The architectural details with concrete and MCM inspired wooden accents are just perfect. The staff were knowledgeable and helpful, and definitely added to our experience, and the gift shop is great. The restaurant is excellent and has a thoughtful menu, with several items that are inspired by pieces from the permanent collection. The sports art exhibit took much more space than I would have liked. There is a LOT of money in Miami, and I would have expected a permanent collection or even visiting exposition that would rival museums in New York, Philadelphia, or Washington, DC. - modern art, Impressionism, renaissance, or other fine art would be incredible. That being said, I will definitely return to enjoy the museum, and look forward to seeing where their artistic directors take things in years to come!

I went with a friend and honestly? We had a really nice time. Was it the most mind-blowing experience of my life? No. But did I enjoy myself and appreciate what it was trying to do? Absolutely. People are so used to museums being paintings on walls and sculptures you quietly stare at while pretending to understand symbolism. Meanwhile Superblue is over here saying, "What if the art moved? What if it reacted to you? What if the room itself made you feel something?" And honestly... why does moving art get less respect sometimes? Art doesn't have to sit still to matter. Some of the installations genuinely made me pause for a second. The laser Lightroom in the mirror room were must have in your home probably. Haha. The lights, the sounds, the movement... it reminded me that art is not always meant to just be looked at. Sometimes it's meant to be felt in your chest. As someone who makes music, I understand how important atmosphere is. The way color, sound, and motion work together can pull emotion out of you without saying a single word. We stayed about an hour and a half to two hours and I actually found myself wishing there was more. Which is funny because at the same time I was also like, "Okay... I get it." But the creative in me wanted more rooms, more experiences, more emotional chaos to walk through dramatically. Some parts made me want to redesign my entire future house and turn random rooms into interactive art installations. Imagine walking into someone's bathroom and suddenly there's fog, violins, and moving projections on the walls. That's where my brain went. Would I go again? Maybe. Once or twice feels worth it. Three times? At that point I might just commission one of the artists and stare at moving lights in my own living room for free snacks and less parking stress. Overall though, shout out to artists who create moving and immersive art because it really is a beautiful art form that deserves more recognition. I will say, the grounds are absolutely delightful, especially if you go in the Springtime as we did where flowers are all in full bloom, that alone is worth the ticket price. The architecture is exquisite! A feast for the eyes in so many ways. When we came to visit, they were doing renovations. You could see the water damage on the roof and walls, probably caused by one of the many Summer storms, because of that the tickets were at a discount that day but we were still able to appreciate the beauty of Viscaya. There are two cafe's. One in the garden of the main house, and another across the street where farm animals use to be kept. Surprisingly, the food and drinks are reasonably priced. The day we were there, a wedding was going to take place and there was a lot of commotion going on. Fancy tables being set up, fine china, crystal glasses, the whole works. We asked a security guard how much it costs to have a wedding reception there and he said: "Just to rent the space, no tables, no nothing, starting price is 100k". So if you have 100k lying around, and plan to get married soon, this could be an option for you. Jokes aside though; I'd definitely visit again.

The boys really wanted to see the dinosaurs and the museum houses a small exhibit. there were many options for the kids to interact with throughout the museum and they came away with big smiles. As an adult, I wished the museum were laid out differently to enhance the flow from one exhibit to the next. Easy access both inside and outside. Ramps between floors and elevators made access with wheel chairs and strollers easy. Parking is relatively expensive but leaving the car at home and taking Brightline made that part exciting for the kids and more relaxing for me.

There was so much to see, I actually had to take a lunch break and come back. A total dream getting to stand inches away from that kind of craftsmanship. It was well curated and immersive. Every room had a different scent. The gallery attendants were all super friendly and knowledgeable. Apparently they are trained by the Dolce group directly. Highly recommend, check it out!

As far as the museum, it occupies two floors. The ground floor had a Kama Sutra sandbox bed (with art engraved on the bed posts). There were also a few engravings as well as a live music show as part of the pub crawl. The second floor of the museum had mostly books and paintings.

I came with a group of friends and we purchased our tickets online in advance and each adult ticket was about $56. They require time slots to ensure the exhibits are not over crowded at any point in time which we realized was very helpful while we were there. Once we entered the convention center, we made the line and were led into the first room and from then on we were able to walk into each next room at our own pace which was nice because we weren't being rushed despite the time slots on our tickets. There was at least one attendant in each room where the art exhibit was not meant to be touched or stood on. There were so many interesting photo and video opportunities throughout the exhibit. Which was awesome, but experiencing it is completely different (videos and pictures are not as fun. Some of the installations are interactive and of course this is a family friendly exhibit so that is something to keep in mind as there were a lot of children present and at moments it was very loud and rowdy. My only complaint is that the only way to get to the bathroom was either way the very beginning or very end of the experience, so if you needed to use the bathroom halfway through, you would have to walk through the entire museum to get to the restroom. At the very end there is a gift shop where they had tons of balloon art, toys and cute trinkets for purchase. They also had a seating area and a cafe with some sandwiches, pastries and refreshments. Overall a cool experience and I would recommend this to anyone with children, or someone looking for a cute date idea.
