On Wednesday,…read more11/19/25 at 1:40pm, My friend went to put up an ad on board up against the wall near the back of the laundromat where people put up ads for renting a room. My friend put up an ad for a room that he rents. The 2 female employees saw his number on the ad; they called him from the Speedy laundromat phone number and harassed him and told him to never put an ad on the board. They yelled and threatened to put any ad of his in the trash can. They only want to keep the ads that belong to their friends on the board. Those 2 female employees, instead of working are always on their cellphones. They are both rude, mean and very demanding, all they do is look at their cellphones. This laundromat needs to hire people who have a little bit of common sense and honesty. Instead of hiring employees that are horrible and disrespectful. My friend blocked the Speedy Laundromat phone number on his phone to stop the 2 female employees from calling him and harassing him again. Mis amigos y mi familia han estado lavando su ropa en Speedys durante muchos años. El miércoles 19/11/25 a la 1:40 p.m., mi amigo fue a colocar un anuncio en el tablón contra la pared cerca de la parte trasera de la lavandería, donde la gente pone anuncios para alquilar una habitación. Mi amigo puso un anuncio de una habitación que él alquila. Las 2 empleadas vieron su número en el anuncio; lo llamaron desde el número de la lavandería Speedy, lo acosaron y le dijeron que nunca pusiera un anuncio en el tablón. Gritaron y amenazaron con echar cualquier anuncio de él a la basura. Ellas solo quieren mantener en el tablón los anuncios que pertenecen a sus amigas. Esas 2 empleadas, en lugar de trabajar, siempre están en sus teléfonos celulares. Ambas son groseras, malas y muy exigentes, todo lo que hacen es mirar sus celulares. Esta lavandería necesita contratar personas que tengan un poco de sentido común y honestidad, en lugar de contratar empleados que son horribles e irrespetuosos. One has a Spanish channel, one currently is set to the SyFy Channel. Volume levels are excellent! Couldn't be better. *Washing machines and dryers appear well maintained. Very easy to figure out and use. Very speedy. *Detergent can be purchased, though I'm not sure of the prices. Considering the value of this place thus far, I'd be very surprised if the price were even moderately unreasonable. *Vending machines on site - well maintained. *Folding tables (x4) at the front of the store. One has almost been constantly used by employees to fold laundry for customers. The other three have remained open for at least the past 2 hours. *Standard metal laundry push-carts on site. So in the meantime I looked up a Laundromat near me in Gaithersburg that had good reviews. Well this spot is all the hype it has gotten. Wendy showed me around and explained how each machine worked, how long the cycles were, and how to pay with the card system they have. The cards are very similar to a metro card where you can refill the money every time you need to. They have small, medium and large machines that can accommodate even the largest quilt or comforter. The dryers are all huge and hold all of your items in one machine. This facility is very clean, even the bathrooms! I give this business 7 stars and recommend anyone who needs to get their laundry done to come here.

Example - while washing, someone outside chose to sit on the hood of my car. -The owner (very friendly once there!) exchanged my dollars for quarters - helpful because other laundromats wouldn't do this for me. -Variety of regular and extra large industrial size machines. The large machines were big enough for my futon cover and would work for a large comforter. Once you get over the neighborhood, the laundromat is clean inside and does the trick. Tell the owner the girl from Arizona sent you! Highly recommend!

What the place lacks in finesse, they make up for it with customers service.

One of the women kindly helped me through each step of getting a laundry card, selecting the right sized machines, and using the machines. Even on a weekend, I was able to use a small and medium machine next to each other, and the loads only took about 30 minutes each. I will definitely be back if my own washing machine is not able to handle the laundry I need done!

They were super busy and ended up staying open an extra hour or so, which made me feel so much better about walking in last minute! I had two dresses dry cleaned and one dress tailored. The owner was super helpful and knowledgeable about what I needed done. She quoted me pick up time for within 3-4 days. The prices are on the higher end. Alterations were around $45. Drycleaning was around $30 for two dresses. Owner did excellent work. And it was done quickly. Worth it.
