We eat here every time we're in Cedar Falls so I don't know why I've not reviewed it before. It's a family favorite and we can always get quick seating even with groups of seven. I tried a burger this time but will go back to ordering the community pizza(s) next time. Beer selection is great! Lots of locals. It's also on the bike trail so it's a great stopover when the weather is warm!

Great local pub! You get a lot of food for reasonable prices. I love the bar/dining room atmosphere and they also have a great patio during the summer. Plus, the ranch is amazing!

I recently ate at Mulligan's for the first time, which is crazy considering I am a UNI graduate. However, I never actually made it there while I was a student. My sister is now a server there, so I thought I better give it a shot while I'm in the area and I'm glad I did. Mulligan's has different seating options, from the dining room, to the bar, to the outdoor patio. If it is nice out, I recommend the patio. It faces the Cedar Prairie Trail and Dry Run Creek, which gives you a little bit of a view. They have a large menu, complete with a large selection of beer, including options from local breweries. Their menu (which you can view online) offers a little bit of everything that would please even the pickiest eater, however their brick oven pizzas are to die for. They have everything from your typical Margherita and Supreme to rule breakers like Mac n' Cheese, Shrimp Rangoon, and Thai Chicken. If none of that sounds delicious enough, you also have the option to build your own. I had the the Philadelphia and I think it has stolen a pizza my heart (...was that too cheesy?). While there, ask for Rylee to be your server and put her to work. She's an okay sister, but a fantastic server. It's also fun knowing that people are making her wait on them hand and foot. http://www.mulligansbrickoven.com

My number 1 joint in CF. Creative pizza, calzones and oven baked sandwiches. I recommend the Big Tone

Service wasn't very good food was lack luster. If you're in the mood for a brick oven pizza got Smokin Oak instead

They have good pizza, great chicken tenders, wings and cheese frys. Also enjoy their twist on pizza egg rolls.

Not really sure how to feel about The Other Place. On one hand, there's really nothing wrong with…read moreit, but on the other hand, there were some minor things that made me rethink wanting to come back here regularly. Very sports-bar like atmosphere, but it was relatively quiet when we came here. I don't think I'd want to come during a game. Service was okay. I don't really remember any bad service, but I don't really remember any exceptional service. It was about on-par with what I'd expect; drinks were refilled quickly, the order was taken well, everything was accurate. Etc. Food itself was pretty good. Both myself and my partner enjoyed what we ordered. Both of us were impressed by the portion sizes too. The cost wasn't too high, and neither of us could finish what we had ordered. I really liked my Fettuccine Alfredo, but it also was literally drowned in oil and butter. When I was half-way through my dish, there was a visible "pond" of oil and butter at the bottom of the plate. It was a bit disgusting to look at, but the food did taste really, really good. I can't imagine how unhealthy it was, though - which means we probably won't come back too often. As a slight complaint, they serve their drinks in a plastic, branded cups. For some reason, the "plastic" aspect of it really bothers me. They are very clean, but they feel like "cheap" cups. I wasn't impressed by the glassware. Price ended up being pretty good. About on-par with these casual dine-in restaurants. About $30 for the two of us to go out to eat.

I ordered a cup of chili and a Cod nugget basket. The food was good and so was the service. When I…read morereceived my bill both items were listed at a higher price than the menu listed them at. It's not about the .75 difference but the fact that both items were higher on the bill. It's the principle of a business raising their prices and not reflecting that change on the menu. Most people would have just paid without looking.
