When I tried to have a more reasonable mobile mechanic fix my truck, I was told I couldn't have repairs done on their lot and was forced to move to a side road while in distress. Over priced, lady at the front act she doesn't know the daily prices of having a truck in the possession, just so they can up the prices when they want. Prices are usually placed up so everyone can see. They don't care about your belongings just about the money, which is common now a days. Be careful and if you get another tow company then do so. After running out of skill and blowing a turn, I found myself hung up on a tree very close to a steep drop-off. By all accounts - this SHOULD have been a very dangerous recovery given the precarious way my truck was teetering on a ledge. Rick and his crew arrived in short order, and securely rigged the front and rear of the truck to a BEAST of a recovery wrecker known as "Black Betty". The slowly and securely dragged my 6000lb truck back up the gravel slope and back on to the roadway without leaving so much as a scratch on her. Seriously, it was impressive to watch and immediately clear that Rick has TONS of years experience doing this sort of thing. I've got Murphy's in my phone on speed dial now - I hope I never find myself in that situation again but if I do, there is no question who'd I call. read more

Murphys tow saved my life and got us a new tire in our way to the Grand Canyon. However this was after we were forced to wait for 5 hours because a man by the name of Steve either did not want to help us or was unfamiliar with what he was doing. We caught a flat tire after hitting a pot hole at 4am and Steve after making us call law enforcement to tell him the exact freeway marker we were on even though we were right off the freeway with our hazards on in pitch black 7 mins away from the shop told us he did not have a tire for our 228i stock rim. Not 30inch rims... stock. To later find out at 8:30-9 am that the shop actually had 3 tires for us. Then not to mention it took over an hour to change one tire lol read more

Driver complained about my car, said he wished they were illegal to drive because they're I guess hard to tow. Misunderstanding between my insurance and the towing company, so when he first arrived he was prepared to change a tire, not tow. Told me to call the insurance back and drove away, rather than let me call them and get it straightened out on the spot, so it took some time to get him back. I get it, kind of, but also we were on the side of the road in the middle of nowhere and getting dark. Didn't wear a mask. read more

It was about 9 p.m. If your stating that your 24 hours then you should provide service 24 hours. Not leave people hanging in the middle of the night in the side of the road. Several years ago my husband hit an elk on I-40. He managed to drive it back to my job, bit the windshield was smashed, the entire drivers door crushed, broken headlight and bashed in hood. My husband had to be taken to hospital by ambulance due to glass in his eyes and face. Called my insurance company to get it towed from Williams to Ash Fork. This was at midnight. My insurance company could not get a hold of Murphys towing even though they claim 24hr towing. They would not answer their phone. Ended up having a tow company from Flag (Am/Pm) come and get me my daughter and son in law. Most honest locals know this place is a rip off. I was warned about them 20+ years ago. I was trying it about 4 miles down the road on the highway on the 40 E. I was pulling my enclosed trailer when my axle snap the tire hub and the drum broke off this happened at about 2 AM I went online and found that Murphy's is a 24 hour company however other truckers were sleeping I want able to attend as to about 8:30 or 9 AM so I'm confused on the 24 hour part of their marketing promoting a 24hour service Phone after explaining our situation to dispatch they said they would have someone out as early as 8 AM to assist us with our trailer I sent him pictures of the broken axle and a flat front tire of my double axle trailer to make sure they sent the right truck to tow us to their shop They said the guy in the regular truck the guy literally parked by my trailer early morning didn't take longer than 10 minutes to realize he wasn't gonna be able to even chain it up we wait another hour before a bigger tow truck showed up I finally got us up on the flatbed trailer I took it to the shop when we arrive to Murphy's towing shop we were acknowledged by the front desk receptionist who gave us horrible customer service and treated us like we were not important when we asked to see if what we can do next about our situation she had a really bad attitude when we asked for the receipt for the bill of the towing it came up to $995 which was completely insane and we were charged a service fee for the first guy that showed up to do absolutely nothing they were trying to charge us for the training and spares of this service which was not even done we ended up having to pay everything and pulling a trailer out of there going to a different company down the street they take care of us at Patriot Automotive &truck repair I'd advise people to be careful going through this company they do charge you an arm and a leg feel that the service is worth a lot more than what should be there for towing only a few miles down the road if you don't want to pay close to $1000 for a simple tow for a trailer please Make sure to ask what they're going to quote you on this service before you get to the shop because then you're stuck and I have to pay their fees read more

I was going to use my Geico roadside assistance but it would only allow 2 passengers in the tow truck and I could not leave my other 2 boys on the side of the road so we got a hold of Murphy's. They picked us up in 30 minutes and then when we reached Ashfork, The tow truck took us to a truck stop and we had refreshments while waiting for the tire repair. My rim was bent but the technician made it so it could be fixed. the shop fixed my tire and we were on our way. Small blip in our vacation that had a lot of value as it showed my young sons how to handle a situation like this. I would highly recommend this place. due to severe road conditions between Seligman and Ash fork my vehicle suffered damage (like many others that day) and needed a tow from Seligman to Chino Valley. I was puzzled when the driver stated after loading me up that he needed to stop for fuel. More than half was needed for one tank and the other was empty. Both were filled at what would be at my expense since it was obvious this outfit could not afford to keep truck fueled up. I could not believe how a company would operate by taking advantage of a person and ripping off Americans. First, I was not the person towed. It was my daughter and her cousin's husband on their way to New Mexico to pick up my other daughter. The worst phone call I got on the night of the 31st of December, while I was at work "Mom, I'm ok, but...", My heart jumped into my throat. My daughter experienced black ice, something not really an issue here in So. Cal. Panicking, the conditions were snowy, black ice and on I-40 far enough away from Flagstaff but sort of close to Williams. I was frantic on the computer as she was reassuring me she was ok. "Wait mom, tow truck is here, I will call you back". Longest time of my life. My daughter might be 24, but she is still my baby and I was helpless to help her at that moment. A while later I got the call that "Matt", the driver of the tow truck loaded the truck up and got them both into Williams at the Red Roof Inn. I could relax. They were safe. Gave a one bc they did the job, but hear the story as me & Jason are the cats. They don't sell used tires & she's responded with lies. Towed after blowout in Ash Fork, Arizona on I-40W to a business that we googled advertising 24 hrs a day and new & used tires. Thinking we were blessed 5 min. away bc it was hot! My son asked the driver a question of how his day was going. Driver didn't respond. Jason apologized for having to get us. No response. Arrive at shop with same 24 hour new & used sign. Failing to mention they don't sell used tires. & they were closed. This important info came out in the end when they decided to let us have the honest part of the conversation because they were doing us "a favor." I thought we were doing business. While outside, I found a chair in the shade to sit on the side of their business. The owner came out and instead of being a lady & speaking like a woman that thrives on our misfortunes, asked us, "What are you doing here?" There was no before words, there were no after. There was no comeback as words used incorrectly can be saved. She could've said, "Can I help you? We're closed, but you're welcome to seat yourselves inside. It's mighty hot. Make yourselves comfortable out here. She could have even smiled. Strangely a thin cat walked up. He had tags. Have your own pet disappear for a week and you run out trying to save them all. I recognized that maybe he was either lost or wasn't being fed properly as he seemed to know the scattered wood to scratch his nails on and the chair to lay up and curlkittyball it. I asked the female if this was her cat with a response of "Yeah, we have a few of them. They keep the rats away." Keep in mind, I'm a city girl but know of different ways of life & am open minded. There aren't enough rats around for my new friend. This taking place as their handsome well groomed, well fed, blue eyed dog came up to me. When asking a female worker and the tow truck driver for prices, no one knew. Each one directing us to the other. We were charged 100 for the tow. 45 for the hook up fee. 45 for installing the tire. 180 for a $50-70$ Cooper tire. Minds blown but understanding that this particular stretch of highway in Ash Fork is littered in blown tire shreds. Drive through, drone image pictures, view for yourself this eerily misfortuned area of many travelers that encounter the same fate. I drove my son from Austin, Texas because I live in Las Vegas & he is to start a new life with his newly pregnant gf. We were tired but not confrontational. My son is not violent and wanted to know why so expensive. Driver got confrontational and when asked why all those separate fees, states "Well, it's not illegal." No. It's what crooks charge. We were led inside to the office where a small cozy lobby and a sign with all the fees they charge that are listed in all its dry erase marker multicolored glory shined out upon my face. It was glorious. You should witness the mass of fees upon glorious fees! It took maybe 5 min. to pay because their computer didn't function, after swiping multiple times, locks out my son's card & they seemed to be training the new girl that I predict is hired to deal with the upset customers that spot when they got scammed. I had to move money around in my accounts online and doing so on my phone under the pressure of being tired, being frustrated, having to calm the driver down and to diffuse his fire. It was a scene from the recent movie of a karaoke party bus beginning their journey that breaks down......(someone help me with the movie title). Tow truck driver comes out to fix a engine belt & rips them off all while being crazy. I plead to the city & anyone that wants to run a tire shop in this area....give people kindness and honesty and you will run the Murphys out of the world. Listen to her response and witness how ladylike and business savvy she is. Read all the negatives and see the common thread. They're rude and mean. End of story. We made it home. He's in Stockton to visit his gf so that he can return to Las Vegas to find their new home bc a baby is coming. I have to teach my grandchildren that in this world there are people that either treat you as their cat or their dog when they choose who to feed & who not to feed. Thankfully there are people that do exist that have both cats & dogs & treat them all equally. Yet while I was there, the way they treated us, I for that one moment in time doubted my existence and wished that with their beautiful eyes that they saw me as a dog but walk away knowing I'm a cat lover even more so but I love my dogs just as much. BLUF: Check Engine light, loss of power, glided into the station. Yvonne and Ricky got my part and I did the repair since he was swamped with work on an early Saturday morning. They charged me a fair delivery price to run back to Williams and return with the precise ignition coil that I needed, and were able to provide a backup option should I have had to stay until Monday. I think this family owned and operated shop is one of the most honest places to stop. I got a chance while waiting for the part to see how customers interacted with Ricky (head down within a car using his diagnostic program on a laptop) and he was patient with everyone who stopped by, even with one lady who unfairly screamed at him about a tire problem. He shook off her comments and continued with his repair, unfazed. The waiting room is clean and comfortable, nice and cool on a hot day with plush leather chairs and the filling station nearby has plenty of sodas and ice if that's what you need. When you are at the mercy of other people's ethics, that's when you truly understand the impact that a good principled business will have. I was able to talk to Ricky and I asked him if he wanted to do the part replacement and he told me, "It's your car, if you want to do it I can just run the part for you and charge you a delivery fee." The fee and the part cost were fair and I was only off the road about two hours. I hired Millennium Transport Corp. to enclose trailer my 1957 Thunderbird from Laughlin, Nevada to Flagstaff, Arizona. The trip was for the Thunderbird Concours. The car was to be picked up on a Wednesday and delivered on Thursday for the Friday morning show. Without going into detail, Millennium didn't come close to fulfilling their contract nor did they contact me to let me know they couldn't pick up the Bird. I was frantic. I called all around but nobody wanted to drive to Laughlin and back Thursday afternoon. Enter Murphy's and Mr. Matt Quinn. Matt left Ash Fork, Arizona at approximately 4:00 p.m. Thursday. He drove to Laughlin. He picked up the T'Bird then drove back to Flagstaff arriving at 12:20 Friday morning. He was as careful with the Baby Bird as I would have been. He's also a damn nice guy. Matt and Murphy's saved the day. The Bird took top honors. Matt picked up the Little Lady and returned her to the Laughlin museum on Saturday. Matt was continually in touch with us.
