He asked several key questions while examining me which allowed us to make a reasonable association with some signs of acid reflux and he explained the relationship to both concerns Medication he prescribed resulted in improved sleep, nearly eliminated snoring (attested to by my husband)and better digestion of spicy foods within a week. Life is better! Next, convinced my husband to seek him out due to chronic, unresolved ear infection/allergy issues for which he was treated for 2 YEARS by another ENT in area! Dr. Lee provided similar diagnosis but suggested totally different treatment and my husband's ear issues were resolved within 2 weeks. Wow. What a difference the right care can mean.

However, my interpretation of this has always been that he has been doing this for a very long time -- He cuts to the chase, bases his opinions and diagnoses on facts, and takes the actions necessary to scientifically and medically gather evidence before going down a certain path. Even though he can (and I say "can" because it's not all the time) be a little snarky, he is also a good listener. He also doesn't pretend to be an expert in areas in which he doesn't have expertise, which is good. I had the opposite experience as the other poster - Dr. H did take my then-2 year old daughter's 'word' into account (just not as the ultimate truth, as sometimes small kids can't really articulate what the issue is). He is the right combination of aggressive and conservative with treatments, surgeries, etc. He has always been sensitive to the condition of our family as a result of my daughter's health and not just limiting it specifically to her symptoms (read: He saw how little sleep I was getting, too, and I think he factored in the long-term trauma and stress into making a more aggressive recommendation). He is VERY good with small children. My daughter absolutely loves him. He is gentle and not in the least bit 'scary.' My daughter has had ear tubes in, adenoids out, and sinus surgery with him (a total of 2 surgeries). She is not even five yet. For three years, I tried natural/organic/Eastern alternative and reluctantly considered more traditional means ...Being totally desperate, I finally ended up in his office and over time, in retrospect, I think that working with him has resulted in the most benefits for my daughter's improving health. He is also very responsive - I called his office today and asked a pretty minor question. His nurse called me back with his specific guidance on what to do (from his mouth) within 2 hrs. I am very, very grateful that we found him.

On each visit, I check in with someone at the front to make sure we are up to date on things - as soon as you enter the office, just one tiny step in and you are in front of that person. They do have a waiting area as most offices do, but I am hardly in there as I try to be always on time for my visits. Someone else will take your pressure and take you to one of their rooms. If you are on time for your appointments, you never have to wait long before you see Dr. Tatar. He is always pleasant, very helpful and knowledgeable. I always leave with a smile. His employees are great as well. I always drive the distance every time I visit, but it is worth it. I never feel rushed or feel like I am waiting forever. All the more reasons why I keep coming back each time.

After two visits to pick up my prescription, one 5 hours after my appointment, the pharmacist had no record of a prescription being sent in. I called Anne Arundel ENT and after being on hold for about 8 minutes was put on hold again when they saw that my prescription was never sent. A terrible system and a big waste of your time. Just give me the prescription and I will get it myself. The method they use is useless.

I found him to be very knowledgeable and thorough in his explanations. My first visit I had botox in my forehead and restylane in my cheek folds. The pain was minimal and the results amazing. Folks at home commented on how rested I looked, but with two young children that is far from the case. I look natural and healthy and couldn't be more pleased. Since the initial visit, I have returned each time I visit Baltimore. Each time I am equally satisfied. The office staff are friendly and helpful. My only con is that he does not live in California.
