This place is pretty cool. Apparently they do pumpkins in the fall but we came for a Christmas tree so I can only comment on that. First of all, it's smaller than I expected and hilly. Don't come here if you have trouble walking because it is a bit of a hike. It was very busy and we parked out by the road so we had to hike up the hill to get to where the trees were. They do have a wagon that will give you a free ride to some of the other trees and the reindeer. They only have two reindeer but I loved seeing them. They are pretty neat. The gift shop here is pretty impressive. It's not big but it's beautiful. Whoever set everything up did a fantastic job. They also have free hot chocolate and hot cider. The staff were very nice and helpful. The guy who put the tree on our car did a great job. The reason for three stars is the price of the trees as well as the fact that they didn't seem to have that many trees. Many we came on a bad day, I don't know. We were going to leave without but we wound up finding a tree on the porch outside the gift shop and since we were already there decided to buy it. However, it was eighty dollars. Ouch. My husband and I have gotten our Christmas tree here the last 4 years. They have options where you can cut down the type of trees they grow (they provide the saw) or pick out a tree they had brought in. We prefer the Frasier Fur, but they come from NC, so we don't get to do any sawing. You can either walk or ride the wagon to see the reindeer. Santa sometimes makes an appearance as well. Hot cider and cocoa are complimentary, and there are many Christmas decorations to peruse and contemplate purchasing while you're waiting to pay. We usually bring our dogs, but it can be quite muddy right after a rain. Tips: There is a porch and steep hill behind the building where you pay. Most people don't look there, and there's usually some pretty good trees. It gets super busy on the weekends, so don't go if you're in a rush Parking is very limited, so you may want to consider bringing a smaller vehicle that you can squeeze into a makeshift space We have so much fun here every year, and definitely plan on returning! read more

Went by a couple of weeks ago to look for a tree and they really don't have any larger trees if you're looking for one for an apartment or office space you will easily find a nice one here but if you want anything 8 to 10 feet you may want to go somewhere else. They do have some Douglasfir in that size but they are well over $200 and they aren't wrong locally so it's not quite the same experience as going and cutting your own down. I've seen in other peoples reviews where they had a bad experience with the old guy here and I usually was about taking pictures and when I went here I realized why it was an issue the place isn't really big and when it gets crowded there isn't much room for parking so if you have a photo shoot going on with 10 people in five cars it would definitely be a problem for his business. When you think about how many times he has addressed this issue it helped me realize why he might be a little sore about the whole thing. So to sum it up definitely good enough of a place to go get you a tree if you want a smaller one and don't mind paying more but for me and my needs it wasn't a good fit. read more

Never in my life have a left a place so mad and disrespected. (If there was a 0 star option I would have chosen that!) I had planned a fun day with my two and three year old niece and nephew. We went and saw the reindeer and played on the wooden slay they had. Next we went into the gift shop and bought some ornaments (since I wasn't planning on buying a tree I wanted to pay for something). We sipped on hot chocolate and apple cider then continued our fun. When we went outside again we were offered a tractor ride just for us! (We were some of the only people there) The Children loved the tractor ride. When we got off they found a pile of leaves and started to play in them. They were not being loud or rough at all. We were peaceful playing in the leaves when an old man walked up to us. He told me that I did not ask if I was allowed to take pictures and then proceeded to tell me to "get my kids and leave". I was astonished that he could be so cruel and ask me to leave like that. The kids cried the entire ride home and kept asking why we had to leave. I just responded with "I do not know" as I help back my tears. Long story short, I will never be coming back to this farm and am still mad and shaken up over the rudeness of this Christmas grinch! read more

This was the 4th year of our tradition and the magic is still there! From the reindeer to the hot chocolate and all of the trees inbetween, our family loves this place!! They are always so friendly, helpful and inviting... We will never get a tree from any other place again! We look forward to our hunt every year. We've cut our own tree, gotten a pre cut tree and (our favorite) gotten a potted tree to replant after Christmas! We have yet to be disappointed! read more

Last year was the first time we had gotten a real tree since I was a child. So we decided to take our 5 year old grandson to get a live tree, his first experience, since we thought we (he) would be cutting a tree down we took a small bow saw. The hill side is full of smaller trees, the lower area, has very tall, already cut trees and the top area has already cut 5' to 8' foot trees. We actually decided on an already cut 8' foot Frazier Fir, however, not to disappoint our grandson in the idea of cutting down a tree, the owner stood the tree up, while Austin sawed the tree down (or so he thought) and had him back up when the tree fell, he was very excited. There is a wagon that takes you around the farm, a large sleigh on a hillside you can make photos in and a small gift shop with hot chocolate. My 5 star rating comes from the quality of the tree, put the tree up the weekend after Thanksgiving and took down the week after Christmas, minimal pine needles fell off, the color and fresh smell never faded, took the tree to the woods behind my house and stood it up because it was still very pretty, lived another 3 months, a great experience after a fake tree for the past 30 years. Be sure to follow the instructions exactly as instructed. Just got our tree for this year, it is beautiful. read more

We decided to give this place a try because it was a lot closer than the tree farm we've been to in the past but we won't be going back. We arrived and just kind of wandered around for a bit before we finally found someone that could give us direction. The employees weren't wearing anything distinguishable so we had no idea who to ask. Once we picked out our tree and cut it down an employee showed up and was kind enough to drag it back for us. We walked down to see the reindeer and take pictures then we walked back to retrieve our tree. We asked an employee about our tree and they told us our tree wasn't ready yet so we waited. But then we realized multiple people were walking up and being helped and there was still no sign of our tree. Finally we asked again and it turns out our tree was sitting in a pile on the ground the whole time. They finally got our tree ready and kindly mounted it to our car and we took it home. Our tree was dead within two weeks. We tried to revive it to no avail. read more

My husband and I went in to get real wreaths and spoke to the sweet lady who makes them. I was told we would need to place an order since I needed 9 and it would take about a week. She took us to an office where she told another woman, which she referred to as the "boss lady", we needed to place an order. As she, "boss lady", walked out with an order sheet we told her we understood it would take a week and we wanted 9 of them. She rudely shook her head and hatefully said absolutely NO, no we can't place an order or do that many and turned her back to us and walked off, I wasn't asking for a 100 of them, just 9. I understand it is 4 weeks before Christmas and it's a busy time of year but she never even explained herself she literally just turned her back to us as I was speaking. I have never been treated so rude by a business, especially this time of year! Keep in mind, the lady who actually makes the wreaths said she would be happy to make them for us if I was willing to wait a week, which she did beautiful work and I agreed, but "boss lady" would not let her. If she treats her customers this way, I cannot imagine how she treats her employees. I will NEVER refer a friend or family to this place of bad business. If you want a fun good experience for a Christmas tree for you and your family I would NOT suggest going here, hateful and rude people run this place. read more

We ordered a tree from Pine Hill and it was dead and as dry as a bone within 4 days of delivery. We did everything we were told to do to keep healthy looking but to no avail. It's obvious now that we were sold a tree that had been cut many weeks ago and was in very poor quality when we received. When we contacted the farm they told us to bad that once delivered it was our issue. We had used farm in the past for delivered lighted trees so this quality and poor response was very disappointing. We could have purchased a tree from many others and will certainly shop elsewhere in the future for a provider who stands behind their product. Very poor quality and customer care. read more
