My flight got in super late & as I attempted to walk (briskly) through the airport, it immediately dawned on me that I'd messed around & developed tendinitis. Looorddd. By the time my Uber arrived at the hotel, I'd booked an early morning appointment & completed the paperwork. It was a quick & easy process. There were so many slots available, & they also accept walk-ins. Although I arrived a few minutes early the next day (they recommend 10), I did have to wait in a short line to check in. My appointment was set for 8 & I was pulled back at 8:22 a.m. I think one of the receptionists was in training. She did a wonderful job; she just seemed to be still getting familiar with the system. The receptionist, provider & other staff were all very efficient & friendly. I felt like I was in good hands. They listened intently, I got what I needed, & was on my way back to the hotel by 9 a.m. The exam room was frigid, so I recommend bringing a sweater with you. There's complementary orange juice, apple juice, bottled water & tea available in the lobby. There's also plenty of seating & outlets. Will also not automatically issue a refund once your claim is processed. I don't even understand how they know what to charge you before any medical provider has seen you or you've mentioned what is wrong. They are blatantly trying to take advantage of people at their lowest. Super scummy practice in my honest opinion. *THIS PLACE DESERVES 0 STARS. (specific to the location on 45th St). I went in today with excruciating pain on the side of my face and half my face and lips going numb and tingly. The pain was so bad I couldn't think straight, a pain so severe I had never experienced before and was shaking from it. Their main concern was payment, they wouldn't acknowledge my pain or anything until they got their payment. I gave them my credit card, which I needed to activate as it was new, and couldn't concentrate enough to do so because of the pain. I literally was shaking and tears coming down my face from the pain, calling and accidentally dialing the wrong numbers because the pain was making my vision blurry and hands shaky, and they just kept asking me to activate it, that they needed their payment. Finally, got the credit card activated (they had to do it because my pain was so severe I couldn't function), they charged me, took me into a room -so I could sit there and cry and rock back and forth from the horrific pain for about 10 minutes. A doctor finally walks in, sits down, and tells me there is nothing they can do! They thought it was nerve pain and it should resolve itself. I asked for my money back and they fought me on it, just unbelievable. They wanted to make sure and charge me their $250 before they would tell me there was nothing they could do. Greedy corporation, not concerned at all with patient care, just their bottom dollar. Nope--I don't recommend this urgent care facility. I found out later in the day that it was Trigeminal neuralgia pain from a prior dental injection that morning, and that there is a nerve block that could be used to alleviate that type of "electric shock" pain, which blocks the pain signals to the brain. But I guess they preferred the easy route of charging me $250 and telling me there was nothing they could, that I should just take some Advil, just unbelievable. And they REFUSE to give me my money back! What a horrible experience at a time I really needed help with an Urgent medical need. They spent more time concerned with obtaining their payment than they did addressing my urgent medical needs, they don't care about people, just about their money. They offer no process for even disputing their ridiculous and fraudulent charges, and no contact information for emailing them about this experience to dispute my charges, hmm, I wonder why. read more

This multi care sounded like they did not know what they were doing. My partner had a finger injury. Before assessing her, they checked her in and had her wait for an hour or so. Only to find out, that her injury needed x rays, which they claimed they did not have. Time goes on, someone tells her the X-ray is available now. Do you have an x ray or not? The provider mentioned to keep her coband and splint on for 6 weeks AND to NOT take it off. I am a healthcare provider. Why advise someone to use coband for more than 15 minutes knowing well that can cause loss of circulation? Please better critical thinking for your future patients. read more

What a great experience! Hurt my foot and didn't have a appointment but I got the last walk in appointment ( arrived at 1145 ) I only waited about 45 min as there were 5 people ahead of me. If I could give this Urgent care 0 stars I would. I waited over an hour and 30 minutes to only be told that it would be another 3 hours! They had a lot of "emergency cases" come in. I have a potential broken wrist that they don't care about. I then asked what made the emergent cases more important then my own and they had no answer. The receptionist was rude and condescending towards me. I had to drive home (with an injured arm) to wait the rest of the time. While I was waiting to be seen (only 5-10 minute wait) at least 6 people walked in who had just tested positive for COVID. They were coming in to do a secondary test. Person at front desk told everyone that came in with COVID they were not the appropriate place and had to go somewhere else for that test. Since I was already sick was not too happy to hear they all had COVID! They need to put a HUGE sign up on the door and in parking lot advising people they don't do these tests and not to enter the building. The facility itself was clean but very bare bones, both waiting room and office. They need to put up some artwork or something! I saw a physicians assistant who was very nice and he was thorough. Stay away from here!!!!! I should of turned around as soon as I walked in 10 minutes before my appointment (as instructed) and the the receptionist stated she was "going to wait closer to my appointment to check me in". HUH??? How does that make sense. Whatever though I decided to look past it. The visit with the provider was fine, however when they state "call us if you have any concerns" don't rely on them at all. As I was anxiously waiting for my lab results, I called them as soon as they were ready. I wanted a provider to advise the results. Instead, the same rude receptionist attempted to go over them with me. . . AGAIN HUH!? I CAN read, I didn't need her to just read them back to me. I could of done that myself. Once she was having troubles deciphering my results she put me on hold to ask the provider. All I was told was that a provider would "call me". *Spoiler alert* I never got a call. I attempted to speak with a provider again the next day. You guessed it, the same rude receptionist answers and curtly tells me that a "provider will call me". I then explained that I was experiencing a new symptom, she replied with "All the providers are busy" and to schedule a virtual visit. . . Very frustrating. So I decided to be patient and wait for a call, and of course no call. I finally decided that enough was enough and headed out to the ER. Turns out that I had shingles and the delay in treatment brings my risk for postherpetic neuralgia much higher!!! I'm very disappointed. Am I saying that they are solely responsible? My 2nd visit I cannot say the same sadly. The doctor said I needed to see a foot doctor but had zero referrals. The Rx for an active infection did not arrive @ the pharmacy. The hold time by phone was close to 30 min and I just kept being put on hold. Jen hung up on me as I attempted to come up with the best solution. Someone saying their name is Natalie was making statements that would be considered liable claiming the pharmacy is probably lying. It was a wild phone call. The nurse was great. Was going to do a walk in on December 31st for a minor eye injury, and ended up calling a couple times and talking to two different people. The first person said I can walk in but it might be a bit of a wait. The second person I talked to said they could put my name down as a "walk in appointment " and I'd be seen within an hour of arrival. That ended up working great, though once I was in the patient room, I ended up waiting like 45 min for the provider. During that time, it was hard to ignore that the walls are super thin--I could absolutely hear the conversation going on in the room next door... the visit with the provider was super short, I was out of there with a prescription in five minutes. Cut to a week later when my pharmacy lets me know they can't fulfill the prescription. So I call around 6-7 other pharmacies and get the same response. Turned out I was prescribed medication that is currently in a shortage. Maybe this particular provider didn't know--I really have no idea how al of that works. Had to go back to the clinic a week later to see if I could get a different prescription. This time, I made an appointment ahead of time, was seen pretty quickly and my eye injury had healed so I didn't need a prescription after all. Both providers I saw seemed knowledgeable. This definitely wasn't the worst urgent care experience I've had, but it certainly wasn't the best, all things included. read more

IMy father recently tested positive for Covid. He's an unvaccinated 62 year old male with lifelong history of smoking, which is considered a risk factor for Covid complications and severe Covid disease, and is a qualifier to receive early treatment (such as Paxlovid) per the CDC treatment guidance and the NIH Covid treatment guidelines. I urged my dad to seek treatment being a healthcare worker and having seen first-hand how many lives Covid took. He is a type of person who doesn't go to the doctor unless he HAS TO. He's too tough. But I convinced him after a lengthy conversation, told him some stories about patients like him I had seen die from Covid and he agreed. I was very surprised when he sent me his visit papers stating he did not qualify for treatment. I called the clinic to point out to provider that he has a history of lifelong smoking and per CDC it's a risk factor and a qualifier for treatment. Treatment is only beneficial during the first five days of symptom onset. THE RECEPTIONIST I talked to decided that I could not talk to the provider who saw my dad. I pointed out that I'm helping him, he has a moderate language barrier and treatment is very time sensitive. THE RECEPTIONIST denied access to the provider to discuss my dad's visit. Only to be told the clinic can't prescribe Covid treatment (Paxlovid) because smoking is not listed as a risk factor and treatment qualifier in THEIR protocol. I pointed out that THEIR protocol might be outdated. This incompetent provider referenced their outdated protocol, there's nothing they can do, etc etc. At that point I told my dad this is a dead end and he should go to a different system, like sacred heart hospital, where there are real doctors and real protocols. Being sick, weak and tired--the idea of going through the whole process really freaked him out, the hospital was at least 45min away, he was frustrated and exhausted and very sick and weak. He did not end up going. He said he'd rather die. His girlfriend suggested a clinic she heard about from her friend, they got a "prescription" there. Great! It doesn't matter where he gets it from I thought. Except it turned out that he ended up going to a quack Doctor, not knowing the difference between this "medicine" or another, was given the ineffective and often dangerous combo of PLAQUENIL, IVERMECTIN, AZITHROMYCIN and PREDNISONE. I was really concerned because these drugs are proven to be ineffective and very often harmful. So takeaway--THEIR RECEPTIONISTS make medical decisions about when it is or it is not necessary for you to talk to your treating doctors. THEY THINK BECAUSE THEY WORK AT A CLINIC, next to doctors and PAs, THEY GET TO PLAY DOCTOR. They denied my dad's access to a treating doctor even though that was part of his care and by law there is no limit on the amount of phone calls or questions you or your chosen person ask about your care. It is illegal for receptionists to deny patient access to a doctor because they believe your question is insignificant. This clinic and their staff are a risk to public health safety! Their incompetent provider PA didn't treat my dad according to the current guidelines. They gave us the run around for 4 days and their RECEPTIONISTS made possibility of treatment inaccessible. RECEPTIONISTS don't have any medical training and not allowed by law to make any medical decisions about your care. This experience made my lay person dad vulnerable to easily accessible, but very dangerous quack doctor treatment which sounded very attractive to him because of the terrible experience he was having. He has lost whatever faith he had left in the doctors and the medical system and will likely not seek medical care in the future. If Covid doesn't kill him, this overall traumatizing experience will keep him from getting medical care in the future. This is not a healthcare clinic. They simply don't CARE. They're only there to get paid. So go to this clinic if you want incompetent doctors, RECEPTIONISTS who love to play doctor, and to have a very traumatizing experience that might keep you from going to the doctor EVER AGAIN. After this experience, I am ashamed to say I am a "healthcare provider" I am especially embarrassed to say that to my dad. I've gotta say; I don't normally take the time to leave reviews (positive or negative) but my experience at the Rainier Beach Indigo Urgent Care was SO GOOD today. Admittedly, I was pretty anxious on the way there. Walk-ins are hit or miss from my experience, but my good friend highly recommended. And, I am glad I listened. We were greeted by a team of personable and kind folks at the front (everyone has their pronouns on their badges, which I appreciated) and arrived at a time where there was no wait. I was immediately put in a wheelchair (I hobbled in on crutches with a knee injury) and taken to a room. Every single doctor, nurse, technician, etc that I interacted with was efficient, professional, light-hearted and extremely helpful. I am uninsured and was grateful for their knowledge and suggestions as to my best course of action to treat my injury in the least expensive way. If you're uninsured, the fee is $175. Steep, but well worth it for everything that happened. I went home with x-rays (never had those in a walk-in before!) and a nice knee brace to protect my injury until I see the orthopedic specialist tomorrow. The entire experience was a nice surprise, especially with the extra pressure being put on our healthcare folks during COVID. I didn't have my insurance card and the gentleman working the front desk was very helpful and committed to finding my insurance provider in their system and was extremely patient with me for not being as prepared as I should have been (I didn't know I needed insurance for a covid test). The physicians assistant Jason was also very kind and informative about the testing and what to expect. Hopefully I don't ever need a covid test again, but for any other medical reasons requiring urgent care I would definitely come back here and recommend it. The provider said we could only discuss one issue (ie there were 8 symptoms and she only wanted to hear about 3 symptoms). I believe all the symptoms were related (all had to do with pain in the head and ear area. I have never heard that from a provider before. If the provider ignores half the symptoms, how does she know she has diagnosed correctly? She only allowed discussion of half the symptoms. read more

I had a PCR Covid test on December 25 at the Ballinger Road Shoreline Indigo Urgent Care. After checking for 3 days to see the results, I phoned the facility and was told that the results were available but no one had gotten around to posting them. This was very inconvenient for me and my family, because we did not know whether to continue to quarantine. The check in process is so quick, and you can even schedule an appointment online for as soon as 30 minutes. nurses are extremely friendly and offer you beverages while you wait for a few minutes. I've been here twice for unrelated reasons and both times have been taken care of by Dr. Lee, who is very comforting to talk to and asks a lot of questions to try to understand the situation. I needed to find an urgent care provider close to my home that took Apple Health, and Indigo fit the bill. I was able to easily schedule an appointment online right away. The location is right across the street from Dick's on 45th. The check-in process was simple -- I filled out some additional information into the tablet computer they gave me. There was no one else waiting and I saw an assistant, did a urine sample, saw a provider, got an Rx AND a free flu shot (why not?) all within 30 minutes. I appreciate that the clinic manager asked for my feedback at the end as well. The space is modern and not very clinic-like, and open 7 days a week. I'll definitely come here again if I have urgent needs and my PCP can't see me. read more

Wallingford Indigo review: I went to the Wallingford Indigo yesterday because the urgent care I usually go to had a hour wait. I walked into a gorgeous, spotless, empty waiting room and a super nice MA at the desk. I did all of my check-in "paperwork" on a Microsoft tablet (yay, saving paper!) and went back as soon as I was checked in. Did I mention there was free OJ, water, and coffee in the waiting room? I gave a urine sample and got vitals done immediately then the PA was in to see me right after that. Urine sample results came back while we were chatting and I was out the door with a Rx within 40 minutes! I seriously have nothing bad to say- and I'm a healthcare professional myself so I'm usually hypercritical of stuff like this. Would highly recommend!! They are definitely my new Urgent Care go-to. read more

It is unfortunate that I had encountered such a negative experience here. I had high hopes based off the google reviews however, I wish that I would have read through the Yelp reviews too and I probably would have thought twice before coming here. I have my doctor in CA that usually see but with everything happening I'm lessening the amount of travel as a precautionary measure. The front desk staff was friendly and I was promptly taken in. The medical assistant came in and we went through the regular rigmarole. He asked why I was being seen and I told him I had a sore throat. I told him as a precautionary measure I would like to get tested for CO-VID19. His demeanor changed which is understandable and I thought nothing of it. He left the room, I then hear him tell the front desk attendant that "I thought she was getting tested for strep and now she wants to get tested for CO-VID." Here's the thing if you want to vent, understandable but do it after the patient leaves or make sure you're not heard. It's already extremely uncomfortable for me to be there for that reason and in a facility and work with a staff that I don't know. Why do you think I fly back to CA to continuously to see my doctor?! Aside from them being so wonderful, it's also to avoid situations like this. My sister is a nurse and when I told her about my experience she was just as upset. He performed the test, left and I was seen by the doctor who was sweet, compassionate and made me feel at ease. She answered my questions and made the experience better. I was told that I would be getting the test results within 2 days and if I don't receive a call in the morning then to call them by noon. I called and whoever I spoke to was very short. I told her what I was informed and she said that my test was still in process. I asked if they would be receiving it later that day and she said she doesn't know, UW sends it to their inbox and IF they get to it they'll call us that day. What??! If you get to it? Where is the professionalism, compassion or empathy? Why are you even in this field? This experience has been such a nightmare and I hope that they are able to change to create a better and more comforting environment people. I'm rating it 2 stars because the doctor was wonderful. I usually go to this place because it's relatively close to where I live. Being a nurse, when I go to a doctor, it usually means something's pretty wrong. I know my body, my immune system, what works and what doesn't. I have asthma and it gets exacerbated from time to time whenever I get a viral infection (which happens 4-6 times a year, depending on my patient population at work). I've had subpar experiences here. I understand I am not a PA, NP, or MD.. I'm just a nurse, but I do have knowledge, and I know my body more than anyone else so I know what works for me and what doesn't. I was fevering, coughing so much I thought my rib was going to break, and the worst phlegm ever. I realized my at home treatments/OTC medications weren't working, so I knew it was time to see someone for Prednisone and cough medicine before I had any worse shortness of breath or worse, a "popped rib". I have a hard time working with PAs because as knowledgeable as they are, they're still not an MD and they tend to stay clear of certain medications in order to " look good on record" (I have plenty PA/NP friends who also say the same thing). I unfortunately don't want to come here again because I get the best care from MDs at an urgent care elsewhere. I feel like my recent visit, I was written off pretty fast. I knew I needed prednisone, cough medicine, and an IM injection of steroids to help clear this. When I told the PA about what works for me (once again, I know my body, this happens a couple times a year) she kind of didn't listen to me. It was really frustrating. The day after I saw her, I ended up in the ER because my coughing was out of control and was causing my blood pressure to rise and I actually fainted from coughing so much. It's just sad to see how certain PAs/NPs are very by the book because they're scared for their license, and I totally get that because I have to worry about my license, but this whole ER visit could have been avoided if she just would have helped me suppress my cough. I understand these PAs and NPs are afraid to write for a controlled substance cough medicine, but it does help me and I hate that these LIPs are grouping everyone into the same category, thinking that people will abuse it, when for some people, it actually just helps. I was thankfully heard by the MD at the ER and he was so helpful in providing what I needed so that I could finally stop coughing every second of the day, but this could have been avoided. It's just sad from one health care professional to another to see this. As a nurse, I give everyone the care they need because that's what we do as healthcare professionals, I listen to my patients, and I do everything in my power to advocate for them, and it's just kind of sad to see that certain PAs and NPs don't necessarily do that, they're lumping everyone into one category and thinking the worst. Anyway, the front desk staff are amazing and my PA was great except for not being empathic and taking into consideration that I know my body and what I need because it's happened before. This is hands down the worst urgent care I've been to. I was having difficulties after a MAJOR surgery ( My Dr being out of state )not able to legally call in the meds. My husband called to see if we came in would I be evaluated then my Dr provided a number so he could help. After TWO HOURS they refused to treat me or even attempt to call my Dr. When we asked to speak to the person who answered the phone who said "yes, we can do that" everyone stared at the floor. I asked again can I speak with the person my husband spoke with....continued crickets. Their PA then rudely told us "I guess your Dr should have given you the medicine" STAY AWAY from this place at all cost. They have an awful staff and ridiculous wait times! Might I also add they refused to call the chief Dr of a cancer center! It was honestly one of the craziest experiences. Pros: Staff - EXTREMELY FRIENDLY (but also see "Cons"). Environment - Very nice and clean. Highly comfortable and hospitable place to be. Wait time - Hardly any if you make an appointment. Cons: Following through with Referrals - Abysmal! I broke my ankle last Saturday, and had an X-ray performed. I was told that they would "send a referral to Orthopedic Specialists of Seattle and to wait for a phone call from them". Half a week passed by and no call from Orthopedic Specialists of Seattle, so I decided to give them a call. They told me they did not receive a referral from Multicare Indigo nor dy they take my insurance. I called Multicare Indigo - was told the following: "It was YOUR responsibility to call your insurance company to find an orthopedic specialist". Nobody told me, and if it was my responsibility​, then why on my AVS does it say "Referral to Orthopedic Specialists of Seattle". This mishap is rather upsetting because I work in the medical field and when we write referrals, we take the time to check if the office that we are referring to take our patients' insurance, and if we cannot find one, we call the patient's insurance company or go on the insurance company's database to find a location that would take their insurance. Therefore, if I were not proactive, I would still be waiting for Orthopedic Specialists for Seattle to call me and my ankle fracture still would be unmanaged. :-/ Staff - Lacks knowledge I was in a doctors office and he needed the "Impressions" by the radiologists who interpreted my X-ray of my broken ankle. Well, I tried to access my records via MyChart, but unfortunately, the code that was given to me did not work. I called the office to ask for a new code, but they did not know how to give me a new code and told me to call medical records (even though it's after hours). Thus, I ask them to read the "impressions" section of the X-ray. First, the medical assistant speaking to me did not know what an "impression" section of an X-ray is. Second, she said she could not do that due to HIPAA violation and office rules. Um no, calling a patient and telling them the results of their X-rays or labs is NOT a HIPAA violation, and I know this for a fact because my colleagues and I undergo HIPAA training every year, AND it is very common that doctor offices call their patients with results and treatment plans.....Therefore, I wonder if Multicare Indigo thoroughly trains their staff in regards to being HIPAA compliant. My overall impression: Multicare Indigo at this location​ is a nice place to get evaluated when you hurt yourself (in a minor way) or need immediate care. However, I would be extremely diligent in requesting that they give you print-outs of every medical document pertaining to your care, such as an X-ray, and in ensuring they follow through with referrals. read more

This is the WORST company for customer care. Stay away. Everything is run by BOTS. There is no human connection or help. Covid tests take forever. SKIP IT! If you want a quick turn around (fewer than tree days avoid this place). What they don't tell you is that it is WAY faster to do it as a drive through. This is a waste of time if you need to go on with your life. Nobody answers the phone, they transfer you all over the state from one answering machine to the other.
