Had an absolute blast at Muse Paintbar! The vibe is upbeat, the instructors are hilarious, and somehow they make you feel like a real artist even if you normally can't draw a stick figure lol. Great drinks, great music, and even better memories. Definitely check them out.

I had a wonderful time at muse paint bar! My boyfriend and I went to celebrate our anniversary and it was so fun. All of the staff is friendly and welcoming. Our artist instructor was Lynise. She was very sweet and had great energy with the crowd. We painted a forest of cherry blossoms and it turned out great. Towards the end of the class things did feel a tiny bit rushed but I am a slower painter and was taking my time lol. Lynise did give a little extra time at the end of the class to finish & dry our paintings, and walked around to give people tips for finishing touches. Parris was the other artist assisting us on the floor. He was helpful as well. The paint bar has a full cocktail menu and lite bites that were very tasty. We had the boneless wings (aka chicken nuggets) and they were juicy. Between both painting studios there is a large glass wall so I enjoyed being able to see what the other class was painting as well. This is a great activity to do on a Saturday with good weather. We walked around the national harbor afterwards and had lunch at Grace's mandarin, which I highly recommend. Overall we had a wonderful experience. 10/10

It started off a little rocky but quickly turned into a great night. When we arrived there was no one there to greet us or tell us where to sit. Once the young lady decided to acknowledge us she said "just find your name yourself"..well ok. But the bartender was great, food was good, the energy at our table was fun and Jonathan was a good energetic teacher. I go to a lot of paint and sips in my home town and I know toward the end it can get a little tight with time but the teacher shouldn't mention how many more classes you have after and we have to "speed it up."I pay for my experience and I want dedicated time. It was my boyfriend's birthday and the class you have to teach after shouldn't be mentioned.

Huge shoutout to our instructor Miriam and our assistant/bartender Tae. We visited Muse on 1/15 (Founders Day) and had a great time despite the snow fall that came down all day. We were allotted a three hour reservation which covered introductions, teaching, painting, closing remarks, restroom breaks, etc. Give professional artists their 10s because painting is hard but I appreciate the step by step approach, and guidance if it was needed was provided. We had a good time and I would go again and again

My daughter and I had a great time at muse paint bar yesterday. We choose the National harbor location which is a nice area. We were not celebrating anything special just a mommy and me day I suppose. We arrived a few minutes early, we were greeted when we came in , asked our name to pull our reservation the asked to stand to the side. Then we were taken to the red room for our painting and shown our seats. We were seated at the high chairs, I didn't complain however I would have preferred standard seating with a lil back rest. We tried to use the QR code to order food and drinks but the service was terrible towards the back where the red room was located and I do not like to access public Wi-Fi . The instruction and her assistant was super nice. We went to the bar to place our order and the bar staff was super nice. We ordered 2 sodas , pepperoni flat bread pizza and mozzarella sticks. The mozzarella sticks were not good at all. All in all we enjoyed the memories made. The music while we painted the instructor and her assistants energy. It was a fun time and I highly recommend it :-) I will go again and be sure to choose something easier to paint

I really enjoyed the painting class at Muse. My friend and I made a last-minute reservation that we booked online. We went to the area early, which I suggest because there's a ton of bars/restaurants where you can grab food beforehand. We parked in the garage right next to Muse with no issues. When we arrived, we were greeted and checked in by our instructor, who was really nice. They have a bar where you can order drinks and snacks, so we purchased a couple of cocktails/mocktails while we waited for class to start. The space is really pretty and was already set-up for the class. I love that they were playing some good music in the background - it helped me tap into my artistic mode lol. Once class started, it was no joke. The pace is pretty fast, so you have to pay attention to keep up. It was helpful to have the teacher painting along with us though. After about 90 minutes, we wrapped up. Overall, I like my painting and loved the overall experience.

Had reservations for a special Friday evening painting. Each session is 2 hours. There are multiple paint rooms. We were placed in the main room, as soon as you walk in - with the bar Our names were placed on the canvas so no guessing where to sit. Each table was situated with 4 canvases. Some tables were higher than other. Paint instructor was Paris and he was talented, funny and loveable. We were supplied with paint colors, apron, brushes, water, paper towels. etc. everything needed to paint and stay clean. Bar consisted of wines/beers/ and limited cocktails. You could order at the bar or thru the website and have food brought to your table. Each glass of wine was $9. Food was very basic snack foods. I had mozzarella sticks (1/5) and my friend has "chicken wings" were were like microwaved chicken bites (2/5). The strawberry margarita was good There is a parking garage right behind the building. Parking was like $15 for 3 hours or so, over $24 for anything over 4 hours Would be good for girls night out

If you are looking for a good date night or activities with friends, Muse Paintbar in the harbor is for you! Alexis and Paris were the best host, and made painting fun and educational so that our paintings came out great. I went as a Rama building activity for my job, and appreciated the food and wine selection at the venue. Alexis paid great music while we painted and Paris kept the drinks going!

    Let's do this!

Okay, so the drinks and greasy snacks are basic and we paid waaay too much for a pumpkin latte that was essentially made on a Keurig, but the painting experience with my spouse was rewarding. This was my second time at a Muse Paint Bar. The first was a very crowded birthday party and this time, I was on a date. We went on a weekend morning, which is apparently a great time to go on a date if you are adverse to crowds. Only two other couples were there. The artist instructor went at a nice pace for us to follow along. My only real complaint is that the music was so loud so much of the time -I think the instructor kept forgetting to turn it down- that it was hard to hear him. Thankfully it was open seating and we could see the painting well enough. I love the paintings we made and took home with us too!

I had a chance to take my wife to Muse Paintbar for our anniversary. I had never been to Muse before but I saw it on Tik Toc. This place is an entire vibe. We had great experience during our time. The instructor Alexis was very personable and a great instructor.

Decided to do a Sunday noon class and it was great! There were about 7 of us who showed for this class. They advise you to arrive 30 minutes before to get settled and grab a drink. They have a decent drink menu and I believe they serve food as well. The class started right on time. We had a great instructor too! They walk you through all of the painting steps and the instructors will walk around and help. If you do try a class, be creative with the colors you're given. Step outside the box and have fun!! This location is right at National Harbor so you can definitely grab a bite to eat before or after you paint. Plenty of restaurants and plenty of parking. I was able to snag a street parking spot but make sure you give yourself time to park, National Harbor can get crowded some days.

    Shanell M.

We came here for a girls night and had a blast! The instructor Paris was engaging, patient and helpful! They also offer both alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks and bites. It's also near a ton of restaurants if you want to grab a meal before or after. I appreciated how versatile the painting classes are as there were people there in groups with friends, families, solo, and also on dates. Can't wait to go back!

    Finished product!

Walked in and could tell there was no air conditioner working. Grabbed a drink from the bar which was good. The instructor bravo was excellent. Couldn't enjoy the experience due to the lack of air conditioning, with it being my first time I won't be going back.

    Happy New Year!!

She walked us through the process of blending scents, why these candles and oils are health conscious, and pouring our own custom candles. The space itself is bright and inviting, with shelves full of gorgeous candles and décor--it feels like a boutique and creative studio rolled into one. Perfect for a group activity, date night, or even something fun to do on your own. They have multiple items at different price point if you just want to shop!! What really stood out: * Variety of curated scents to choose from (so many amazing combinations!) * Guided experience that's beginner-friendly but still creative * Black-owned business rooted in community and craftsmanship * You leave with a candle that feels personal and luxe and is healthy to burn. Highly recommend booking a session here if you're in the area. I'll definitely be back so worth it!!!

Halloween evening I planned a romantic date night with my SO at National Harbor in Maryland…read more While waiting for their arrival, I walked through the retail district, familiarizing myself with the types of shops, and their offerings. A subtle hint had been dropped before that a couple's event, like painting and wine tasting, was of interest. There was a shop offering that experience, along with one that appeared to pair photography with alcohol?!? After further investigation however, I found 'the one's, Wigenton Candle Co. The experience they offered was much more intimate; creating a candle together. Said candle, would of course be used in the future, and each time memories of its creation would come flooding back. I ducked into the shop for an overview and spoke to the owner, Stephanie. After confirming that it was ideal, I made a reservation for a bit later that evening. Come 7:00, my SO and I arrived for our candle-making session. Being Halloween, most people were interested in far different activities, thus we were the only partipants. Stephanie explained the process to us, then had us sit at a crafting station, which had the ingredients we'd need laid out already. Stephanie provided a thorough explanation of each potential fragrance, including its benefits, and popular fragrance combinations. After testing different fragrances, and combinations, we now had all the ingredients necessary to make 'OUR' candle. Stephanie led us through the process of assembling the candle, and explained that it would need to cook for a number of hours before it could be moved. She also recommended that it not be burned for at least 3 days. As we wrapped up, Stephanie shared candle burning tips including making them last, their optimum placement within a room, etc. I asked what the inspiration was for the store. Come to find out Stephanie suffered the ill-effects that many so when burning commercially manufactured candles. They often include harmful ingredients which can negatively effect one's health (short and long-term), and exacerbate asthmatic symptoms. Needless to say, the candles you make in the store, as well as the pre-made candles and other items, such as diffuser oils, contain none of the 'bad stuff'. As we made our way out the door we learned that it's possible to bring one's own food and drink to a couple's session, adding another layer of intimacy. The reaction to the experience from both me and my SO was outstanding. It blew away all the other couple experience options available at the National Harbor, and left us both looking forward to the day (more likely night) that we would first light 'OUR' candle. We can't recommend Wigenton Candle, and Stephanie highly enough. Get there!!! 'Uncle Mike'

The instructor (Valerie, I believe) was very detailed in her instructions that included threading a machine, debugging, ironing, sewing different stitches and lengths, assembling and dissembling the machine, and making a mini pillow. After she demoed different steps, she would have us try and wandered the room quickly correcting us if something wasn't quite right. We also had to repeat each action twice to develop the muscle memory. There are classes available for all things a beginning sewer needs to know up to how to make your own bodice at advance levels. The store has patterns, fabric, and take-home kits. If you cannot make a scheduled workshop, you can do the lesson over private instruction. I had followed YouTube instructions before and done lots of searches trying to figure out how to sew with limited success.
