Same as the others - location is convenient, the doctors are professional and scheduling is simple. Quality of care is okay, but lacking when compared to dermatologists in other geographies. Then comes the bill - hence the 1 star rating: Neither of the items submitted made any sense at all and thus my insurance didn't accept them. (Again, this is a standard preventative that has had no issues billing at other providers). They had billed for a surgery when none was performed and other unique codes they must realize nets them the largest amount. When I called them, they said they would fix it and submit the correct CPT codes and they had made a mistake. Lo and behold, I receive a bill 10 days later for the wrong amounts they had submitted. This billing is a disaster at best, but most likely a fraudulent attempt at insurance overbilling. I would avoid this place like the dishonest, greedy practice they are.

I'm a cancer survivor, among other stuff. Nothing about my care is easy, straightforward. Some of my troubles have taken years to bring under control. Dr Hodne is the best partner, life coach, and caregiver anyone can ask for. She and her team have gone above and beyond for me, time and again. Two strategies are proven to improve patient outcomes. Constructive long-term relationships, obviously. Emphasizing wellness over treating disease. Knowing this, I enthusiastically supported Greenlake's switch to a concierge model. The concierge model is a rejection of our nation's immoral, inefficient, profiteering fee-for-service model. It's a return to our Rockwell-esque notions of the family doctor. It allows doctors to spend as much time as needed with a patient, to do research, to coordinate all the referrals, to do battle with insurers, etc. No one is getting rich in family practice. Or running an independent clinic. Do the math, read the news. The providers at Greenlake Primary Care are making huge sacrifices. Just to keep the lights on. Just to deliver actual healthcare. Yes, concierge requires memberships to make it work. Until our nation adopts Medicare For All, it's the best available option. I chose to be a member, despite living off credit cards (at the time), because I wanted to get better. I chose correctly. You can too.

I scheduled an appointment online and was there the next day. Coincidentally, I had the same care provider as last time, Curtis Fanta. After examining my ear he suggested that the discomfort may be from earwax buildup. I was a bit skeptical, but after flushing my ears, I could hear again and the pain was just about gone. I kept monitoring things for the next several days, and sure enough everything went back to normal. Just be sure that you arrive on time/a little early. I overheard a convo with a guy who had come about 10 minutes late, and he had to rebook. As far as I can tell, this isn't the type of place where they triage treating patients according to how severe their condition--it's moreso about seeing patients at their appointment times. I think this is a great option for minor/run-of-the-mill concerns.

As others have noted, there is free parking and the office staff are friendly. We took our daughter there for years and were basically happy. However, I would not recommend if your child develops anything more complicated than bronchitis. When our daughter became ill with what at first appeared to be a "stomach flu" but persisted for several weeks, they minimized her suffering, told us she would be fine and to come back in a week if she was still having problems. They did not take us seriously even as our daughter lost weight and stopped being able to eat without feeling nauseous. We saw two different doctors there in addition to our primary doc because the primary was never available after the first visit. Eventually (more than three weeks after our first visit), after they finally sent her for tests, they found she was, in fact ill and it was serious after she went more than three weeks without help. Fast forward a few months and she started having different symptoms. They again minimized her symptoms and told us to come back if it continued. This time, I took her to a different doc in a different practice because I had had enough. The new doctor worriedly sent her for tests on her first visit and found that she had developed another serious condition that was brought on by her previous illness. I'm not listing the doctors' names in here because we saw three different doctors during this ordeal. The one that finally ordered the tests was Dr. Fillipo, if that helps, but we only saw him once and that was three weeks after our first visit. I rarely write reviews and typically avoid writing negative reviews, and as long as your child is normal and healthy, you will probably be fine here. I wish I could rate patient care and billing separately. The care I received from Dr. Jahncke was…read morecompassionate and competent. I came in for a consultation for a procedure, and she gave me good information about the procedure, and we agreed that it was a good idea. The billing, however, was awful. I told Dr. Jahncke up front that I needed time to save up money for this procedure, and we discussed a timeline that I thought would work. She told me that I could call up their billing department and get a detailed estimate for what I would be responsible to pay for, after insurance. I have a high deductible insurance plan, but otherwise it's pretty solid. Dr. Jahncke also told me that we needed to do a pelvic exam and pelvic ultrasound, which I scheduled with the front desk. I did the pelvic ultrasound, and then started trying to figure out how much this procedure was going to cost. It turns out that there isn't one person who can tell you what anything is going to cost... there are three or more people, who all tell you different numbers, and you have to hope they told you the right ones, and add them all up, and maybe (?) you can get a rough idea. No one knows how much anything costs. It's impossible to plan ahead, and everything is very, very expensive even with insurance. As I was still trying to figure out if I could afford the procedure, bills started arriving for the "lab work" that Dr. Jahncke had ordered... many, many bills. I've received five (5) statements so far, billing me separately for every step of the process. So far, without even having the procedure, my insurance has been billed almost $2,300 by four (4) different entities, and I've paid more than $900 out of pocket for procedures that no one warned me were going to be expensive. I am really upset that no one warned me before I had them done, especially after I had already discussed my financial situation and was trying to be responsible and plan ahead. I'm not sure anyone in the office even knows how much things cost. Needless to say, I'm not getting my procedure done here. I'm paying off the bills I already incurred, and then not coming back. It's too bad, because the care was good. But I can go to a stand-alone clinic for less than half of the cost, with no expensive surprises, and get the same procedure. If you have amazing insurance this place would be fine, but if not, it is going to be very expensive.

It is pretty easy to get in for an appointment within a week or two. The office staff seems much better than the Magnolia location. I appreciate this very much after years of dealing with their surly and mostly unhelpful staff. Parking kind of sucks. I'm probably just being a wimpy jerk, but I feel like they could be a bit kinder and gentler with children's immunizations. My flu shot was very quick and painless, while I found my small child's to be a violent stab. He was wiggling and such, but holy hell, he already has a huge fear of needles. Keep in mind his last two visits he had shots both times. Their bedside manner with children aside from 12" away jam-it-in of needles is actually very good. Will update as we continue to frequent the clinic.

A couple years later, I have been diagnosed with Crohns. She COMPLETELY missed the mark, and had she suggested I get tests done I likely would have been diagnosed years earlier.
