Everything from the front desk, to the aides that help get you started with warm up's, to the therapists were amazing. The depth of knowledge my therapist had was impressive. She fully explained all the home exercises I needed to do. When my therapist was on vacation she made sure I would be with someone that understood what I needed. Since their documentation is all electronic, the substitute was easily able to see exactly what I had been doing and what new things to add to my routine. Would never go anywhere else!

The second time around I was again referred to "the best we have" which was Dr Magit. Dr Magit would not listen to me, the patient, when I was trying to explain to him where my upper arm pain was. He was very dismissive of my complaint and told me that I had lower arm pain caused by a common condition (tennis elbow) and that what I was feeling was deflected pain. I felt utterly dismissed and ripped off. I explained my frustration and again he was very, very dismissive. I decided to never, ever go back to him again and to tell others of my doubly poor experience. Within a few days of this fiasco, I went to another orthopedist office affiliated with Mass General Hospital. He who looked at the MRI from UMASS, and said "It is quite obvious to me that you have a tricep tear and tendonosis that is causing all your upper arm pain." He was very attentive to my concerns and also demonstrated exactly where the pain lies. I finally had an answer and a path to recovery after two years of constant pain. Do yourself a favor and go to an expert.

Very busy office and I did have to wait quite a while in the waiting room, but it is because Dr. Magit takes his time and does not rush through your visit. To their credit they have a sign in the waiting room why there may be a delay before you are seen. I have seen MD's that rush through each appointment and still run behind. I would much prefer to wait a bit to be seen knowing my care will be thorough.

This was my first PT experience and I was told that I was going to have a $40 co-pay per visit, which I figured would be like my PCP where no deductible was at play. Even on the intake form, I initialed that I only had a $40 co-pay per visit. I ended up visiting 5 times and every time they took a $40 co-pay. More than two months later, I unexpectedly get a bill for $400! I called the billing office and they confirmed that I was given incorrect information about my benefits by the office staff, and that my deductible did apply in this case. Had I known that and had knowledge about how much each visit was going to cost me, I likely would have not scheduled additional visits and continued my rehab at home. Even though the billing office confirmed that bad information was given to me, they were unwilling to make it right. They are leaning on their disclaimer form, which makes them harmless for any mistakes made on their end. It's too bad patients don't have that type of protection. I have a pretty standard BCBS plan from what I understand. After the first visit was billed and paid, the practice should have notified me that my benefits were not as they were presented so that I could make an informed decision about future visits. Instead, they continued to only collect a co-pay and not notify me of the applicable deductible. I'm going to pay the bill but I wanted to post today to warn other patients to check your own insurance coverage prior to going to this practice. Additionally, I suggest that you inquire what the service fees and contracted rates are for your insurance coverage so that you can understand what potential patient responsibility you might have in the case that that they make another error in reading your benefits. Despite the good care, I will not be returning to this practice due to their unwillingness to right a mistake. I was willing to split the difference with them and pay $200, but they declined. Very disappointing.

He explained everything, gave me helpful hints about getting the most from the insert, and even gave me some stretching techniques that have been very beneficial. They are only open certain hours, but if Tom is there you are in good hands.
