We required some assistance with getting all of our tickets from the attendant which was super helpful. The ride was smooth and the station was clean. I did have some challenges with getting out of the parking lot after returning to car. It is a bit confusing on how to get out due to poor signage in my opinion but ultimately figuring it out. All in All it is very easy to get into DC on the train however, after events it can be super crowded. I would recommend added a Tap option for an easy way to pay to get on the train. Will definitely be riding again

This is my go-to Metro station as it is the closest to me. The metro is always so clean and I find it usually runs on time. There is usually only one station attendant here, and there is a bathroom but they need to unlock it for you. The station also connects to Marc on the lower level. It currently only runs Green line, but is set to alternate green and yellow in December 2025. I wish they'd expand the green line farther north to Laurel, Jessup, or Dorsey station.

The restrooms at this location are always closed. I use the MARC service quite frequently and, in all my visits, I have never once seen the station restroom open. When I recently asked an Amtrak employee where I could find a working restroom, she simply stared at the "Out of Service" sign and then looked back at me as if I couldn't read it. She replied, "It's out of service," completely ignoring the actual question I asked. When I clarified that I was asking where I could find an available restroom, her attitude was dismissive and unnecessary. Customers should not have to struggle or be treated poorly for asking about basic amenities. Her only suggestion was that I wait 40 minutes for my train and use the restroom onboard -- which is completely unreasonable. This level of customer service is unacceptable, especially at a major transportation hub. Something as simple as using a restroom should not be this difficult, and staff should be trained to assist customers respectfully.

Cons: the main parking lot is usually full by 7:30am, but there is an overflow lot a very short walk away. Hint: buy your ticket from the kiosk. The conductors often charge a $3 surcharge if you buy onboard.

I had to walk the "walkway bridge" to get to the station. The elevator was out of service. There was only 1 escalator that went up. So, if you are disabled, you can't get down into the station from the walkway. This place needs a SERIOUS OVERHAUL. Demolish it and start over!! Just like with all of the new build that surrounds this place, and hides how absolute disgusting it is! Seats to wait at, are old. Floors are dirty. Bathroom was ATROCIOUS! Hand dryers are made for little kids, and you will have to bend down low just to use. There was no soap to even use. Only 1 bathroom sink worked. There was about 1 foot left on the toilet paper roll on the stall that I used. Amtrak signs to signify departures/arrival information is up so high, that you can't even see the board fully if you're in the waiting area Also non of the "automated doors" worked. NONE. Cant imagine what this is like for those disabled, in wheelchairs etc. There is still a little cafe inside, and vending machines. Keep in mind that there are two parking lots for this station, on the Northbound and Southbound sides of the tracks. Both are fairly small, but if you get there early enough you will be fine. I have noticed that more people park on the street on the north bound side...,my assumption is because it is in a residential area. Things to note: there is no place to buy tickets here, so go somewhere else. My ticket was checked as I was walking on the train. I'm not used to this. In departing the train from DC you must do it from the last three cars. Also, this train seems to run a wee bit late in the mornings....so adjust. Have at it!

The interior could use a tad bit of "modernization" however. The seating is a tad bit outdated and some chairs are broken. The bathrooms could use more ventilation. During the summer time. They definitely utilize the AC to the MAX which is a major plus. During the summer time the place is virtually an ice box. , During the winter time. Heat is definitely utilized. They have power outlets. Charged my e-bike a few times here while waiting for the train. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. One thing you'll notice is when the Acela passes by at high speeds. The station almost feels like the "I Love Lucy" episode where the bunk beds are sliding across the room when the train passes by in that episode. Lol. ,No chairs move or anything but you can definitely feel the vibration somewhat when the Acela is passing. The staff here is amazing. Very very social and professional. Always smiling and happy. Very relaxed and calm staff. Greetings coming and going which is a major plus. The overall cleanliness is amazing. No trash cans overflowing nor empty toilet paper rolls in the bathroom. Soap dispensers are loaded with soap and the sinks have somewhat good water pressure. The overall environment is very relaxed and very calm. The general crowd is very highly disciplined. Mainly adults. Some kids. All very highly disciplined. There's an attached parking lot on both sides of the station as well as bike racks with surveillance. During the night time, The station is very well lit to deter crime which is another plus. Overall A++++++, The best part of the Odenton station is the staff.
