We designed our entire float and drop off plan around something you could have communicated to us to avoid a Waste of time We now had to pay out of pocket when not planning to and had to drive all over town just to rent. Mrs. G scanned the inventory and immediately plucked one off the rack and bought it on the spot. As we traveled south in the Rockies and west to California she has gotten a lot of compliments everywhere she goes. I did not buy one over the summer but wished that I had. You see, I use a laptop and its nice to have a quality bag to carry it around. We happened to be back in Missoula over the winter and I had to check out the shop. He make about four different shaped leather bags and one fits a laptop perfectly. Purchased and happy. The bags are heavy duty, attractive, handmade and every one is different. It was a bike rack we'd purchased from another REI and had to get things replaced. I went up to the front counter and was met with a very weird attitude/criticism and weird looks that I didn't know to go to the bike counter in the back of the store(didn't even know there was a counter back there).... Got back to that counter and the bike guys were like no, you could have done this up there, no reason to haul the rack back here.... Otherwise a solid REI just a very weird social encounter that threw both my wife and I.
