And the batiks....sooooooo gorgeous and so many choices!! Finally and probably most importantly: the owner (I assume she was the owner) was so kind. I commented on my challenge in matching up fabrics and we chatted for about 10 minutes--she shared some great ideas!! I will definitely be back.

There are permanent residents, some of whom may have helped build their home or studio, as well as interns in the "village". The Master Artists may have apprentices working with them year round, and applications are needed to be considered for an apprenticeship. They will have some interns around as well, which are for less than a year. They have potters, woodworkers, clothing design, weavings and more here. They also take "the show n the road" and do some nice craft fairs around the area, often around the Holidays.
