Area for smaller babies

We love the Muse!! We have been going for about a year. Every time we go you will see staff busy at work resetting play areas for the kids, picking up toys that need sanitized, with friendly faces the whole time. We love the playground outside that allows the kids to have both inside and outside play time. It can be quite crowded on weekends and summer time, but we still have so much fun every time!

I homeschool my two boys and we have come to this place several times over the years. It's a really nice children's hands on center next to the Knoxville zoo. So the location is convenient if you want to spend some time inside and then head to the zoo for an outside activity. The prices aren't bad ($10 for general admission and $5 for senior citizens and military personnel). The staff have always been friendly and helpful whenever we have visited. There are a number of centers and things for children to do, but now that my boys are a little older (8 and 10), there aren't as many things to keep them entertained as the majority of the activities are for younger children. We still have had fun and made some great memories here but we are reaching the age where we have out grown the center.

I had a blast here... I mean my son had a blast here! There are games and activities for all ages. We walked in and an a Muse Expert greeted us at the door. She went over the guidelines and sprayed our shoes down with a non-toxic solution. We had our temperature taken and were directed to wash our hands before entering the play area. They converted office space into a dimly lit activity room with colorful lights. We really enjoyed that room! There is only one family at a time allowed in the room. A Muse showed us how to do activities. She was very social and friendly. The Muse was a ton of fun and very educational. We could have easily spent another two hours at this interactive museum. They host birthday parties and have other host other cool events during the wer

This is a great place to take young children to play and become creative. The staff was supper nice and very pleasant. The staff was trying to keep the place nice and clean but we all know that kids can make things messy fast! The is a ton of stuff for kids that involve sensory. It was busy but the kids had fun. There was a wait to get in so come prepared to wait or play on the playground. Make sure to get on the waitlist.

The first thing you will notice when entering is the COVID safety procedures. This place has got it right, they have definitely placed the health and well-being of the kids as a priority. This place provides hours of fun for the grandkids of all ages. The younger kids gravitate towards the kitchen, garden and indoor playground while the older kids loved the STEM area. The arts and crafts person was amazing the day we went. The kids made everything from a telescope to a flower pot and paintings.

Changing area and coat room by restrooms. Easy!

Smaller space/ but they packed a lot of kid friendly exhibits that are engaging and fun. The outdoor activities were a huge bonus.

A lot of amazing things for kids to learn and experience, wish they had more seating for parents but the little place for crawlers is nice!

Such a fun visit while in Knoxville…read more The staff at the front desk was welcoming and informative. We particularly enjoyed seeing the model rooms and learning about the architecture. I want to go visit those houses now! Free museum. It's not too big but you can spend 1-2 hours here.

This museum is great for Knoxville. It's not very big, but you'll spend 1-2 hours there…read more Story time: It was weird. When we arrived, the lady up front for our check-in asked how we had heard of them. I'm like... "Uh... It's art. We go where art is. We love art." I couldn't think of any other answer that fit the boxes she was checking. I love art, and that's where you can find me. It didn't fit any of her checkboxes, she waited a moment like she was waiting for me to say something else before saying, "Oh, that's a new reason we're going to have to add" or something like that. One of the usher girls understood what I was saying. No shame on the lady... it was just odd. I don't just hear about museums. I see if a city has one and I go. In my world, that's a 100,000 percent normal thing. I still laugh about it. You'll have fun here. If you've visited major art museums in Atlanta, Pittsburgh, Philly, Chicago, NY, or SF, you'll still have fun here, but it won't be the famous paintings you're looking for. If you're in Knoxville and have time to spare, I'd visit, but it's not an absolute must-do thing.

I really struggled with the rating here - for me it's a 3.5 overall…read more Highlights: The playground portion was awesome, fully accessible for me to go in and keep up with our little dude. The open spaces to roam are essential for us, and we felt good about him being on the playground side. The staff was really nice on the way in and was occasionally walking the grounds, picking up, checking in, etc. Improvements needed: the hands-on toy section needs a redo. At one point, I'd say it was in excellent quality...but it's clear wear and tear and no investment have led to some of the tiny rooms leaving little to the imagination, with most stuff scattered about with no structure (and existing toys worn out). Kids can make the most of a lot, but this needs a refresh. Side note...the furniture has some sharp points too...if budget can't permit replacing with things with smoother edges, then at least put some covers on the corners. We didn't feel good about that section and tried to block and cover it. That, or gate it. All aside, we are grateful for all the little spots like these that give variety to our kiddo with special needs.

This place was absolutely worth the drive from our town…read more Usually I hate these kinds of places because of kid germs and the mass spread but this place was very clean. I believe every thirty minutes they were cleaning and sanitizing. I loved that they had spots for adults to sit and watch their kids. The staff were very kind and helpful. The 3 years old loved this place. I only wish it was bigger
