After they were done, we had a small issue with drainage (because right after they laid down the patio, there were torrential downpours for days, not allowing our pavers to settle). I'm not kidding when I say within five minutes of emailing Dan on a Friday evening to let him know, he called us to say he and Seth were coming over right away to take a look. Because of continued bad weather, they had to come back a few times over the next few weeks to make sure everything was good. Yes, they made our patio a little slice of heaven, but we were actually the most impressed with their post-project attentiveness and customer-focused desire to make everything right. They were highly rated and the pictures were beautiful, however the conversation with those landscapers were so dull. Then Ami arrived! When I asked him for advice and delivered ideas, I was greeted with optimism and great imagination! Ami is quite artful (even in his personality and words) and knowledgeable about his craft. Very fun and comforting to work with. I made a huge mistake by adding about 480 cubic feet of dirt along the bordering gate in my backyard - naively hoping to build an XXXL raised garden bed. Ami was the only professional who disagreed. All the dirt was removed from the gate the next day! He indeed saved me from damaging my gate and losing tons of money in months to come. His insight is trustworthy. Regarding execution, the work was done incredibly fast and well. Ami's crew is friendly, considerate and even thoughtful about some parts of my yard that wasn't even discussed. Very proactive and kind. He checked the soil and health of the land, and I could feel the passion he had for his work. Instructions were emailed for everything I needed to do to maintain and allow the bushes to flourish. I am not great at follow up and Boris checked in with instructions, and even follow up visits to observe the growth and health of the fruit bushes. I had some deer invaders that destroyed a few bushes, but Boris built a protective fence and even replaced the bushes at cost that did not survive. We live in…read moreCenter City so we didn't have much room to work with, but Brendan helped us come up with a design that maximized the space. He sent us draft proposals and modified them based on our input. He and his team were very thorough, asking us to send photos of the space at different times of day so they could choose the appropriate plants for that space. To make full use of the space we chose to move the stairs so Brendan connected us with a terrific carpenter (Zach Hedgepeth) who did a great job and coordinated with Brendan to make sure the timing worked out. Once that was done he had his stone mason pull up the ugly brick floor and replace it with beautiful bluestone hardscape. Then his team came in to install the planters and the plants. The whole time they communicated well, keeping us updated on their work and staying in touch with the subs so they knew what was happening. Even now that the patio is done, Brendan has been responsive to my questions in email and offered to replace some plants that didn't survive the winter. We absolutely love sitting out in our beautiful patio surrounded by lush greenery and seeing how the different plants flower at different times. Brendan and his team were a delight to work with and I highly recommend them.
