Sure enough, we just walked right in and got a seat right by the beach. The prices here are inflated but expected given its location. I tried a salad and their berry smoothie. The salad was surprisingly good but the smoothie was very watered down. I would not get it again. Also there is free parking which is SO hard to find in this area. This alone is why I would recommend this beach club to anyone visiting Tulum, but not staying in the hotel zone. Green salad 9/10 Berry smoothie 6/10

Near the bathrooms, you might get offered drugs. For drinks, I kept it simple with a cold, crisp Victoria beer which was perfect for the heat. This was by far one of the most delicious meals I've experienced in a long time…read more This restaurant was directly across from our resort and we decided to try it for our last meal in Tulum and we definitely saved the best for last. We did make a reservation, although the space was surprisingly empty at 7pm. We do know we came as the season is winding down, but for how good this food is, this place should always be packed. Our waitress was delightful - attentive, helped to explain every dish and the dishes all came out quickly but nothing felt rushed. The vibe is very jungle chic with open air seating, slightly covered by large leaf structures. Lots of candles and mood lighting. The menu offered quite the diverse selection of food options with a focus on traditional but elevated Mexican flavors. We started with some signature cocktails - my husband the mustachio whiskey drink and I had the wildfire. Both were perfectly mixed with great flavors. I will note the wildfire was more tart than spiced and did come with a fun flame element (sadly no pic). Also of note, the passionfruit that is used in this drink is a local fruit that is far more tart than other passionfruit you may have experienced. If you like a tart refreshing drink, this is your pick. We shared many dishes - the first was the pork rind with street corn dip. WOW. The pork rind seasoning was absolutely delicious and the serving size of street corn was epic. So rich, so delicious. We also shared the fried avocado - truly, the local avocados are heaven sent and the pumpkin seed purée was perfectly developed and spiced. Next up, larger dishes included the corn ravioli - this was so rich, and swimming in delicious truffle flavor. The raviolis were huge and there were 6 of them. The foam and nest elements while very pretty were also equally delicious. Not something that I often say when it comes to foam on plates. Finally, we had the shrimp main - I cannot put into words how amazing this dish was. The sauce was spicy, garlicky, and clearly developed over many hours. You could taste the time put into this. The shrimp were so tender the heads and tails just fell off. It comes with a side of bread and you will want to soak up every drop of this sauce with the toasted bread. If you are looking for elevated local flavors that have been carefully and meticulously curated then you must have a meal at WILD.

There's someone doing face jewels as soon as you walk in, not sure how much it was but it looked super pretty. There's a system to get drinks where you reload your wristband with money and they scan it every time you order a drink to deduct each transaction. The only bad thing is that whatever you have left on the bracelet goes to waste because you can't get your money back. Each drink was kinda pricey, between $30-$40. I would suggest pre-gaming before coming or buying a table. The music was good, it was a lot of tiki tiki. There is a beach view from the dance floor. Everyone was very nice, the staff were extremely busy but attended each customer in a timely manner. I ordered an espresso martini, the presentation was great but the taste wasn't as balanced as I preferred. It taste more like tequila rather than coffee. I then switched back to vodka/sodas. I highly recommend you check this spot out for a night of dancing and fun!

There is no cover for hotel guests. They had live music, artists doing body paint, dancers... If you're staying in Tulum and your hotel or airbnb tragically doesn't have a pool or beach access, consider reservations at Papaya Playa Beach Bar. You can also buy tickets from their website.

We came to Beso with high hopes.... absolutely beautiful ambiance and the menu looked divine. My husband and parents and I went on a Tuesday night so it was very slow... we were one of two parties in the whole joint. The food was good! Not our favorite but definitely authentic and good. We all ordered drinks, an appetizer and main courses and dessert. When we first sat, they brought table bread that we didn't request but ate because, duh, so when it was gone they replenished it with a second basket as most restaurants do. We didn't even think that this could be anything but complimentary. After eating, we moved outside to the lounge area and the server brought over 4 unsolicited shots of brandy with cinnamon. I'm pregnant so thanked them for their generosity but sent it back. We figured since it was so slow the staff was bored and wanted to have some fun and send some drinks/get a bigger tip. My husband and I went home before my parents so weren't able to look over the bill. The next day we were told the tab was over $500 USD! I thought that sounded insane, it was good but not $500 USD good. They showed us the receipt and they charged for EVERYTHING that we didn't even ask for! The complimentary table bread, INCLUDING the refill, charged. The complimentary brandy shots that we never asked for or alluded to wanting, including the fourth that was sent back!!!!, charged!! It needs to be reiterated we never asked for any of these things and nowhere on the menu does it say anything about bread the cost of it. We went and looked at the menu the next morning because the entree prices looked more expensive on the receipt and sure enough, they had inflated the food prices as well. We would've really enjoyed this place but feel so taken advantage of. Yes: my parents could've said something but they don't know a lick of Spanish so how would they have argued a bill? They took advantage of a group of tourists they know they could pull one over on and it worked. I would've given 4 stars probably but this is unacceptable behavior in any restaurant in any part of the world.

It's not on the beach but it is gorgeous inside. The live music was great. The place settings were perfect. However we came on thanksgiving and it was completely empty. It's such a big space that it felt weird to be the only ones there especially with so many staff hanging around. This brings me to my next rating... 2. Staff: 5 Stars. If I could rate a restaurant on our waiter alone it would have 5 stars. I think his name was Daniel and he was perfect. He spoke great English and was very attentive. He also tried to steer us with honest advice about what to order. I only wish we'd listened to him. Great man! 3. Food: 1.5/5 Ugh. I'll start at the beginning. We order the mussels first. They were cooked well but lacked flavor and had barely any broth. They needed salt, bread and basically a makeover. Very underwhelming. 2.5/5. Next we had the belly taco which Daniel warned us not to get. TAKE THIS OFF THE MENU. We thought it would be pork belly, but it was rock hard fried pork intestines that tasted like burned moon rock. My bf spit it out. Gross! 0 Stars. Last we had fried avocado. It was good and the only thing resembling real food... but it's also a fried avocado so if you mess that up you honestly are just an idiot. 3 Stars. Total that comes to 3.5 stars, but since this was our special thanksgiving dinner and we ended up having to go to another restaurant just to have an edible dinner, I rounded down. Hope you guys can figure your stuff out as this place could be amazing.

Their system was down and none of my cards went through for payment according to the staff. My waitress asked if I could to please tip her in cash because tips on CC are split amongst other waiters and (shockingly) management. After trying different cards several times I had the displeasure of being escorted to a reception area across the street where I met a vicious manager named Gabriela. They ran our cards several more times and held us there for altogether about 45 minutes. Gabriela was very rude during the entire interaction and even threatened the waiter that was present that if he allowed us to leave the bill would be on him. I checked my banking apps and saw the charge pending EIGHT times, and showed this to Gabriella but she said that the charges are not going through because if they had she would have gotten an email. I told her she hasn't gotten anything because clearly her system was down, their whole WiFi was not working. When I asked for a supervisor she said she was the only supervisor there. I left my name, email and hotel I was at but told them I was leaving. I had been treated the entire time as if I was a thief trying to skip out on the bill despite offering several cards for payment. Needless to say I do not recommend this overpriced restaurant or the hotel considering you'll be dealing with a manager with an utter lack of customer service skills and staff that are certainly being taken advantage of.
