They immediately email me a copy of my certificate too. Great service, efficient communication and a really easy way to replace your windshield. I highly recommend them for service! Marilyn Jones

On June 30 (Tues) I made an appt online for July 3 (Fri) to have Safelite come to my house to…read morereplace my windshield in my 98 town car. Decent price with the premium package with the rain repellant and new wipers. Cool they sent the confirmation email and everything. Fast forward to July 2nd (Thursday) the day before. Safelite calls and says I need to come into the shop because my car is a "high risk" job because it is so many years old. They don't tell you that on the commercial. They offer the next available appt which is Mon. I told him I'll be at work can we do it on Fri (July 10)? He said yes. Ok thank you. Everything is good up to this point. So I actually showed up about 20 mins early. (Had other appointments that day). They went on and took my keys took it in the back and got to work. Great fast service. Got there early and they started early. Next thing I know 330 my car coming out and they say I'm good to go. Great. The guy at the front desk gave me the spill. No car wash no pressure washer easy driving ect for 3 days. Normal rain should be ok. Cool. So I drive home and park the car under the carport. It sat there till July 14 (Tues) when I started running around for my mini vacation with my son that week. This is when I noticed my rubber seal lifting. So while I'm out I stopped by Safelite and let them know about it. It's under warranty why not? The main guy at the front desk move someone else's car that happened to be parked next to mine. He happened to look at my lifted seal. . He finishes up doing what he's doing and comes back in and assists me. We set up an appointment July 24 (Fri) due to me being out of town the previous week. He stated if I don't hear no wind coming in it shouldn't be leaking and it's just cosmetic. Ok cool. Fast forward to July 23 even after I received reminder email the same day and even a reminder call about my appointment. I receive a call and a text this same location stating that my windshield isn't under warranty due to some silicon that was put above the window. Silicone that was put there years ago. He states it is policy that they refuse windows that have any type of adhesive as such but the tech didn't see it until my window was out so they had to finish the job but has notated it in the note section on the receipt. Now the lead tech and location manager has determined my vehicle has no warranty. When asked why wasn't I told about this when the job was first done? The answer was "I don't know". I also asked why wasn't I told this when I set up the warranty appointment? The answer was "I don't look at the work orders till 24 hours before". 1) If they aren't suppose to work on a vehicle with any type of adhesive/silicone. The tech failed to do his pre inspection. He would have seen this and the job shouldn't have been done. 2) My completed receipt that was emailed to me and also handed to me has zero notes from the technician stating anything about silicone and voided warranty. Unlike what was stated to me. 3) There is a major lack of communication at this location. Apparently it ain't just me from what I see online. If there was a problem it should have been stated from the first day. When he was working on it. Not even when he was done. Now I'm stuck with my rubber trimming coming off the top corner of my window. To me it looks like they did a poor job and now my car visibly suffers but they don't get paid from it so they try to find a way to avoid doing double work. Great job Safelite. Use them at your own risk.

    The Glass Guru of Columbus

Workmanship matches customer service. Horrible…read more I've never been upset enough to take the time to negatively review a business and there are a lot of businesses here in Columbus that deserve it so I hope all that read this take this seriously. If the person I spoke to this morning didn't talk to me like I was ineffectual and not worth her time, I might have waited for them to make this right. I highly doubt they will. Purchased a screen door for $80 dollars. Came home to find a hole in it and that it wasn't even installed. Customer service who answered "Glass Guru" told me shouldn't be an issue since they didn't charge an install fee. I guess the $80 I was quoted and paid out of pocket didn't include slapping that onto the track or without a hole. She told me I can come by and get a new screen. Great, an errand. Thanks! It gets better though. Per approval of the landlord: Glass was replaced on sliding doors. They said the previous contractor/competitor did a bad job, but they would do it right. However, the glass now moves on both doors with the push of a finger. I'm not sure what they meant by "doing it right", but I do know it isn't supposed to do that. They also left caulk all over the door. Guess it wasn't worth their time to clean it. The woman who answers the phone for them was upset I called to complain about this on the weekend, however SHE is the one who answered the phone. She then said to text or email and hung up, which I did with pictures and video. Although I did as requested, this must have annoyed her further because she had to tell me it was Saturday, it was her day off, and in her mind I guess I have nothing better to do. She replied with text saying not to call them, but have my leasing company do it. It quickly became apparent that even with evidence of piss-poor workmanship forwarded over to them, they only talk to the people paying the bill, not the people living there. As if there should be any cost of service to fix what should have been done right the first time. I told her I would contact my leasing agency as well as Facebook, google reviews, and Yelp. She wondered why I would post a negative review when all they did was follow the work order. I considered this for a split second, but in all honesty I don't think the work order stated: " install new glass so that the door handle moves when shutting and the glass panel moves to the touch. Please put hole in screen and do not install." It is evident this company does not care about the quality of their work. It is also obvious that they do not respect people renting vs. home ownership and their chstomer service is non-existent or is only available to the highest paying jobs. I don't install glass. But I do know that it should not move in the frame of the door. I don't answer the phone to reply to customers for my business, but I do know how to talk to people, accept fault, and ensure that the mistake I made will be corrected. Basically, I was taught no matter what your job is, do the best you can and your best better be right. This life lesson was lost on this company. Take your service elsewhere.
