So, I want to write a review for Monster Craving, the cookie shop. Honestly, I wasn't super enthused about it--but let me start with the positives. The service was really great. Everyone was nice and welcoming, and the shop itself is adorable. It's very well put together, and I loved the way they have the display case set up. It's a cute little spot, and visually, it makes a great impression. Now, for me, where it fell short was the actual cookies. I felt like all of the ones we ordered tasted the same, which was really strange. When we went in, my mom ordered a Red Velvet and a Banana Moon Pie, and I got the Carrot Cake and Oatmeal Raisin. I'm someone who really enjoys cookies, and I'm a bit of a stickler about them--especially oatmeal raisin. I want to taste the oats. But this one didn't deliver. The base of it tasted more like a standard chocolate chip cookie dough, and while it had some raisins and cranberries, it just didn't give me that distinct oatmeal raisin flavor I was expecting. My mom ended up receiving a Chocolate Chip instead of her Red Velvet, which was disappointing because she was really looking forward to that one. She did enjoy the Banana Moon Pie and said it tasted just like an actual moon pie. I've never had one myself, so I couldn't speak to it, but she was happy with it. I also took a bite of her chocolate chip cookie, and it tasted exactly like my oatmeal raisin--same dough, same flavor. And that was the pattern. The Carrot Cake cookie, too, didn't stand out. It had a drizzle of icing on top, but beyond that, I couldn't taste anything that made it feel like a true carrot cake-inspired cookie. It just felt like the same base dough across all the flavors. I wouldn't personally go back, but I do recommend that people try it for themselves. Everyone's palate is different, and maybe it was just my batch. I'm genuinely curious to hear what others think. If you do try it, please let me know--did the cookies taste the same to you too? Again, the service was great, and the shop itself is beautiful. I wanted to love it because I love cookies, but this time, it just didn't meet the mark for me. Still, I think it's worth checking out for yourself and forming your own opinion.

I came a bit before closing and they were out of the majority of their cookies, but I ended up opting for the vegan chocolate chip. This was one of my favorite cookies I think ever! Something about it was just so perfect everywhere. The edges were crispy and flavorful, middle was soft and doughy, and the salt and chocolate was the optimal salty sweet balance. Incredible cookies - I want to try more!

I want to preface this by saying I'm giving the review on behalf of my boyfriend and I, who each ordered 2 cookies on Friday night. I ordered the two birthday cake cookies -- unfrosted and frosted, and I loved them both. They were soft and full of dough in the middle. The frosting was fresh, it didn't taste like a hard frosting (I don't know how to explain myself). My boyfriend ordered the Oatmeal Raisin one, and said it wad good, and the Chocolate Chip one. He did't like that one because he could literally taste the pieces of sugar as if they weren't mixed well. He said it tasted well, but the sugar was too "chunky." Service was fast since we just ordered and the cookies were already in the showcase.

Left to right: original chocolate chip, peanut butter, unfrosted birthday cake

I ordered 3 cookies: original chocolate chip, peanut butter, and unfrosted chocolate chip. These cookies were SWEET. I have a sweet tooth myself and I'm glad I got the unfrosted birthday cake because the extra icing and sprinkles would've been way too much. The original chocolate chip was okay and the peanut butter was as expected. I'm giving 4 stars instead of 3 because the service was actually great, there was no wait for my order, and the cookies were very soft before I exposed them to the colder temps outside. I would like to try the walnut chocolate chip if I go back to CFW.

Cookies are too sweet. I wasn't impressed. It reminds me of Crumbl cookies, just looking for flash not to really have people enjoy the cookies..

Cookies were very good, not much wait times. Staff was a little rude and one worker was on their phone. Overall I would go because of how good the cookies were.

We got 3 cookies for $4 each on Friday, 5/31/24. We went at 8:30 pm, so they were out of a lot of flavors. We got Cookies & Cream and Butter Waffle. The cookies were soft and perfectly crispy on the edges. But they tasted the same. The Butter Waffle cookie tasted nothing like butter or waffles. The Cookies & Cream cookie didn't taste like cookies and cream. There are better cookies in Atlanta.

This is located inside of The Works, which a super cool food hall with a lot of options. We got the classic chocolate chip and a s'mores cookie. Both of them were amazing! Super fresh and perfect amount of sweetness. They had a bunch of different cookies and look forward to going back and trying more!

Munster Cravings is another Tik Tok try for me. I have been trying all the cookie spots with my son. It's been our thing comparing them all. So this one is located in The Works off of Chattahoochee Ave. It's located in the food ball. Parking is free for the 1st 2 hours. It was kind of difficult to locate in the Food Hall. It's right by the Jamaican restaurant called Perfect Seasoning and the Philly G Steak. You can't miss it if you find those two. The Munster logo and signage do stand out once you see it. We went on the 4th of July late in the day, so many of the cookies were gone. We did get to grab a few cookies to sample. My son selected the Oreo cookie, and I went with the Walnut Chocolate chip. The cookies are large. Crispy outer edges and soft and delicious middle. My son said oreo had just the right amount of cookie pieces and soft. I love chocolate chip cookies with nuts. I usually like pecans, but this cookie was really good. The cookies run for $4 a piece. This is about the same price as other cookie businesses. The staff was friendly, considering we came close to closing. I would buy them again as a special treat here and there. I'd like to try some other flavors. There are some vegan cookie options.

#SouthernFoodReview Munster Cravings is located inside The Chattahoochee Food Works. I researched and read reviews before my trip to Atlanta cause I love me some cookies... so I was reeeeady!!! When I got there though... there really wasn't any direction of where to go. I just went as I was led and happened to go into a side door and walked and BOOM there it was! There was a small line (and I understand why) the staff was attentive and welcoming. ORDER: (2) Chocolate Chip Cookies (1) Southern Tea Cake Cookie Ran about $15 includ. tip. They were delicious and even stayed fresh all the way back to Los Angeles! Now that says A LOT!!! I recommend and I'll definitely return on my next visit to Atlanta!!! Note to Owner: Pssst... put one is LA, please! Lol (:

If you want the short rendition: Let's talk about how AMAZING these cookies are!!!!!! I wanted a dessert after having dinner at a nearby restaurant. I did a quick Yelp search and stumbled upon this gem. It is located at The Chattahoochee Food Works (cool spot to check out). The display container included various flavored cookies. I decided to keep it simple and ordered the chocolate chip cookie. I asked the cashier to make sure I get a soft one. He replied and said all of them are soft since they are cooked daily! Let me warn you- this cookie is not cheap! One cookie is $4!! I decided to sit on a bench and enjoy my treat. The first bite was amazing. I can't pit into words how great the cookie taste as well as the combination of the perfect texture. I really believe this is the best cookie I have had in a long time!! I am glad that this place is not in close proximity to me because I am sure I would want to indulge in the goodness of these cookies more frequently. Do yourself a favor and check out this spot!

My steak was right, and my wife's fermented carrot bolognese was a complete thought--the dish you only get somewhere willing to take the swing and connect. But the openers were too clever by half, at least in execution. The North Georgia trout carpaccio came out like Swedish Fish. The peach salad arrived with prepubescent peaches. We were checked out enough by the end to wave off dessert. Then the actual room reminds you what a top-50 actually bought you. The dining room ran cold, so my wife asked for a blanket. She was told there were two, both taken, and that requests to buy more had already been refused. Read that again. A top-fifty restaurant rationing blankets like wartime supplies. She ended up flagging a woman on her way out for the one she gave back. The Alpine, immersive, cared-for experience--outsourced to a departing stranger. The service lost the thread early and never found it. Ninety seconds after taking our drink order, our server asked whether we'd ordered drinks. Later, wine had to be flagged down, and when it arrived he couldn't remember what we'd requested. And the fruit flies. At our table, and--for thematic consistency--in the men's room. Fruit flies. At No. 29 in North America. The kitchen can clearly cook. But you don't crack a top-fifty list to ration blankets and split the room with fruit flies. To Avize: I hope the night I had wasn't the same one you think you're putting on.

All the high-end…read morerestaurants (not just in Atlanta but everywhere) seemed to either be formal "fancy" dining with boring menus and crazy high prices, or chef-centric places more interested in showing off the kitchen's chops than providing an enjoyable experience for diners. We'd rather find a hole in the wall on Buford Highway. But with a big anniversary coming up, we thought we should go someplace nice. I chose Avize because the menu looked much more interesting and cohesive than any of the other fine dining options I checked out. I was not disappointed. It was one of the best meals I've had in Atlanta in years. Service was very attentive though, admittedly, we were one of only a couple of tables. The sommelier spent a long time with us discussing our tastes and recommending options before settling on a funky and delicious bottle from a small producer in France. For the first course we ordered venison tartare and ramp and morels three ways. The ramp and morel dish was a showcase, though the venison was probably the star of the evening. For mains I got the fermented carrot Bolognese. Delicious and well-executed, though probably less adventurous than the name suggested. The lamb definitely showcased the chef's skills, with four or five different cuts and preparations on the plate, but focused on flavor rather than showiness. We also shared two sides. The tartiflette - a cheesy, bacony potato dish - and fried artichokes in a delicious pesto cheese sauce. There were no disappointments. Every dish was inventive, beautiful, delicious and reminiscent of our time in Switzerland and northern Italy. It's also worth mentioning that the portion sizes were just right - we left full but not stuffed. Total came to under $300 including wine, tax and tip, which is quite reasonable for that level of food and service (the tasting menu is quite a bit more). All in all, it rekindled my hope that fine dining can break out of its rut.
