I purchased my dog for $ 2.200 dollars and I can't register my yellow lab , because my registration form was never filled out by the breeder Murrayville kennels correctly.When we purchased are dog he said he will send a new one out because the form was never filled out correctly. I'm missing a pin # , so I can't register my dog for ACK. I reached out to Rick to let him know after we purchased our dog on 7/9/2025 a week later ,Rick said he been behind and will mail a new form out. Well here it is months later and still no paperwork. I guess he saw me coming well it time for Murrysvilles Kennel will be hearing from my lawyer already taking place. I will be talking to you soon RICK!!!!!! Fake breeder!!! N.H. Agriculture Dept. removed kennel license for extended period of time for multiple infractions. Dogs are housed in shelters out doors with minimal comforts in puppy mill fashion . S.P.C.A. has been called and has investigated several times in years past and claimed Rick offers only basic care for his dogs required by state and S.P.C.A. laws.I have lived across from this poorly run kennel since it's beginning and witnessed what I have stated . read more

Purchased a Red Fox Lab from this "breeder" 2 years ago. Found the dog intelligent; easily trained; and well natured. PROBLEM: Pup was recently diagnosed with a 4th degree heart murmur from a reputable vet facility in Portsmouth NH. After echocardiogram, Vet strongly believed the condition developed from "questionable breeding practice." Rick's initial paperwork stated "clear of any cardiac issues." Go elsewhere to purchase your lab. Now we are heartbroken and awaiting the inevitable passing of our beloved puppy. read more

I have to disagree with the previous reviews. Murrayville doesn't look like some sleek and modern facility. It's a small operation, but they care about their dogs and the breed itself. I got my yellow Lab in late 2019 after looking around for an American Lab pup for pet and upland hunting. (I initially had looked for a rescue dog through various agencies, but I was shocked at what so many of the shelters pawn off as a "Lab", basically any black dog, and most of them had the pointy ears of pit bulls). Rick had carefully explained what he looks for in a Lab and what he avoids. My female Lab just turned two, and she's beautiful. She would score pretty well on the old AKC standard (before they adopted the English Lab line as the model). As a young hunter she learns well and can run all day. Her best day involves running in the woods and crashing for a nap on the couch next to me. Most important, though, she's awesome with my two toddler grandkids. read more

this Felt very much like a puppy mill. Multiple dogs bred at the same time, mamma dogs being removed from their babies far too soon, adult labs all over the property in fences and crates. No agreements to return dog to breeder if things don't work out, like he doesn't care what happened to the dogs. please find a more reputable breeder, or better yet rescue. We got our yellow lab from Murrayville Kennels. He is by far the best dog we have ever had. I have MS and without any training when I call for my husband to help me he runs and gets him and barks at him and goes back to where I am. This is the 5th lab we have had from Murrayville Kennels and they have all been very loving companions. read more

My late wife bought me one of Murrayville's pups from their Dec. 2005 litter. Yes, he is still with me after 14 and a half years. Sadly, in the last few months he has developed myelopathy, so I fear he will be leaving me soon. That is why I want to write this now. We named him Toby and I cherish every moment that he has been my best furry friend ! Not only has he lived a full life, but his recent illness is the first major ailment he has had. As for confirmation, his only flaw from the breed standard is a curly tail, which I find delightful. He is a glorious AKC registered Black Labrador. I cannot say enough about what a joy Toby is. Anyone who purchases one of Rick's labs will be in for a long and heartwarming experience. read more
