My friends took me here for my pre-birthday celebration and I had so much fun visiting for the first time. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I love the good singing and friendly atmosphere on a big Wednesday night.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The crowd was large but we all had a great time.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I enjoyed the food and service was really nice.

Service: great bartenders! Food: bar food wasn't that good [[HIGHLIGHT]]Ambiance: large venue and the dueling piano was very entertaining.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]I went with a group so we had the entire upstairs. It was a lot of fun :)[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Dancing on stage for the piano duel!

The staff was awesome and [[HIGHLIGHT]]the music was incredible!!![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]What an epic performance![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] It was so worth the visit.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]This place is so much fun! The piano players have a ton of energy, really interact well with the audience, and have great voices.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]We sat at one of bar rail tables. We thought we'd be upstairs but we were downstairs. It wasn't bad. In fact, I preferred it over the crowded main floor.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]However, the wooden bar stool seats were extremely uncomfortable.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The bar staff was cool and made great drinks. We got the June Bug and the Peach Punch! They were pretty pricey for the size. They were $14 a piece. Both tasted amazing; very fruity and refreshing. We didn't order any food, so I couldn't tell you how it tasted. [[HIGHLIGHT]]But the vibe was great and music plentiful![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

This location is right in the harbor area. Easy to walk to if staying in the Harbor area. The clientele of this location was better than some of the other dueling piano places I have been to, but that could have just been that night. The drinks were served very timely considering how crowded the place was. I highly recommend reservations. These are some talented people and it was a TON OF FUN.

This is a must experience in the DC area and recommend you reserve seats beforehand. We tried walking up a couple of times and they were sold out. Plus, when you reserve seats early you can pick locations. Our favorite spot is the main floor bar area facing the pianos. You are eye level to the pianos and close to the bar, which would be directly behind you There's a 2-person table at the end of the counter and faces the stage. This would be a great couples table. The food is pretty much bar food and don't have any specific favorites. We tried the sliders and salad which both were ok.

I would pass by Bobby's and always assumed it was a concert venue. I recently visited for the Boozy Brunch on a Sunday and had a great time. There are, however, areas of improvement. The good: There is ample parking in the National Harbor. I was able to park in the garage attached to the building of the venue. The checkin process was smooth and easy. The musicians were AMAZING! They are a husband and wife duo who were simply the best! The food was good. It was a decent spread. The bad: We ordered the bottomless brunch for mimosas and it took FOREVER to get refills. They have a system set up where you need to push a button on the box at the table to call over the servers. This took up to 20 minutes at one point. That's the not type of service I expect when paying extra for bottomless. It would be much better to put a carafe on the table and allow us to pour our own drinks. At one point, the server would have a full carafe leaving the bar, but by the time she went to 1- 2 tables, there wasn't any mimosa left. This would add additional time we had to wait for them to come to our table. Secondly, the plates are very small. Be prepared to consistently get up and get food. What I returned? I would for the same musical acts. They were great! I would not buy the bottomless again. I would just purchase my own drinks as it would be faster to get them on my own rather than waiting on the servers.

My husband and i attended an event here the other night and it was a great first experience that I can't wait to go back! Because we had so many people, we had two bartenders but honestly feel like there should have been three bartenders up there because the bar was constantly packed. The appetizers they had for our party were okay and definitely could have been better tasting (sliders, mini crab cakes, chicken kabobs, deviled eggs which were probably the best thing). I think my favorite part was the fact that the performances were so good! I did thoroughly enjoy the Jell-O shots!

It was our friend's birthday and she wanted to celebrate at the piano bar We loved how interactive it was. Everyone seemed to have a really great time and the rock music was on point. The musicians are INSANELY talented and incredibly entertaining. You have the ability to make music requests, make sure to add a little tip to increase the likelihood of your song choice to be chosen. You can also put a message on the message board for a fee of course. If you want to put a phrase on the board for $5 someone can come along and change the message for a higher fee. Typically it's a showdown with military messages. PARKING: Plenty of parking garages. Park at St. George parking garage and exit towards Fleet St. It leads you directly next to the entrance. FOOD: Ginny Hendrix Cocktail $15 Empress Gin, Lavender Syrup, Honey Syrup, & Lemonade Hands down this was probably the best drink I've had in a long time. I'm not really a gin fan but this drink definitely tasted like juice and it was a favorite amongst the table. Santa Fe Chicken Egg roll $12 Grilled chicken, monterey jack cheese, black beans, corn, & peppers. Served with ancho chipotle sauce The egg rolls were standard but delicious. No one was disappointed with ordering this. Nacho Tots $15 Tater tots topped with seasoned beef, nacho cheese, sour cream, pico de Gallo, lettuce and jalapeño. Served with salsa & sour cream OR substitute tots for tortilla chips I got to try a little of this. It seemed okay but it definitely was really heavy. Adding the tots to this will definitely fill you up. BBQ Pulled Pork Sliders $14 Two sliders, with coleslaw, and pickles. Served with ketchup & ranch NF, DF Sub Old Bay Fries - $0.75 Sub Truffle Fries - $2.25 This was probably my least favorite item. I found the sliders to be very very bland. The most enjoyable part of the dish was just regular fries. All in all, great place for a happy hour and celebration. It will definitely lift your spirits. Side note, doors open at 7. If you have a reservation you should get there by 8.

Where do I begin? Best and one of the last nights of 2024. Visiting National Harbor for a last-minute holiday weekend with my five besties, we ended up at Bobby McKey's. When we called about reservations, we were quoted $37 each for a reserved seat at a table, or we could pay $10 cover at the door for open standing room only accommodations. Taking a chance, we went with the $10. We arrived after the show had started and were lucky to find an area near the exit door by the stairs where the six of us could stand, easily see the show, and have lots of space to wiggle to the music. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Had an incredible night! The pianists played everything from country to rock to hip hop/rap. So much fun![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The highlight for me was Pony by Ginuwine. Yes! They even played THAT![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Let me preface this by saying Bobby McKey's is a very fun date night/girls night/whatever. The venue is a good size, and parking is easy to find nearby in a parking garage. We had floor seats because I had read that you could get your requests played easier that way. Service was solid. Our server stopped by several times. The drinks were pretty good, and it's standard bar fare-- wings, dip, nothing too special or filling (read: eat dinner elsewhere). The performers were great. They knew how to hype up the crowd, and they are no doubt talented. So why three stars? The gimmick of taking requests is, I think, only a gimmick. We sat with strangers at our table and we all submitted requests (walking napkins up to the stage). We were told that you had to provide cash/venmo in order to have a chance at getting your song played. I have no idea how much you have to pay because I tried $5, then $10, and nothing. Paying above that for a single song on top of admission seems a bit much. However, if you're celebrating something (i.e. paid for one of their larger packages), they make you feel special and play your requests. Why am I salty about this? The music selection was dated. Very dated. You got your Journey, Elton John, Billy Joel, Garth Brooks, Aretha Franklin, Tina Turner, etc. Now, don't get me wrong, I get it. Everyone knows those songs. It's true. BUT, I could count on one hand the songs they played from the 2000s to now. And that... doesn't play well. Do I recommend Bobby McKey's? Sure. But go in knowing that you are not likely to get your request played, and the music selection is classics.

I love piano bars! The staff was friendly. The musicians were great and got the crowd engaged!

Do you have to do reservations? Or can you show up? We plan on a Friday.

Hi Laura. If you'd like to have seats, it's recommended that you book ahead of time. Friday and Saturday seats generally sell out. If you're just planning to do standing room only, you can pay at the door. Thanks.

How much is the usual cover?

Hi Kaitlyn! It's just $5 Mon.- Thur., $7 on Fri. & $10 on Sat.. Friday and Saturday ate just standing room only. We offer different seating options that cap at $20 on Fri. & $30 on Sat.

The food... you know how hard it is to have a good dinner for that many people, right? Rudy, the Chef at our boat was amazing, the food was so good. We had appetizers as people were boarding, the wait staff was so friendly, smiling, attentive, making sure everyone was being taken care of. Appetizers I picked were great, dinner after was amazing (I keep using that word but it was! meat, chicken, pasta, salad, salmon and desserts). The bartenders were on it too, from the minute people were boarding, they had trays with already served wine! what!!! yes. I had a full bar option for my event and OMG, so good. DJ Bob, crazy good. I told him in advance what we wanted, about my group, that we wanted to dance, etc. He got it! We danced the whole time. I literally had to ask people to leave the boat at the end of the event. Nobody wanted to go! Linel (sorry if I'm misspelling the manager's name) was so great, attentive, nice, funny. I'm telling you, the crew made sure we were having a great time. We did. It was significantly cheaper than the Gaylord and less than a quarter mile away. Checking in was a little odd. After walking in the door, I had to walk up to the next floor for the lobby- you can also take the elevator up. The hotel is under construction, but I didn't hear any noise. One of the elevators was ACTIVELY under construction when I was there, but still usable. The room itself was cozy and comfortable. It was fine for a couple of nights, and since I was there for a conference, I wasn't in my room much. The room didn't have a microwave, but one is located in the lobby. The mini fridge kept my drinks and leftovers cold. The water pressure, provided shampoo/conditional/body/wash, and hair dryer were wonderful. The phone looked dusty and dirty, but I didn't use it. I actually slept on the other side of the bed so I wouldn't be too close to the phone. I'm not even sure why hotels have phones these days. Everyone has a cell phone. I didn't go to the bar downstairs, but on my second night here, I saw quite a crowd enjoying the bar area. Ironically, some of them were drinking spirits and juices/mixer out of their own red solo cups at the tables. I've never seen that at a hotel before, but I didn't ask questions and just went up to my cozy room to chill. I wasn't a fan of the National Harbor area, but if the conference I attend each year is held is this area again, I'd stay at this hotel again- but I wouldn't use the room phone.

I checked in to this hotel 24 hours in advance, requesting my mobile key, but they wouldn't send it. They kept telling me I had to stop at the desk upon arrival. I felt like that was redundant. I don't have that problem with other hotels. You have a valid credit card on file. I don't understand the problem. Now, if you're familiar with this area. They have a garage across the street available for $24 per 24 hours. With in & out entry. There was no need to move our car. Everything was within walking distance. They offer European Breakfast for $15.00 per person if you're into that. Mine was included with my booking. I have southern roots, and we need a little more than that. It was good, though. Would I do it again. Probably not. Now, onto the room. I booked a Waterview but received a partial Waterview. Our room was on the 5th floor , and one window faced a building. I would have preferred to be higher. There is no microwave in the room. Only a small fridge. There is no closet. Our room was clean. Which is a plus. It's at a convenient location, but I would prefer more space. So, if you're into Lofts, this would be the place for you. I will be considering other hotel options for my next overnight stay. It's probably ok for the short-term stay. Personally, I'm more comfortable with suites.

As with most of my other hotel reviews, I'll separate this into pros and cons - so here we go! There's a lot to like about this hotel. Being a Gaylord, you can easily spend your entire trip within the confines of the hotel - there are several eateries, stores, and onsite amenities to keep you occupied. Outside the walls though, the location excellent. Unlike its sister resorts in Texas and Nashville, the Gaylord National Harbor is located within walking distance to shops, restaurants, and entertainment in National Harbor. My room was also very spacious and modern - I was on the 14th floor and had a great view looking out towards National Harbor. The convention area was also good - easy to navigate and a comfortable place to be while learning. As far as cons, it's mostly within the context of comparing it to other Gaylords. This is by far the smallest one I have been to, and has less onsite amenities compared to Texas and Nashville. The exchange, though, is having other amenities outside the hotel within walking distance. Going to close this off by giving kudos to the staff - they were great. I had a smooth check-in and my entire stay from a logistics perspective was seamless. But Mulberry Lane is a notch above bc not only is it a play cafe but there is staff there to watch your lils while you get to go elsewhere within the building whether that's in the lil tables visibly nearby or in one of their neighboring and partnering restaurants. I'd toootally get my kids memberships if we lived nearby. Since we probably would only go weekends for an hour or two, I'm glad there are the options for one time pay or multi hour passes for future use. Since we weren't sure if we'd be back, we gave it a try for one hour. Prices may change but our first time was $18 per child per hour. This may seem high for only one hour, but my kids had fun and my hour without worrying about them or being interrupted was very productive so it was worth it. Staff are friendly. I only wished they had gluten free options for the kiddos to enjoy after their play. Guess we can bring our own next time! :)

I didn't get a chance to try the food, but everything I saw coming out looked really good. The karaoke room was pretty warm, but I just assumed it was because there were a lot of us in a small space, so it wasn't a big deal. The real problem was when our room time was over and we went into the main area. It was HOT, like, no air at all. And I'm not talking about the Chris Brown and Jordin Sparks song (LOL). It was honestly unbearable. With the heat wave we've been having, there's really no excuse for the AC to be struggling that much. Other than that, we had a great time, and I'd definitely come back. I just hope management sees this and gets the air conditioning fixed because it would make the experience so much better.

It also has large windows overlooking the water as well as outdoor seating. We had our end of year staff celebration here. We had a small buffet of finger goofs that were realy good as well as happy hour drink specials. For a while, we had the space to ourselves but as it got later it got more busy. Eventually security had to monitor the lidt because the ended up being some fighting over it. Staff was ok. They gave conflicting information about their policies. Overall it was an okay experience. I would definitely go again.

This will be my go-to hotel in the National Harbor going forward! I've stayed a few in the Harbor,…read morebut this has been the best. We stayed here to attend a party in the Ft. Washington area. You know, trying to be responsible adults. When we pulled up to check in there were a few people ahead of us. The receptionist was still very polite to everybody. She answered our questions about parking and we were set. By the way, it's very convenient that the parking garage is right across the street. You can use your room key to enter the hotel from the backside (across from the parking garage). You can get your parking ticket validated to allow in & out access. The decor is modern and updated. I like the way they've set up seating areas by the dining area for say...... a family with small kids to eat together. There are a few TV's on the walls in the sitting areas if you'd like to just chill. The room, or should I say suite, was nice. I like that the TV swivels 360 degrees so you can turn it around to watch while on the couch. Then swivel it to the bed and watch there as well. We had a kitchenette with microwave, plates, glasses, siverware, a stove, etc. The bed was comfy, but the pillows were a bit lumpy. They did the job. The water was HOT and had good pressure. What else do you need? Oh, the gym was pretty good for a hotel gym! They even had kettlebells. They also had a store with plenty of everything you might need while you're there. I felt comfortable there. The door and elevator both required key-card access. The carpet didn't look worn down. The hallways were painted (or it was probably wallpaper) a nice grey color. It really felt homey. We'll be back.

We stayed here because of our pet, and the hotel allows for fur guests at a reasonable visit fee. The suites are spacious and have all that you need to feel like you have a home base when you're away from home. Some of the highlights or good things about our Residence Inn stay: - There is a nearby parking deck and the back entrance of the hotel is right across the street from it. So, it's very convenient when bringing in luggage or just going in and out daily. - Our room was on the 7th floor and was very spacious. The suite layout was comfortable with the kitchenette, living room area, bedroom area, and bathroom/closet situation. - The kitchen has a full-sized fridge, where you can store groceries and do your own cooking if you want. The drawers and cabinets are supplied with plates, cookware, and various utensils. The kitchen has an energy efficient dishwater and a garbage-disposal sink, too! - The free breakfast buffet is pretty good! Hot food bar, waffle makers, cereal, yogurt, bakery good, hot coffee, cold brew, etc. The whole gamut of breakfast food stuffs. - Laundry room! Our trip to D.C. was nearly two weeks long, so this was great towards the end of our trip. You can ask the front desk for a roll of coins in exchange for cash. The washing machine costs $4 to use for one wash cycle. The dryer is similar to costs except you can add in increments of 25 cents. It's by the gym. - There's a gym and workout machines. My husband who used it said it does the job. - The Residence Inn is close to casual eateries, bars and various entertainment venues (if you're into dueling piano spots, you're in luck!), and within walking distance of a CVS pharmacy if you need.

No more 2 drink requirement! (Though it was unclear if this was ever a real thing as sometimes they enforced it and sometimes they didn't). They have updated the cocktail list to feature a nice selection of N/A cocktails and energy drinks so you can hit the $15 minimum with one cocktail ($17) or just one N/A drink (the N/A drinks are $14, as is the wine so I'm assuming they don't force you to make up that $1 difference between the minimum which would just be shady -- equally their energy drinks and beers are $7 so two would only be $14 -- again I'm assuming they let this slide). Would still be nice if they offered soft drinks and snacks -- I'd be thrilled with popcorn and a diet coke but this new system is such a welcome improvement and makes the space more welcoming to non drinkers or people like me who simply don't want to be forced to buy a drink.
