My mother and I have been here 5 times in the past year. We wanted an alternative to giant clinic experience as mom is elderly and the three different desks with long walks to check in and leave (and such) was getting too confusing. Mary and Dr. Kupferer are both kind and not rushed. Easier to be seen. We had a long wait one day, because Mary was out with Covid, but Dr. K made us feel like we were his only patients. Dr. Kupferer was recommended to us by a current patient. When I called to request an appointment for my sick husband I was bluntly informed that I had to come in and fill out paperwork before even being allowed to schedule an appointment, followed even more bluntly that doctor was not taking new patients if they needed opioids. I was then treated to the tale of how this woman's son and grandson both had curvature of the spine and her grandson is a wrestler. Meanwhile my husband is coughing so hard he's passing out. In spite of her rudeness I got my husband in the car and made the almost one hour drive to the office. I asked if there was a chance my husband could be seen that day she flippantly informed us that doctor wasn't even in the office. I commented that that would have been nice to know when I called. She quite derisively replied that I hadn't asked. I admit that in my frustration I snipped that I didn't realize I had to ask and turned to help my husband back to the car. On our way out she made sure we heard her sarcastic verbal parting shot, "Nice." It doesn't matter how wonderful the doctor may be when the office staff act as if they're doing you a favor by deigning to speak at you. read more
