The food was so good and they're gluten free friendly! They were able to accommodate our large party of 16 and we got to sit outside and enjoy the beautiful views of Canmore.

Chicken tikka masala w/ plain rice; vegetable pulao and garlic nan. Just delish

Sitting outside looking at the mountains - spectacular view. The food is great too. The chicken tikka masala and vegetable rice are delicious and as authentic as they come. They have a great chef. The raita was extra watery but tasted good. So glad that we are eating here. Keep up the good food and get your hardworking servers some additional help! Will surely come again

really solid indian food! the paratha was phenomenal, and the garlic naan was also delicious. the fungi (mushroom) & coconut curry was also a top dish. the butter chicken, chicken biryani, and tandoori chicken momos were still good but not my favorites. the service was standard, decent wait times for food. ambiance is very chill - pretty cute decor including very hipster lamps in the ceilings! overall, if you're in the canmore area, i would highly recommend!

We got a few items to go and was surprised by how delicious everything was! Full of flavor and yum! Even better than a lot of the Indian restaurants I've been to in NYC. Truly impressed to find this in the small town of Canmore. We had the chicken Masala, butter chicken and the lasooni saag and truly everything was so good. We got a side of rice and garlic nan and it was so yum. I liked the chicken masala especially due to the spicy kick! Even my picky father who doesn't eat anything but chinese food really enjoyed it. Portion was generous for the price too. Overall, this place was definitely legit! Highly recommended.

My friend and I were staying in Canmore and walked by Mumbai Local Friday evening. The menu looked promising and we were in the mood for Indian so we decided to give it a shot. There's both indoor and outdoor seating available when we came in early September. We opted to sit outside. I started with a glass of the mango mojito sangria ($11), which was delicious. My friend had the Kashmiri chili caesar ($10) and thought it was decent. The portions here looked pretty big based on the tables around us getting their food, so we shared one appetizer and one curry. We didn't want to walk away with leftovers. The Kandhari murg/chicken tikka ($18) is one of the most popular orders here according to our server, so we tried that and the fungi and coconut curry ($18). We also ordered some roti, naan, and basmati rice to eat with the curry. We loved the chicken tikka, which was super flavorful and tender. The fungi and coconut curry was also good but a little bit sweeter than we prefer. Loved the mixed mushrooms they included in the curry though!

Amazing food. Had the tandoori Momo, chicken Biryani, roasted cauliflower, tikki masala, clay pot mutton, and their nan. Everything tasted great. The service was fine and the place has a nice atmosphere. Highly recommend you check it out.

Delightful and delicious! Enjoy mountain town views and enjoy some amazing Indian cuisine. 12/10 in my book!

Nice atmosphere clean and inviting.. The food was good! But the service was slow and lacking. The portions could have been bigger and the saffron rice was over priced at $12. $5 for 1 piece of Naan is pricy. Dinner was $130 for 4 before tax and tip. No drinks.

The menu here is very interesting however the flavors were a miss! The service is excellent and everyone we talked to was very warm and accommodating! The pav bhaji did not taste like pav bhaji. Did it taste bad? No! I ate it and didn't mind it but it just didn't taste or look like pav bhaji is supposed to. Same with the puri bhaji! The puris were extremely thick. We did let the restaurant know for constructive feedback! The papdi chat also wasn't authentic! I don't think the food here tastes bad but it doesn't resemble or taste like the dishes they're supposed to resemble.

Amazing food!! The menu was fun and unique. We started off with the Mumbai chaat platter which was 10/10 so delicious. I felt like I was truly transported to Mumbai and eating the street food there. The naan and bhature was so buttery and soft. My favorite curry was the kibbeh- so flavorful and rich. The servers were also very sweet and brought the food out promptly. The place was neat and had unique Indian-inspired artwork. Definitely a must go Indian restaurant in Canmore!

The food was amazing, especially the lamb biryani. We even asked if they could lessen the spice, then realized the yogurt served with it helps balance the heat perfectly. The ambiance was also really nice, cozy, and welcoming. The staff were all very attentive and polite, but special thanks to Mark for helping us with our orders and recommending some great spots around Canmore. Overall, this place is definitely a must-try for first-time visitors!

We ordered quite a few things, the Zyka Chicken Tikka, Onion Bhajia, a a lot of garlic naans, and others I don'y quite remember! Although, a lot of the curries were actually very good. The appetizer was also very nice as well. Garlic naans were definitely very garlic-y. Although, the eggplant was definitely too roasty for our taste. We liked that one the least. Overall, the food and ambiance here was pretty good! Definitely feels like an "elevated" dining experience with the music and atmosphere here. I would say that service was a bit slow, or they tend to forget our order, but they are also pretty busy with other tables.

Breakfast/Lunch Stop Worth the Detour…read more I'm a pretty picky eater. Not because I want to be, but because I have to be. I try to eat vegetarian in the morning, and I'm allergic to wheat, which makes dining out a little more complicated than it should be. My boyfriend found this little café outside Banff, and honestly, it turned out to be one of the better food surprises of the trip. We both ordered the Pad Thai -- one loaded with extra protein, one without. I had low expectations. I've eaten enough Thai food to know that about 7 or 8 out of 10 places overcook the noodles. They become soft, mushy, and fall apart the moment you touch them. Not here. The noodles were cooked perfectly -- still chewy with a nice bite. The peanut sauce was another pleasant surprise. It wasn't overly sweet or heavy like many North American versions. The balance was just right. The spice level was mild, which I appreciated because the dish actually tasted like Pad Thai instead of being buried under a mountain of chili. The vegetables were generous, fresh, and plentiful. My boyfriend's chicken portion wasn't huge, but there was plenty of tofu, which made sense since the dish is originally designed as a vegetarian option. The chef seemed to add the chicken as an extra rather than making it the star of the plate. The portion looked manageable when it arrived. It was not. I couldn't finish mine, and my boyfriend had to rescue the remaining noodles. Pad Thai: 4/5 The Vegan Berry Scone was light, not greasy, and not overly sweet. The strawberries and blueberries added little bursts of tartness, and there was a nice oat flavor throughout. My only complaint? It might have been too healthy. A tiny bit more sweetness could have taken it from "good" to "wow." Vegan Berry Scone: 3/5 The Vegan Chocolate Cake was exactly what a chocolate lover would want. Rich dark chocolate flavor without being sugary or overwhelming. It was a little dense and heavy, but in a comforting way that made me keep reaching for another bite. If the cake itself were slightly more moist, it would be nearly perfect. That said, making something both vegan and gluten-free that tastes this good deserves credit. Vegan Chocolate Cake: 4/5 What really impressed me was the overall value. Since the café is outside the main Banff tourist zone, prices are much more reasonable, parking is easy, and they offer a surprisingly large selection of gluten-free and vegan options. For someone like me, who usually spends half the meal interrogating the menu, that alone is worth celebrating. Final Rating: 4/5 Good food, fair prices, easy parking, and plenty of options for people with dietary restrictions. I'd absolutely come back. In fact, if I'm passing through again, I probably won't bother looking for another place.
