I got a very rare disease called Sarcoidosis which is very debilitating. I felt I could no longer do the program due to its demanding schedule. I wanted my $4,500 back. Kessler said "he wasn't in the habit of taking money from people and not providing a service" in one conversation. However, he refused to give any of it back. The program was not full and he probably was hurting for money. Just be careful this guy. Make sure you've done your due diligence. He offered to hold the money and I could sign up in 3 years. No thank you. I'm out $4,500 and he's sitting pretty.

They are not transparent in the total estimated cost of each course, i.e., the cost of materials. Or even a range of costs. And, if you do not cancel on or before an exact date, before the classes even start, and before you even know the material costs, no refund; They simply credit your account for future courses, less a $20 admin fee. Unfortunately, I was 2 days past this arbitrary cancellation date,5 days before my course start date when I went to their store to purchase materials. I was aghast at the price-nearly the cost of the course. When I called and the wrote to the head of the school, she showed no interest in my side of the story, my financial concerns. In fact, she was rude and unprofessional. There is so much room for improvement in the way the business is managed and run. They do not appear to care about their customers' feedback. And, I haven't even mentioned to store itself... Can't vouch for the teachers, as I didn't even get that far. And I won't . I will try to sell or gift my credit. There seems to be many other venues for art classes that are far less expensive. And more transparent in their costs.

Tony Treston (affiliated with…read moreWaltz Time) was my instructor; he demonstrates the basics of waltzing in an easygoing manner. My first lesson was no pressure and I felt like I made a lot of progress. BTW, this is not Viennesse waltzing, which is a formalized style of waltzing. The kind of waltzing taught here is more of a "garden variety", and done by cultures all over the world. It's a 3-step candance (slow, quick quick), and anyone can do it, seriously. It might be the best $13 that I ever spent. That's the cost of admission, which includes a 45 minute lesson, followed by nearly 3 hours of dance time with a live band. The Spanish Ballroom, where the social dances are held, is a premier venue. The building itself is Art Deco architecture and considered to be one of the best ballrooms of its kind on the East Coast. The interior is decorated tastefully and lighted well. The expansive floor is made of a lovely maple wood. The live music is such a treat as the acoustics here are top notch. The social dances are a lot of fun, and waltzing isn't the only style offered--there's contra dancing; tango dancing; swing dancing; blues dancing, etc. The social dance calendar is quite extensive. When they gave us an option to get 70% refund or credit last year they never informed us that this is a one time option and no refunds will be issued after this. His work is always got "Wow" compliments from friends and families. He gained so much confidence of drawing and coloring. Sometimes the parking can be challenging. I found out that after 5pm, you can park the car at Bethesda Elementary School. It is only 2 minutes walking.
