The computer seemed new and updated and I did not have any issues with any of their services. You can actually wipe down the computers and keyboards with Clorox wipes and there's also hand sanitizer. I enjoyed those features. There were several parking places along the side to park in or there is also street parking. There was some kind of child reading class going on and it was a bit loud and distracting at times for what I was working on. It wasn't the normal quiet sanctuary of a library that I have always experienced. It is close to where I am staying for the moment so I will return if need be.

I was…read moreable to get a temporary number online but for some reason a few months later, I was having a little hiccup with the Libby app. I chatted with a librarian online (they're available 24 hours a day- WHAT! ) and they responded so fast and were so friendly! Well it was so quick that when I got off the chat and tried my temporary number again it still wasn't working. While on the chat they told me I could pick up a card at the library again! So that's just what I did. It took literally one minute and my ID and then I was on my way with a brand new shiny library card. I'm an official Oregonian now! I can't wait til everything opens up and I can park myself inside this library with all the books.

The second time I went there there was no room and nobody was in the community room. I was studying for a huge exam and really needed it to be quiet. I was told I could use the community room. I went there and closed the sliding doors because it made it much quieter. All someone had to do was open it to come in and use it. However, someone who worked there just opened the doors without saying a word to me. I was pretty upset. I asked if he could please keep the doors open but I was told no . I really really needed that time. So I packed up my stuff and left. Libraries aren't really very quiet. They used to be but not anymore. To really study you need a room and even then people talk very loudly right near the door. It is frustrating. The library is beautiful and there librarians overall were very kind and nice. My favorite thing would have to be that they allow members to rent up to 80 items at any given time; movies, books, etc all for 2wks-1month!! ps. becoming a member is super easy. Bring a piece of mail to verify your address and you can rent the max right away otherwise you can use your trial membership card to rent 5 items until you can bring your proof.

They have a room there for "books for sale" for only .50c each, and luckily we got plenty of great books there for really cheap. I love the selections of their dvds and their books. I have no complaints at all! Oh yeah, I do. . . For some borrowers, please park at the parking spot, not in the middle of the driveway because it is very inconvenience. Overall, I love this library.

It's usually well lit, quiet, and organized in a way that makes sense to me. I've spent hours in here reading or searching for books and movies. The staff has always been very helpful and I especially like the self-serve computer (though the touch screen could use a bit of work). Depending on the library closest to my new home, I may continue to have books sent here as I like it so well and it's convenient.

I was on my way to Sayler's and forgot to print the coupon they used to run during the week, where you got $10 off a dinner, so I thought I'd pop in here, use the computer and print it out. I did have to wait for about 15 minutes for a computer, but that flies by in a library. They were very nice and I ended up checking books out for a trip i was taking.

There are also a few toys for the kids and a computer at their level. After story time is over they oftentimes have a craft or fun thing to do after. Outside of the children's area they have a nice selection of books and several computers. They have easy parking right around the corner.

Thank you Fort Vancouver Regional Library District for said entertainment. This library has gone down hill since I was little. Yes, I have used this library for as long as I can remember. I don't know if it is necessarily the library's fault considering the space they are in and the community they serve. The building this branch is in is attached to a community center of sorts. The center serves free meals to seniors on some days so the food smell lingers in the library. It is not pleasant. This library is very tiny and very crowded. There are several computers bays, tables, chairs, and shelves randomly placed throughout the room. Tables are normally always packed with patrons that are playing card games that I'm guessing is Pokemon based on the fantastic geek talk going on. Shelves also go along the outside edges of the room but when I've gone in there recently there are many holes without books. Plus there doesn't seem to be much order to the books. I'm not sure if that's just the way they shelve here or if it is the patrons taking it upon themselves to put the books back. I hate trying to search for anything in here because of that very reason. I have only checked out books a couple of times in the last year here just because they have a book that I wanted to read but didn't feel like having it shipped to the Camas branch. The first time I checked out, I didn't realize they had a self checkout station because it wasn't properly marked. I stood at the counter as the librarian was checking books back in at the very same counter. Instead of her nicely directing me to the self checkout she just glared at me. Wow, way to be super friendly and helpful...at least a customer told me about it after she saw the glare. Now I know to use that anytime I need to check something out and hope I never have a question when that lady is working! Granted the only time I ever really want to use this branch of the Fort Vancouver Regional Library District is to return books. There are three drop off boxes outside the building in the front so even when the library is closed on Sundays or Mondays I can still turn books in without having to drive that far. Plus it means I wouldn't have to go in to the tiny, cramped, smelly library.

The quaint space is run by volunteers and costs $7 to use. The Microfilm machine is state of the art, much easier to use than the one at the county office on Hawthorne.
