I am 75 years old and needed to find a new doctor/NP for medications, etc. since my old clinic…read moredidn't take my medicare advantage plan. I started going to a NP (Hannah Pienciak) at Oak Street Clinic. At first I thought they were adequate, but within a few months, I found out their clinic does not respond to phone calls (they use a Call Center who does not relay messages) and you can NEVER actually talk to your doctor/NP or their nurse when you call. The Clinic Manager finally had to resolve a situation when I was supposed to be referred for a Sleep Study and after 6 weeks, it still had not happened. The last straw was when I needed a prescription that I had been taking for many years filled because I was totally out, it took 4 days to get the prescription sent to the pharmacy after 4 days of calling the Clinic and finally getting the Clinic Manager to resolve this. On top of that, the NP made a decision to reduce my medication without having a conversation about it with me so we could make a joint decision. She also reduced the medication without having an alternative treatment already in place. In my mind, that is unethical behavior for a doctor/NP. The Call Center is worthless and the fact that you can't talk to anyone in your clinic is frustrating and not effective. Also if you give information to anyone else in the clinic to give to your doctor or nurse, it does not get to them. I would do your research first before signing on with them. I will not be using them going forward.

I have nothing but exceptional care from Hannah Pienciak and the team at Oak Street. Highly…read morerecommended.

I have been coming here for years. Maybe it's time to find a new primary. Second year in a row that…read moremy lab order was not given to the in-house Labcorp clinic. Had to wait in line until someone said there was no lab order for my annual wellness exam. Then had to stand in a different line to have someone print out my lab order. Spent an hour here when it used to take 15 minutes. Don't get me started on the new automated check in system. Many people checking in were having problems checking in.

Like other reviews, my children's primary is top notch, best of the best, but the corporate…read morestructure of Optum is a mess. This isn't just to vent, there is a serious problem with billing and customer service. The billing department is unable to process insurance, and they keep doing so incorrectly. This can be a hassle with insurance, that is fairly normal, but between two different insurance companies, and multiple corrections and confirmations made to both Optum and multiple forms of insurance, unfortunately, the bill keeps arriving with no changes to the billing at all. This is such a problem that all trust in their system is lost. Customer service (who is a corporate outsource) purposely misrepresents the state of their billing by confirming items that immediately afterward my insurance reports are not present or billed correctly. In the age of internet exposing call center scams, you begin to wonder if the number you're reaching is just a clever scam center with access to your medical data, and with all of the comprehensive corporate leaks that we do know about, you don't feel safe giving any money to anyone anymore. It's really that bad. Calling them to figure out what's going on is basically just taking your time and lighting it on fire in the front yard and hoping the angels appreciate your offering. Optum maintains that this is not their issue, that insurance must have some sort of problem. My insurance is so tired of hearing from me that they decided to reach out to Optum directly. Optum has not changed the bill, nor have they changed the billing process. These bills are going on a year old, and there has been no progress. I am to the point where I have reconsidered whether or not we need single payer, and I am start to understand why Luigi did what he did, I'm not saying I endorse it, but I understand.
