasty! The only down side to the salad was the taco shell was placed right onto the paper lining the metal tray they use for serving. I like the little metal tray...it's cute, but maybe it would have been better with out the paper for this menu item? Only because as I ate some of my shell the paper didn't hold up well to all of the sauces. Maybe a cardboard dish or something would have helped. I would definitely order it to go next time even if I was eating in! Overall though the food and the service was really good! I love Mexican! read more

Writing this for the guy next to me whos pissed off about his burrito. His was a little cold inside and went up to present the situation to the worker. They told him it was because of the sour cream. He clarified that it was also the meat. They explained to him that he couldn't be right. (Very confusing). He asked to heat it up. They said they couldn't do that. He asked for the manager. The manager also explained that his burrito couldn't be cold and also denied his request to heat it up. It was quite the spectacle. Then the manager turns around and walks away. The customer now is quite pissed and now demands his warm burrito. Other customers are now pissed off and yelling at the staff for justice....so then they decided to heat it up. I enjoy the food here but anyone who gives Mucho a 5-star rating hasn't been to Chipotle or Chronic Taco. Getting the reason why I give Mucho a 4/5 out of the way, I will elaborate on why I think they are a pretty boss burrito joint. Everything they cook with is fresh and prepared on a daily basis, delicious. Yes there is an upcharge for Guacamole. Big deal. Avocados are expensive. Get over it you cheapo! All the meat they serve is seasoned nicely and tastes great. The ground meats including the chorizo is not greasy whatsoever. I recommend blending chicken with chorizo in a Mucho Burrito. Mmmm very nice. I can take some heat and I really enjoy the fact that their hot sauce blended with their burrito sauce actually has some kick to it. Don't be afraid to add some Jalapenos and a little ghost pepper sauce if you are feeling really adventurous. I can not speak in their defence regarding the cold burrito guy (that situation sounded obsurd) but I have visited Mucho at least 30 times over and the service has been nothing but great. Give these guys a shot if you like Mexican food and are in the mood for a reasonably priced meal made with fresh ingredients. read more

This place is unreal. Not sure where bad reviews are coming from. If you have been to chipotle in the US or off robson downtown you know the drill. This place is a bit better in my opinion as there is quite a bit more selection. Tons of selection for toppings and good range of spiciness. This is a million times better than taco del mar. Do yourself a favour and get their specialty...a burrito. You are making a mistake if you get anything else. Everything is cooked fresh and they grill your burrito like 3 times. Tried it for the first time a couple days ago. Ordered the burrito bowl and they were too fast with their service. Chicken had chunks of fat to some pieces and lacked flavour. Ingredients were cold and not fresh. Chipotles is way better. Won't be back. read more

Mucho Burrito is excellent , there is so much selections you can add to your burrito. They recently have brought new items like quinoa which is one of my favorite things now to add to my burrito. I highly recommend coming here for sure read more

Ate at Mucho Burrito today and didn't like the beef at all. They hide the Carne Asada and don't even ask your preference when you order beef. They want to just give you the shredded stuff I presume because it is cheaper. I hate when they have promotions and you have to beg for it or you don't get it. Splashed everywhere they say free salsa and chips with purchase of Burrito and a drink. She rang up my meal and I ordered a drink and she pushes the tray towards me. I said do I not get chips and salsa free and she says oh did you want it? I guess they do that and if someone doesn't say anything they saved some chips. Customer service is not what they have here. If it was they would immediately upon an order for a burrito and drink ask if I wanted chips and salsa. read more

Drove by this place many times and decided to stop in 04/25 for lunch. Got the carne steak burrito regular size and it was a complete disappointment. When they were making it they put such a small amount of cheese on it I have seen more on frozen pizza! I asked for more and they would not so it without up-charging me. Add $1.00 for guacamole and I can see what the game is here to just up-charge for everything. Then I sat down to eat it and it was completely cold. You can't go wrong with Mucho Burrito. It's cheap, delicious and the portions are pretty big. Especially the large burrito. It actually weighs about the same as a small baby! It's fast food so don't be expecting restaurant service. The one thing I will say though is if you're going to charge me extra ($1.25) for guacamole on my burrito I want to get my $1.25s worth. Why can't I choose zero stars? Went here for the first time a few weeks ago & was disgusted by the mess in the prep area. I should have left then. No designated spoons/tongs for any given item. Pork was tough, tacos were next to flavourless. Staff was not handling the chaos well. Extremely expensive for such a lack of quality. I sat trying to eat my meal, a HUGE line up formed. Ordered the chicken burrito (regular size) with rice, black beans, guac, sour cream. This thing was HUGE when it arrived - seriously it took me 3 days to eat it, it was so filling. I would have written this bad review after our 1st visit to this pathetic excuse of an establishment, but as I often do, I give too many 2nd chances, and 3rd, and 4th....... I won't bother going back in time to explain my first bad experience here...all I will say is that while trying to figure out the ordering process, as it was my first time there, the employee gave me obvious rude looks, shaking her head and even rolled her eyes at me...I was so upset by this rude slob that I wrote the management and they apologized. Thus the 2nd chance was granted... Since then, I have been to this place about 5 times, mostly at my wife's request as a last resort, quick food grab for dinner. All but one of those times, we had issues with the food. Either the salad had barely any lettuce, or the guacamole had a harsh bitter taste, or tonight's problem - my wife's corn tortilla shrimp tacos disintegrating and falling apart from the moisture of the filling. Mind you, we ate in the restaurant, so there was very little time that elapsed from making the taco, to sitting and attempting to eat. I sadly watched as her tacos fell completely apart and melted into a mess that she then attempted to eat with a fork. She went up and showed the workers the problem, and they made her another one. Not at all trying to remedy the problem, but just made another exact shrimp taco. She sat back down and the new taco fell apart. She went back up, again showing the worker the soggy mess pile, and the worker blankly stared at her and asked if my wife wants new tacos. My wife told her, not if they would just fall apart again...the worker offered to try making the tacos in flour tortillas but would have to ask a manager if that was ok. The worker came back and started making the tacos but was using the now cold shrimp from the original cold soggy taco mess. Simple math would show that this would result in only 2 shrimp for each taco...telling my wife that she already ate a few shrimp. I couldn't believe this! They were counting 3 missing shrimp that my wife had to eat with a fork, waste our time, and debate us, all due to their faulty product! The worker told her sorry, they can't add more shrimp. Well that was the last straw, and we will NEVER be going back to this place. We laughed at how ridiculous this situation was compared to the MANY amazing experiences we have had at Chipotle in Arizona. They always took care of us, even remembering our faces and giving us complimentary sides, etc. If a problem ever happened at Chipotle (which it did not), they would most likely comp our meal and offer a discount for a future visit! Mucho Rip-Off can learn a lot by studying the Chipotle business model, or any other successful restaurant's business model for that matter. The food here is WAYYYY over priced for what you get. $24 for 3 small tacos and a burrito is ludicrous. I admit the burritos are filling but they are packed with rice, of course they will fill you up. I am the type of diner that is willing to pay more for great food and service, but this place gives neither, with great consistency. Blank stares! blank stares! blank stares!...that should be this place's mantra. I take my family weekly to this Mucho Burrito for our crazy nights. During the week kids eat free mon-thurs and that is a huge deal for us as it keeps the costs down. I recommend pretty much everything on the menu, but the pulled pork is awesome in a wrap! Nacho's are great also! All the food is fresh, the staff is great, and the meals are served fast! This location needs to understand what good food is all about. We ordered the Suiza Quesadilla (Double Cheese) and received a soggy cheese less mess. I took it back and asked how does this look anything like the picture on the menu? His reply was only that it's a picture and not food. He reluctantly made a new one that was marginally better ( a little more cheese). The food had no flavour and was totally uninspired. Had the medium sized chorizo burrito with medium heat salsa and jalapeños to take out. Pretty slow service but a descent burrito, wasn't very spicy so would go with hot salsa next time. I wouldn't put it in the same league as chipotle but a strong 3/5 - 3.5/5 rating. May or may not go back, worth a shot though if you've been thinking of going. read more

We used to go here all the time when it first opened up. It was great the staff was friendly and the mucho burrito was actually mucho. Over time it has gotten worse and worse usually when the girls are behind the counter. Their stingy on everything my burrito was tiny today. The quality of the food has dropped. I myself have experienced the cold meat in my burrito as well. They also don't listen they ask a question eg: if you want burrito sauce... Before you can answer yes or no they have already put it on. The staff have really lowered this place. Not sure where it stems from, management..?? Etc.. But we will no longer be going there. read more

Look I hate to dump on a business as I own one. This place must be new owners. I am not sure but has this place ever went down hill. if they do not get someone in from the head office or corporate office I think they will be done in a year if the health board doesn't get there first. Been there twice in the last week. first time the place was a complete mess I don't know where to begin. trash over flowing food all over the floor under the cooker. gloves all over the floor. I though ohh it must be a one off. missing staff or just super busy. food was average. just went there today with my daughter. got up to order turned around and walked out. the guy was throwing the food that had dropped out if the serving bins back into the warmers. not wiping it up or scraping it into the food trap but putting back into the warmer to serve to us. the floor was a huge mess food on the floor garbage on the floor. it stared to make me think if this is what the front looks like where the customers can see what the hell does the back look like or the freezer where the food is kept. sorry for the long winded review but don't waste your money it's not that cheap and the franchise or head office should be aware. read more

Not having been to many other "Mexican" fast food restaurants (like Chipotle, Cronic Etc) My comparison is coming from Taco Del Mar - which I despise. Happy with all of my choices so far, can't have wheat, dairy or sugar so this place gives me a very good selection which appears to be on the healthy side. So far so good and I will keep going back until I have a bad experience like the multitude of people below. read more
