Since it's Dining week, we got the fixed menu of appetizer, main course, ​and dessert. The appetizer was lamb carpaccio with salty lemon and parmesan. It's a clear winner for me since I'm a huge fan of carpaccio, anything carpaccio that is. The main course was grilled monkfish that was divine. It's amazing how such an ugly fish can be so delicious! The dessert was chocolate mousse with crumbles and mandarin/blood​ orange ice on top. It was also excellent. As it turned out there weren't many for this location as they had just recently opened. Their 'sister' restaurants in Sweden, though, had quiet a few reviews, most all stellar. Though there is a formal street side entrance for the Boston Grill Mayfair, it is actually the restaurant for the Hotel Mayfair and shares a common patio with the hotel. If you enter from the street, they greet you at the entrance and escort you back past the bar to their main dinning area. It was still a bit early by European standards, so the dinning areas were sparse with customers. OK by us though as the service was prompt and attentive. As planned, I ordered the rib-eye, but not as planned, they offered a larger cut which was 'suitable for sharing' which is exactly what we did. They split the sides in the kitchen on two separate plates and let us carve out our own portions of the main course. It was cooked just to our order, tender and juicy. One of the best rib-eye's I've had in awhile. I would definitely recommend it!

Everyone around us was served water, given menus and a description of what was available. Finally, a server came by to take our order, apologized for us not having menus nor water. I requested tap water, so I was surprised to be charged 30krone per carafe. Food: Every item shows technical proficiency and attention to detail. We ordered the schnitzel. It came with a small serving of fresh peas, cream, horseradish and a brown butter sauce. It was delicious. I would have liked more horseradish and peas. The sautéed leeks were served with salad greens and hard to cut. They tasted fine, but a sharper knife would have been appreciated; through our meal, no one came by. We also tried the hake. It looked small, but was very filling.
