The circulation desk employee was nice and knowledgeable. The parking doesn't have too much space but we were able to find a spot. The library had a top floor with more books for adults. The lower floor was for children. The restroom looked clean. There's a water refill station. It smells clean inside. There's a terrace you can read from on the second floor. There's a sensory room you ring the bell for if you want access to it. Outside there's a drop off ballot box.

The upstairs section has great natural light, lots of tables to work at with outlets. Private cubicles and computers with access to printers. There's an outside courtyard that is fun and functional. It's a wonderful place!

The kids area was amazing with books at his level, interactive play structures with a beautiful and fun nature theme. The reading nook was adorable and there were even a few toys out. We visited in the evening so it wasn't crowded but a mom and her son came to the area and told me on Tuesday's they had story time! We will be coming back for that next! The staff were very helpful and sweet as well. So grateful this is so close to us and we will be back so many times!

It's been about 10 years since I last visited the Midland Library, and wow--what a difference. I…read moreknew they remodeled a few years back, but I finally had the chance to come in today, and it honestly feels like a brand-new space. The library feels so much more spacious than before. I really love the natural light coming through the windows, and the paintings and decorations throughout the building make the whole place feel calming and welcoming. It's the kind of environment that makes you want to slow down and stay awhile. They also have several conference rooms, ranging from larger rooms to smaller ones, which is great for meetings or quiet study time. On top of that, there's a dedicated kids' area where children can read, play, and just enjoy being in a space designed for them. Overall, this is an easy 5/5. An excellent place to bring your kids, read some books, or just enjoy a peaceful, well-designed library. I'm really glad I came back.

I also make use of their online databases, and the workers are more than willing to help with any questions or concerns you may have. The learning center has been a life-saver. Basement: quiet floor, DVD players available First floor: Peet's Coffee, printing/scanning services, rentals of mice, laptops, laptops that play DVDs, etc. Second floor: awesome help desk to help you out with research Third floor: perfect for group meetings. I either book a room or use one of the tables by the window Fourth floor: my favorite quiet floor, complete with private cubicles Fifth floor: quiet floor

I figured it was about time for me to write up a review for the PSU library as I have been spending…read moremost of my time there lately. This library has many different spaces available in order to get your school work done; whether it be solo or with a group. There are six floors in the library, half of them are quiet study and the other half allow talking in order for group work to happen. There are quite a few private group study rooms that are available for rent to students (be sure to reserve these way in advance during mid-term and finals weeks). The library has a whole slew of computers as well as several print stations. The print stations are hooked up to web print so you can conveniently print from your own laptop. There is a reference desk located on the second floor. If you don't know where to get started in this large library. you should stop by the reference desk first. I've also had a bit of luck having them help me with my research. These librarians went to school to learn how to research things, go take advantage of their expertise! I also enjoy the various views I can get depending on which side of the library I decide to it on. If you sit on the east side of the building (the front) you have a nice view of the Park Blocks and a beautiful tree that grows right in front of the library. If you head to the west side you get a view of the football field. I have had much entertainment from watching everything from soccer and football practice to martial arts practice and cricket games.

The only downside is that it can take awhile on hold on the phone to get an appointment time. This is a very nice branch of the library. After visiting a number of the other branches, I feel lucky to have such a large branch close to my home. My toddler really enjoys the kids play area. This branch also offers a lot of different programs through the week for children and older adults. I haven't been to any of these, I cannot comment on the quality.

I came over to visit and explore the new library. They have an underground parking lot. I…read morewalked around the new library and they have a lot of benches to sit and relax. There are also little metal figurines all over the library sitting area outside. It is right by the Max Station so it's quite convenient to get here. I went inside and saw how much open and spacious it is. There are two levels and the third level is just a rooftop with benches to sit and relax. First floor is the kids play area, books. There is also an outdoor play area for the kids. Upstairs is the nonfiction, fiction and teens novels area. I found the south side of the library has all windows, which is perfect for reading, studying or working. There are multiple rooms you can reserve for meetings. The bathrooms are all gender bathroom stalls. Quite clean. It's really fun to walk up the stairs to the second floor. You get a glimpse of the whole library and how open and expensive it it. Absolutely love the seating area by the south windows. You get the full immersion of day reading.

Thank you Fort Vancouver Regional Library District for said entertainment. This library has gone down hill since I was little. Yes, I have used this library for as long as I can remember. I don't know if it is necessarily the library's fault considering the space they are in and the community they serve. The building this branch is in is attached to a community center of sorts. The center serves free meals to seniors on some days so the food smell lingers in the library. It is not pleasant. This library is very tiny and very crowded. There are several computers bays, tables, chairs, and shelves randomly placed throughout the room. Tables are normally always packed with patrons that are playing card games that I'm guessing is Pokemon based on the fantastic geek talk going on. Shelves also go along the outside edges of the room but when I've gone in there recently there are many holes without books. Plus there doesn't seem to be much order to the books. I'm not sure if that's just the way they shelve here or if it is the patrons taking it upon themselves to put the books back. I hate trying to search for anything in here because of that very reason. I have only checked out books a couple of times in the last year here just because they have a book that I wanted to read but didn't feel like having it shipped to the Camas branch. The first time I checked out, I didn't realize they had a self checkout station because it wasn't properly marked. I stood at the counter as the librarian was checking books back in at the very same counter. Instead of her nicely directing me to the self checkout she just glared at me. Wow, way to be super friendly and helpful...at least a customer told me about it after she saw the glare. Now I know to use that anytime I need to check something out and hope I never have a question when that lady is working! Granted the only time I ever really want to use this branch of the Fort Vancouver Regional Library District is to return books. There are three drop off boxes outside the building in the front so even when the library is closed on Sundays or Mondays I can still turn books in without having to drive that far. Plus it means I wouldn't have to go in to the tiny, cramped, smelly library.
