I accidentally messed up the procedure and at 2 am had to call for instructions on what to do. I called the doctor's number provided me with the instructions on preparing for the procedure. The doctor called me up within 5 minutes and we rescheduled. This time I did exactly as written and I showed up on time. Sarah my nurse took me back and gave me a warm blanket Before I knew it, it was finished, Doctor went over what was done and I left happy , satisfied, and hungry Excellent job guys!

He rushed through the first appointment we had, and didn't ask many questions. Half my responses were mischarted, and he cut me off wherever I tried to ask questions, or provide detail. When confronted with the severe pain (like, in tears, after previously tolerating a thrombosed hemorrhoid), he was a condescending jerk, and tried to minimize the pain as just anxiety, initially refusing to do any exam, and never performing a DRE, before or after, actively delaying receiving the right diagnosis and treatment in a timely manner which may have helped to undo the damage he contributed to. He just said to schedule an appointment a few months out, and it would be gone by then if I used Nitroglycerin (which both didn't work, and added to irritation). A nurse initially refused to share a list of PT providers, until I finished two more bandings. He then charged my insurance $1k for a second procedure he never performed. (Edit: this was marked as an office surgery in claim, but the CPT code was correct in EOB. He did bill initial visit at 45 to 60 minutes, despite less than 15 minutes of interaction) On Yelp, others have described similar incidents, and being guided into a procedure branded as "painless" without explanation or concern when severe pain is the outcome. The entity had a negative reputation from both a local colorectal specialist, and PT. I tried to switch providers at GastroHealth, but was told that wouldn't be possible, and to seek referral to hospital system (months out) instead. After leaving a negative review, Dr Bernstein rescheduled video visits (for a rectal injury), where he contributed nothing remotely valuable. This has caused thousands of dollars in medical bills, invasive tests, temporary disability, and near constant pain, severe enough to prevent me from being able to travel over the holidays, even after months of PT. The experience has been incredibly traumatic, to trust a doctor, and go from an already distressing amount of pain (which he did nothing of value to address), to an all new kind of pain. I truly believe he is incompetent and unethical, and someone who should not be practicing medicine, especially anything colorectal adjacent.

Immediately. The shear number of "casseroles" made it seem like she wasn't even trying, just throwing together what she had. So I've had A LOT of doctors, especially when figuring out my disorders. Which is still a thing. I know I'm not the best communicator but Dr.Lane and his team still try to understand and help to the best of their understanding and ability. Which there has been plenty of times where I've needed to be seen sooner and another team came in to cover. Swedish Primary Care *can* have its downs or drop the ball or just being short with people. That's kinda just being a doctor's office and being in Ballard is super busy so I get things can't always go smoothly. Honestly my biggest complaint is with parking. Which is already a complaint about being in the Seattle area. I've read some of the 1 star reviews. They seem to be already having a hard time. But to those that have I suggest giving Swedish Ballard another try. I wouldn't suggest it unless I genuinely believe in it. Hopefully you're next (or first) time in will be as helpful to you as it was to me.

It is the slowest, most lethargic, uncaring ER I've ever had the misfortune to visit. After being seen by triage for a brief moment, I have waited 2 1/2 hours for a room to become available. That is unacceptable even if things are busy. And they certainly don't appear to be busy. UGH!! I came here from the UW urgent care center, because they sent me away. They can't administer fluids there. Have you ever heard of anything so stupid in an urgent-care center? They said that this is a low-volume ER so things would go quickly. What a nightmare, to feel sick and have to sit for hours.

The clinic is small, cozy, and full of plants and cool vintage decor. The exam rooms themselves have a cozy old school vibe as well. Dr. Bliss had a very calming and kind demeanor, he seems like a person who genuinely enjoys caring for people. Going to the doctor can be a stressful experience, but Dr. Bliss and his partner made it a relaxing one. I'd genuinely look forward to going back! To top it all off, they let me take a couple plants home for free from the waiting room. The best!

As soon as I walked into the waiting area, I knew I was in for a positive experience. There has been so much attention to detail put into making the space beyond beautiful and welcoming. The waiting area is such a feast for the eyes that it almost makes me sad that there is never a wait to see the doctor! I could happily spend my whole day in there - especially since Laura is so darn friendly and such a warm and lovely conversationalist! Dr. Bliss is equally amicable. He truly takes time to get to know you, listen to all your concerns, and ensure you feel heard. I'm the kind of person who is skittish around doctors due to having been shamed by them in the past for different issues like weight or lifestyle choices. Dr. Bliss approaches patients in a way that is very affirming and positive and I felt totally at ease expressing all my concerns to him. He gave me all the information I needed without any judgement. I had such a great experience here that I immediately established care for my 14yo here too. My kiddo has a lot of anxiety about going to the doctor but he pretty much echoed all the sentiments I've already stated in this review. After his appointment, he talked a lot about how nice Dr. Bliss was and I noticed he wrote "You guys are awesome!" on his exit slip. That's pretty high praise from a kid who allegedly hates going to the doctor! It's so rare to find compassionate country doctor vibes from a clinic inside the city. I will definitely be recommending Dr. Bliss to all my friends!

Losing your mother is a terrible experience. Explaining to your father who also has dementia that his wife is gone, over and over, is just soul crushing. The staff at UW were very comforting and helpful and of this terrible situation this was the only light that was visible during this tragedy.
