Do Not Use This Company! Their license was suspended April 17, 2023 just found this out today. BEWARE There was negligence in packing the truck after instructions were given about not placing items such as Sewing cabinet / table with electric lift on its side along with any other items with wheels. They failed to secure the electric lift thus shearing right off with the pressure of the furniture item being on its side. Blankets weren't used and my white bed frame was gashed and filled with grease. The fabric was torn on my sewing chair back from improper placement in moving truck. We used Ernestine's company, Muscles for moving to pack our home to move our belongings from California to Arizona. She failed to even call us and wouldn't give us her insurance carrier and still haven't received it. information read more

We need a very heavy sofa moved up two flights of stairs and Muscles for moving did a great job!! Justin & Jose showed up on time and made quick work of the job. I made several calls to the larger companies, some of the smaller ones too, to come to Hidden Valley Lake and pick up the last of my deceased parent's odds and ends in the final clean-up. I was only there for the day and there was still quite a mess to bag and stage in the garage to pick-up. Muscles called me within minutes of my message, but I had already booked a larger service that said they covered the area. The owner of Muscles was really friendly and said to call her if it fell through with the other company. The other company did not show and I called them. They said they left a message that HVL was actually not in their service area. I received no such message and was left back to the drawing board on finding a service. I called Muscles and left a message and was called back within minutes. The owner said that they had time that afternoon and quoted me lower than the large service. They showed up on time, cleared everything out and reported back to me when it was done. I paid through Venmo, note credit cards have a 3% surcharge, that the owner informed me about. I sent the $ on my debit card. Going through the process of finding services like, locksmiths, yard trimming and carpet cleaning is always difficult to find for that location. I have been very lucky in finding great small businesses that will come out, are reliable and willing to work with me remotely. However, it takes work to find them! There is not a whole lot of reviews, so I rely on responsiveness and professionalism when I speak with them. My criteria has yet to steer me wrong! If you live in the HVL area or Santa Rosa, Clearlake, Middletown or surrounding areas, I found a real gem for moving, hauling and clean-up services, that is reliable, offers affordable rates and are very professional. I was recommended to this company by a friend & they really had a great experience. Well I didn't have one. I called the owner to schedule a time & everything sounded great. Well they showed up at the wrong place & he said I'll be right there. By the time I hug up my husband loaded up the truck & didn't need them. So I called before they got to the right place & said I'm so sorry but I don't need you. He got pissed . She told me that by law I have to pay her men. So I did but 1/2. I never signed anything. My husband and I reached out to Muscles for Moving to help us dispose of boxes, packing materials, recycling, and compost that we had collected during the process of moving into our new home and the 2019 holidays. We had filled up our entire two-car garage! When we found Muscles for Moving on Yelp, Ernestine was very responsive and helpful. She responded to me within the times that she said she would, with the necessary details and requests to make it easy to book with her and set up logistics. On the day of the appointment, Ernestine was communicative and timely. She and her team arrived right on time, were incredibly professional, respectful, and personable. They had us cracking up! They got started right away after we assessed the sitaution, and they taught us about what they could take and couldn't. We were pleasantly surprised that they could take everything that we needed help with. We had buckets of rocks and old trash cans from the previous owner, and Ernestine's team was able to take them to reuse and recycle. We feel good about where she took all of our junk, knowing that she would reuse and recycle as much as she could. Ernestine is creative and resourceful, using junk removal as just one part of many ways that she connects people and things to reduce waste. I am a retired events planner and my husband is a retired contractor, so we know good planning, quick reflexes, hard work and a "can do" attitude when we see it. Muscles for Moving has it all. We had a two-day, two-location truck loading booked with them, and it went smoothly and on time both days. The owner Ernestine is professional, thorough, and fast to respond to calls and texts. Her prices are not only fair market prices,for the *top quality service* you get, they are quite a bargain. Her right hand man Jose M. is fast, friendly, energetic, and understands that packing a truck tight is a lot like playing Tetris. He took direction well. We had no room wasted in that vehicle when he was done with it. Art K. was a delight to work with. As big as a tree and as patient as a rock, he was a great asset to the team. I could hand him things that had to be put in multiple places from the house to the truck, and he could keep it all straight.
