Lived in this area for 4 years and we've watched this establishment grow. Today we decided to try it out for lunch. I had the Philly Cheesesteak steak sandwich with sweet potato fries and it was amazing. My partner also had a Bum Burger and fries (sorry no picture, he was hungry lol) which I'm told was also very tasty. Our server Kelsey made sure we were happy with our food and our drinks stayed full. Mud Bums is very upbeat, clean and spacious. Love the outdoor seating area and we have passed by when they have live music and it sounds great! Can't wait to come back during the live music times to enjoy another great meal. If you get a chance, you should try the food for yourself. You won't be disappointed. We had the TKO wings. The servers were nice and attentive. On the other hand the bathrooms were nuts! We had stopped in for a beer and wings after a long drive and we checked into our hotel. Went in to pick up a door dash order and the girls behind the counter were very rude. The first one cut me off as soon as I started to speak by rudely saying," it's not ready yet." I sat down at the bar to wait and when the order was finished a different employee brought it out and said, "here!" I said thank you and received no response. Ate here because a friend wanted to. It had a minimum of 20 flies in the dining room. I was so completely disgusted the whole time thinking about how the kitchen would look. I do not know how health inspectors have not shut them down. The bathrooms were disgusting as well (both womens and mens). My friend got the buffalo chicken pizza. The "chicken" looked like beef and did not taste like buffalo sauce, she did not eat a single slice. The spinach dip pizza was ok, at best. The crust tastes like cardboard. Motorcycling through middle Tennessee, we knew that McMinville was going to be an early dinner stop. Because of Yelp, Mud Bums was rated 2nd in town with the highest rating. Only a Mexican restaurant had beaten them, but we'd had our fill of Mexican, so we decided to give this a try. Scouting out the location, it is biker friendly. It's a free standing building in a parking lot, so there's plenty of parking. Outside the building are a few tables on the patio (smoker friendly). Inside seating was non smoking! Inside had multiple televisions playing sports. If you're a drinker, drafts and bottled beer was sold. There was no sign of mixed drinks or wine. The menu had a nice variety of selections. Service was good. But the food was okay. A little disappointing were the baked oysters with jalapenos and pepperjack (processed slices). Parmesan was the original choice, but they'd run out. Daily food specials are listed on the table tent. The restaurant was tidy. The server was friendly and gave helpful suggestions. We'd go again and give it another try. read more

Just before we left, I asked a male, who was changing the tv channels, if he was a manager. He said that he was, so I told him about our situation and to cancel our order. He said that he would take care of our meal and put the food in take-out boxes. I declined. By the way, the napkin dispensers and sauce bottles on our table had not been cleaned in a while. We noticed that the servers did not have their hair tied back, leading to one female carrying 3-4 drinks w her hair in (or almost in) a couple of the drinks. So I ordered fish tacos and the fish was decent, but it was more like a fish wrap with lettuce, tomatoes, and cheese which was not at all what I was expecting. I ate the fish only. They offer kids meals but have nothing but soda or water for the kids to drink. Have no kids cups (cups with lids). Their "craft beer" they offer is laughable. The servers need to be more attentive to every member of the party. Not just one person. The last time we went everybody was low on (or completely out of) drink EXCEPT my husband. Don't get me wrong, Mud Bums is a great restaurant with a family friendly environment that might have the best wings in McMinnville. The beer is always cold, and the servers are typically attentive. YET, every time I go it seems my bill is $10-15 higer than it should be; when bringing this up to management they never make a correction or try to figure out what's going on. It's basically like they make up on their own pricing scale depending on who you are. I recommend the food, get the wings as hot as possible; but I'd get your food to go and make sure you have a menu next to you because this place has gotten numerous of my friends and myself due to their overpricing or changing menu prices. read more
