It was a nice play area for the kids, there appears to be a large amount of RV parking, there are a couple very acceptable port-o-potties, and most importantly there for some great rocky areas down by the water where the kids plus or minus you can go and explore! I've only been here when the tide has been in, but I can imagine what it is out, there are probably some pretty great tight pools. When we've been there, the small tide pools the form are great for looking for small fish, crabs, and see in enemies. It's basically going to the aquarium in real life! It takes a little bit to get here as it's about 10 miles off the main road, but the roads are nice and it goes quick. There's a more standard sandy beach just around the bend, but it's a private area and runs something like eight dollars a person to go enjoy it. We were more keen to hang out on the rocks after finding out!

Massive sculptural sea stacks rise along the shoreline, rugged and dramatic. The beach is strewn with driftwood, some pieces arranged so naturally they feel like art instillations. Its name comes from the subtle reddish mineral flecks in the sand, which glow beautifully when the sun hits them. We loved exploring this area, and it's absolutely a must-stop if you're anywhere near Forks. Vault restrooms are available just off the parking lot; they're basic and don't have running water. Because this beach is part of Olympic National Park, you'll need to pay the daily entrance fee or better yet, grab an America the Beautiful Pass for access to all national parks. I wouldn't recommend walking barefoot or swimming here. The water stays around 45-55°F year-round, the waves are powerful, and the surf can be unpredictable. This is a place to admire, wander, and soak in the wild beauty of the coast.

There's a bunch of driftwood among the soft sand. There's enough sand to walk on to not worry about accidentally getting wet, but also the water isn't a large distance away. I even saw a harbor seal swimming in the water right from the sidewalk, to give you an idea of how close things are. The beach is contiguous with Willows park. The public washrooms have a shower area to wash off sand as well as toilets and sinks. There's a playground and grassy areas if you want to play around or lie in the grass. Do note that this area is dog friendly. During my visit, all of the pooches were well behaved so I wouldn't be too worried about it though.

One of the most magical places I've ever been to, it's a short hike in and a hike out. Downhill there and then uphill back, not paved trail. Be sure to get there before sunset so you have time to look around the beach and enjoy the sunset, but either way so worth the trip! We went on Christmas Eve and had the whole beach to ourselves! Will have to come back one day to explore more of this beautiful beach. It's La Push, Bella ;)

The camp sites are quite large with lots of trees. Bathrooms and showers are nice. Maybe the pay function of the showers was broken when I visited, but showers were free. You can hear the waves crashing at the beach from the campground. Close drive to Port Angeles. One of my favorite campgrounds in the area.

Beautiful refuge! Really a bit of everything here: trails, campground, views, a sandy trail to a…read morelighthouse, and loads of wildlife to take in as you roam. We didn't stay overnight here, but we did wander much of the grounds and a few trails. We saw deer as we entered, as well as at the start of the trail. Perhaps my favorite deer related encounter however was seeing all the deer tracks on the beach...so cool. We also spotted 2 bald eagles perched on the bluff high above the beach monitoring the waters below. We didn't take the spit all the way to the lighthouse, but did some bird watching along the way as we wandered that direction. It's really a lovely place to hike while taking in beautiful coastal views and spotting animals enjoying their home. Plenty of parking at the main entrance, as well as at various trailheads. Entrance costs $3 or a valid pass.

A toilet did get clogged at some point but was promptly addressed by the next day. The beach is within walking distance, just across the road.

Inadequate sanitation for the number of tent campers…read more We stayed at Crescent Beach & RV Park August 2025. One of the two toilets in the tent camping area was out of order for our whole stay (2 days) and the Port-a-potty was full. Very full. For two days. This campground sells out *every summer*; it should not be a surprise to them that they are fully occupied and need to provide adequate sanitation facilities for the people in the 31 tent sites. And in fact, they know that the sanitation is inadequate, because they mentioned it in the notice on the the toilet door: "Due to high volume during summer months, our vault toilets may experience overuse. We schedule two cleanings a day but encourage guests to take full advantage of the flushable toilets, showers, and rinse station located at the east / RV side of the park." The RV side of the park provides a whopping 3 toilets for women, and 2 toilets and a urinal for men. Given the swarms of mosquitoes, its not a delightful walk over to the RV side. Nor is it delightful to have to use a full Port-a-Potty when you are paying $45 a night for a tent camp site. The location is not enough of a redeeming factor for us, we will not be back.

A must visit beach if you are exploring the Olympic NP! Although it's associated with the park, the…read morebeach is on reservation land, so an additional $20 entrance fee is required. The hike to the beach is about 2 miles, very muddy, but it truly feels like you are walking through a rainforest. It's also the best trail to spot banana slugs! The beach itself is incredible, especially during low tide with amazing tide pools. It's much less crowded than other beaches in the area, giving you plenty of space to explore. You can walk along the shoreline for miles. Overnight camping on the beach is also allowed!

Came here after hobuck beach, which is like an 8 minute drive away. Much prettier with the sunset…read morejust over the water body. Couple of parking spots to the side. No hiking trails around here. But, still so pretty when I first entered. No one else on the beach, so I was just running around and splashing on the water. Got to easily see the thunderstorm and lightning with my own eyes over the tall and green trees. I was not scared, but more so in awe at how cool the sight looked. Sand here much nicer than the one at hobuck beach, too Trailhead had a cute, wooden boardwalk at the start that were in the shade of the tall and skinny treescovered in moss. It was so nice to breathe the air here and there is so much side street parking no matter what time you come. I came during prime hours that were later in the day, but not too late...still was able to park! Just watch your step for the muddy parts and the change in elevation with the boardwalk steps
