My child has witnessed--and unfortunately been affected by--multiple incidents of physical fights on campus, some of which were barely addressed by staff. It's alarming how common these altercations are, and how little follow-up there seems to be. We expected a safe and supportive environment for learning, but instead found ourselves constantly worried about our child's well-being. When we brought up concerns to administration, the response felt dismissive and reactive rather than proactive. This school desperately needs stronger leadership when it comes to campus safety, clear policies around bullying, and more supervision during breaks and passing periods. Students should feel protected and valued, not scared to go to school. If I could give 0 stars I absolutely would.

The teachers have been wonderful, staff is kind and helpful, and the families are great. Mesa is a young school compared to the others in our district/valley. Our sports programs have been gaining momentum, as it normally takes time to do for a newer school. Mesa is all about students discovering their passion and taking the steps to get there in life. I truly feel the teachers and staff at Mesa take care of the students as a whole person, not just academically. Mesa has heart. We are a family, and with a school mascot as a ram, we often call ourselves a "Ramily". Students are encouraged to get involved in activities, sports, programs, and clubs to experience as much as they can in high school. Block scheduling allows for more time per subject in a class period which really helps for effective instruction time, as well as time for students to manage homework and after school activities. The campus is beautiful and clean. Feels more like a small college campus rather than a high school. The students take pride in keeping it nice. My husband and I visited all of the other high schools in the valley before sending our first child to Mesa. We are very happy with our choice and are proud to have our children attend Murrieta Mesa High School.

As far as the front office staff is concerned, I've had to pull my 8th grader out every other month for orthodontist appointments since 6th grade and I've never had a problem. Sounds like the logistics and some of the personal problems of some of these parents might be causing issues for the school so a little push back is taken as rudeness. I'm reality, they're doing their best to make sure the kids are safe and secure. This is my son's final year at Bella Vista (6th grade was full COVID, distance learning) and he's excelled academically. He went in with straight A's from elementary school, started in advanced classes, and has maintained his excellent grades. The teachers are reasonable and firm with expectations based in realism - face it, they're working with freakin' pre-teens and young teens - terrible job in my opinion but glad they are there doing their best for my son everyday. My daughter will gladly go to Bella Vista after another year of elementary school because big brother has had such a positive experience.

They chose not to be by calling and canceling their mid-review. None of the children have accreditations. If anyone would like more information please let me know. Furthermore, Sherry Marino was instructed by Mical Bell Andrews to not allow my son, that has known health issues, to go to the health room or call home when he was ill. This was brought to my attention by employees and I have declarations from several faculty. My son suffers from chronic stomach issues and was witnessed sitting through his lunch AND recess with his head on the table in pain after being refused to go to the health room. This school is horrible and nobody seems to want to talk about. I will not be quiet about the continued abuse these poor children are experiencing. When I addressed these issues I was met by a noncaring board member named Jennifer Bursch that could care less about the abuse my son had been through. Her emails were cruel and denying without any concern whatsoever for the truth or facts. I am beside myself at the non Christlike actions of this school and their board of directors. This school has done nothing but deteriorate since Mical Bell was allowed to reside as principal.
