Outside was questionable, due to the season and…read moretemperature, I was surprised that some of the varieties on sale were unsuitable for taking home and planting. Whomever was "helping" customers was not a very friendly person. I would understand if he was dealing with many customers.. Although that was not the fact, a total of 4 customers including myself were shopping. I had great expectations and will revisit, I'm hoping next time it will be better.

They assured him that they had birdbaths in stock, so off we went. It's out in the country a little bit, so of course we drove right past it the first time, and somehow the husband had the old name (Dunn's), though now it's called Tree House. Parked, someone asked us if we needed help and directed us to the selection of concrete birdbaths. However, though they had tags, they didn't actually have any prices. Our helper checked the system and gave us a price range of something like $35-140, which was...not super useful. We eventually selected a small one, which she somehow determined to be $42.99. I had to go over to their little hut to pay, but they did offer to load it in our truck for us. If you need plants, or especially Christmas-related plants, this is the place right now -- they had a beautiful selection of trees, poinsettias, etc. in addition to annuals (as a Yankee, seeing snapdragons and pansies in November is real trip, let me tell you!). They also seem to have a ton of beautifully painted pottery. Overall, it did the job, and I would happily return here for any planting/outdoor needs.

This place is pretty cool. Apparently they do pumpkins in the fall but we came for a Christmas tree…read moreso I can only comment on that. First of all, it's smaller than I expected and hilly. Don't come here if you have trouble walking because it is a bit of a hike. It was very busy and we parked out by the road so we had to hike up the hill to get to where the trees were. They do have a wagon that will give you a free ride to some of the other trees and the reindeer. They only have two reindeer but I loved seeing them. They are pretty neat. The gift shop here is pretty impressive. It's not big but it's beautiful. Whoever set everything up did a fantastic job. They also have free hot chocolate and hot cider. The staff were very nice and helpful. The guy who put the tree on our car did a great job. The reason for three stars is the price of the trees as well as the fact that they didn't seem to have that many trees. Many we came on a bad day, I don't know. We were going to leave without but we wound up finding a tree on the porch outside the gift shop and since we were already there decided to buy it. However, it was eighty dollars. Ouch. I don't think we will be coming here next year.

My husband and I have gotten our Christmas tree here the last 4 years. They have options where you…read morecan cut down the type of trees they grow (they provide the saw) or pick out a tree they had brought in. We prefer the Frasier Fur, but they come from NC, so we don't get to do any sawing. You can either walk or ride the wagon to see the reindeer. Santa sometimes makes an appearance as well. Hot cider and cocoa are complimentary, and there are many Christmas decorations to peruse and contemplate purchasing while you're waiting to pay. We usually bring our dogs, but it can be quite muddy right after a rain. Tips: There is a porch and steep hill behind the building where you pay. Most people don't look there, and there's usually some pretty good trees. It gets super busy on the weekends, so don't go if you're in a rush Parking is very limited, so you may want to consider bringing a smaller vehicle that you can squeeze into a makeshift space We have so much fun here every year, and definitely plan on returning!
