This is my second time coming here. I came here once pre-covid for a work offsite/team building event. I booked my visit the night before as my friend and I needed something to do in the afternoon on a cold winter day before we went to our dinner plans. Booking was super easy. When we entered, we checked in at the front desk/bar area and were directed to grab an apron off the hooks and hang our jackets up in the coat room behind the exit door. Seats were assigned and your paint station has your name on it. (They make this clear during the booking process that your party will be sat together, and if you book separately, you'll need to make sure to choose your group's name from the drop down to ensure you're sat together). Your workstation comes with an easel with a canvas, 5 brushes, a water can, and 5 brushes. There's a stack of communal plates (for color mixing) and paper towels in the middle of the table. The audience was made up of various ages and profiles - from couples to friends to families to kids celebrating a birthday to solo painters. The staff make is super welcoming from the start and explain the whole process clearly from how to order food (from the QR code on your easel) to having a floater artist walking around to provide help if you need it. You also don't have to paint the product that's shown and can use the time as a freestyle session if you wish. Beyond the provided palette (curated to the painting you booked), they do have a shelf of various colors to choose from so your imagination is unlimited. They also have blow dryers stationed throughout so you can dry your paint if you painted layers too thick and need to add additional layers on top. There seems to be another room downstairs past the bathrooms and I saw a group of kids go down there so I assume that's used for private bookings (didn't get to see the space, just heard voices and saw people go there) Took stars off for the following: - Bathrooms are downstairs so not the most accessible. The sink only had cold water despite using the hot tap. Made my hands absolutely freezing when it was already 0 degrees outside. - The painting we did was advertised to be 2 hours. I feel like timing could have been better managed or advertised. We started a few minutes late. The pace was going great in the beginning with sufficient pauses for us to follow along, then when there was technically 15 min remaining at 5:15 (the booking is for 3:30-5:30pm), we were rushing to complete the remaining portions of the painting and my friend and I couldn't keep up fast enough. i feel like they should have advertised this as 2.5 hours so the last steps aren't rushed. Others did finish with the allotted time and we weren't rushed out at the end, but the pacing just felt off given the nice pace we had in the beginning. - I also wished we had some time to rinse out our cups or more pauses to blow down our work. Maybe I'm OCD and hate how gross the water gets and my brushes never feel clean. I took some time to rinse out my cup and another time took some time to blow dry my painting, but when I got back to my seat I fell very behind. - At the end while I was still finishing up, I heard a few people asking for bags to take their paintings home in and heard the staff saying they didn't have any. I would think this would be a common enough request that they'd have bags on hand (or just by default would provide bags) since we are in the city and many of us need to commute on the subways and aren't just walking into our own private vehicles.

Last minute booking that was so fun! Josephine was amazing! Loved that she'd actually come and give pointers, suggestions and even saw her help a few people with their paintings. Drinks were super good too! So worth it!

work in progress. Not bad. You can tell which side is mine.

Decided on a whim to do a post-Valentine's Day paint & sip on a weeknight. This was the first time I ever did one of these. This was specifically a Valentine's Day theme, where we had to finish our canvases and make them into hearts. We had Connor instruct us on the painting. It's a 2 hour paint session and done intentionally as the paint needs ample time to dry. But Connor was great this particular evening. We had fun painting our canvases. I may have butchered my side, but at least I found ways to salvage it, I think?. Of course, there's no fun in painting without some wine. This evening though, I skipped on the wine. My girl wasn't much in the mood for it and I would also be drinking on a fairly empty stomach. But alcohol and soft drinks are certainly plenty. There is also food, however when we were there, the options were quite limited (due to items not being in stock) and they did not really look appetizing when I saw other people receive their items. Glad I didn't order, but maybe going for a 7pm paint without any food in the system isn't the greatest idea. All in all, I'll probably find a way to come back for another occasion. This is certainly fun.

My best friend and I came here on a paint your pet event and it was so cute. You upload your pets on their link and they print it out for you. They give you step by step features and feedback on how you're doing. There's also small bites, wines and soft drinks to choose from while painting. It was a great experience and fun. This would be a great date night or girls night event.

This makes for an interesting team building event. It's a no frills space with a novel activity, simple drinks and good service. Mind you, don't order the food as it's not worth it. Show up half an hour before your session starts to order drinks, as the bartender is also the painting instructor. There's a break during the 2 hour painting session to order drinks again. While aprons are provided, they do not cover you fully from head to toe so make sure not to wear clothes and shoes you'll be upset if get stained. You'll leave with a decent painting as a souvenir.

Our group rented out a private room for a friends birthday and we had so much fun. We laughed and laughed and sipped delicious rose while painting a challenging peacock. With Melanie as our mentor, she was so patient with those of us (all of us) who barely know which end of the paintbrush to use. I highly recommend this place for a night out with friends and a great time. I loved it!!

Decided to go to Muse Paintbar for something to do on a weekday evening (was able to book the night before so didn't need much advance planning) and had a great experience. Even for someone like me with little artistic ability, was still able to create a painting that came out looking reasonably good. Muse Paintbar provides all of the supplies and materials and the instructors are friendly and provide a lot of guidance. Great choice for an easy to plan event that takes a few hours (families, couples or individuals) or a group outing.

You must reserve your party's spot ahead of time by going to their website. You can choose your reservation based on your availability. My favorite thing and the reason why I chose this paint-n-sip place was because on the website, it had photos of the painting you are going to create, as well as the date, prices and all necessary information. Checkout was quick and easy. I had to reschedule my first reservation because something came up a few days before, and they made that an easy process as well. I chose the class on a Sunday at 11am, and I am glad I did. The class was very small and intimate. Upon going inside, the aprons to protect your clothes are hanging on the left and the bar is on the right. I just want to say our instructor was amazing; she was patient, friendly and detailed when explaining each step. This was my first paint-n-sip experience, but I appreciated that she took the time to walk around and ask each of us if we needed assistance or further directions. My friends and I did not get any drinks because it was still early, but it was fun regardless! We stopped a couple times to dry our work and to dry it before we left. She kindly offered to take pictures of us holding our paintings as well! Bags were provided to carry our work once we left. This was a great experience and I will definitely come back in the future.

My friend and I came here as a last minute activity on a Thursday night trip to the city and we loved it! We came half an hour early and they said they could only let us in at the pre specified time which was understandable. You can order food and drinks at the bar and aprons are provided. They didn't have the first couple options for drinks that I wanted to order, so I would keep that in mind. Otherwise, they have everything set up already with your name on a sticky note, canvases, and paint provided! The instructor was very talented and went at a good pace so that no one fell behind. There was an assistant available to answer any questions and provide help. We were given the option to paint our own painting if we wanted and there was an unlimited paint supply available to us. They also allowed anyone whose birthday was that day to pick out a free painting which was cute! I would definitely recommend this as an activity if you're looking for something to do in the city!

Muse Paintbar was so much fun. Our paint guide, Andy, was a great teacher and engaged with our group by taking our music requests, helping with our paintings, and laughing at our jokes/poking fun at us. He didn't go to slow or too fast with the instructions and made it a stress-free and fun experience. The bar food was seriously delicious. Pigs in a blanket, curly fries, pizza (with a delicious glaze), mozzarella sticks and more were brought out regularly and our group thought everything was delicious. I was worried the food wouldn't be filling enough but it definitely was. I would definitely come here again with friends and recommend this experience to people looking to do something engaging and bring home a souvenir.

I really enjoyed coming here a couple of times with my friends. The sip and paint events are really fun. The instructors are very patient and guide you well on how to paint your masterpieces. The choices of drinks and food they have are pretty decent, too. I really appreciate Muse Paintbar for giving me a voucher to use when one of my friends couldn't make it to one of the events. I'll be back with more people to enjoy this hobby with.

I have completed my first painting!! I went to Family day at Muse with my little one to paint Snoopy. He's good at art but I did feel slightly insecure because I'm not artistic. Whisper and Philip were super friendly, helpful, and encouraging. They give you the freedom to paint how you like (and even deviate from the prescribed painting altogether) but if you want, you can follow along step by step which is what I mostly did. You can ask them to help you and everyone got a free painting! I loved all the tips and tricks they gave us. Upon arrival, they have everything set up for you including aprons, paint, brushes, water, and a canvas. You and your party get your own table. There is a bar with food and drinks. The bathroom is downstairs. You will leave happy and proud! I still can't believe my Snoopy and Woodstock came out that good! I am definitely going to come back and I recommend you do this. Bring your child, significant other, brother, sister, grandma, grandma, date, boss, whoever!

My best friend and I hired Pop Up Picnic NYC for our birthday celebration…read more I loved that a location was chosen for us, given my little knowledge of the park. We were situated in a spot with a great view of Belvedere Castle and close to restroom access. This was such a sweet way for our friends and us to celebrate each other during the day. All setup was included and the aesthetic and atmosphere was the perfect combination of casual, cozy, and fancy that we were looking to achieve. Setup includes lots of blankets, pillows, 2 outdoor games, and a board of snacks. This is a wife and husband duo and their local, small business - was wonderful to be able to support them and the creative business model they've established. Once we arrived, they made sure to spend time to ensure we were comfortable and to get to know us before they left us to celebrate. It was apparent they put lots of time and love into their efforts and the setup! There was a last minute 45 minute pushback in our reservation time. As I understand, this was driven by catering and I felt like the company handled it professionally and they were sure to extend our time on the back end. Luckily we were able to do so as we did not have other plans that this impeded. The pricing is a bit on the steep end; however, more manageable if splitting with other members of your party. It also is rather comparable to other companies I inquired with. A few recommendations and suggestions I have for Pop Up Picnic NYC include: - Providing more water, even a cooler with water bottles would've been great as those were heavy to lug around - Shade. It ended up being a rather hot day and we were not near any shade, perhaps moving the space a bit to find some shade or including decor options that provide shade (umbrella, etc) - Access to the owners and info on the company is all through Instagram. It was great having access to images and videos from their previous picnics; however, there was limited access to what exactly the company offers. Even a one-pager that could be shared via email to explain the various options (including pricing & logistics) would've been great in speeding up the booking process - If able (I'm not at all familiar with park rules here), offering alcoholic beverage options/packages would certainly be worth considering. I would have absolutely given that option a look through All being said, I would absolutely recommend booking with Pop Up Picnic NYC for an event you're looking to plan. I will also have them top of list myself going forward when looking to book a similar event - I can only imagine how cozy one of their picnics would be in the fall. Thanks to Stephanie and team for making our birthdays memorable!!

Have your part(ies) here!…read more We used EDBM to throw a party at The East Wing (Upper East Side) for my daughter's 1st birthday celebration. My wife and I were beyond pleased! They guided us along from the beginning exploratory conversations, through the booking, the food and room setup, to the execution of the event. Wow...they are awesome and they know their stuff! Everything was a smashing success. Special kudos to how they knew all of what to expect too...ie. they were spot on right down to knowing certain foods wouldn't really be eaten as much as others (yes, we went against their advice and yes, we were wrong...lol...but good news is I have tons of leftovers for lunch this week!) Other notes: East Wing is perfect for about 50 people, especially if you need tables and other things laid out in the space. Its well lit but private, their is a bathroom in the room, there are great nooks and crannies to store things (strollers, presents, etc) and the food is both delicious and portioned correctly. We did a lot of research and the way EDBM prices its party packages is by far the best, especially for the nicer ambiance and food quality. They are upfront with all their charges, and at the end of the day, you definitely get more for your money than you would at other places around town of similar size and service. Also, a special kudos to their onsite party host, Lindsay. She is a master party manager, bartender, hostess, problem solver, and generally kind-spirited person. She answered questions, made us comfortable and assisted us in every possible way. Amazing at her job! They all are - Christine, Niki and Brittany. Bravo! We would 100% recommend EDBM to any and all who seek a suggestion for where to have a party.

I can't remember all of the names but I believe there was a Brittany, Christine and I want to say Kate. Our first part of the night we started off at the Gin Mill for dinner. I got to be honest the food was a lot better than what I thought it was going to be. Pasta, Chicken, Steak, potatoes, tator tots, all delicious. Maggie, who was I guess the host of the party was excellent along with our bartender. I cannot remember her name but she was blonde (sorry) and very on top of whatever drinks we needed. I rate everything at this place a 10 Our limo driver Steve who was flat out the man...enough said!!!!! He catered to us as best as he could and went above and beyond. I would definitely have him as a limo driver again. As Steve took us to Down the hatch, the bartenders were there ready to wait on us, and they didn't disappoint. (Maggie called ahead for us!) The one down point of the night was when we ordered wings the staff brought the wings and set them up over on a shelf by the main door. The bouncer came over and asked us to clear the doorway. I understand 100% he was doing his job, but this is where the staff put the wings. I explained to him that we will move out of the way the best we could to not block the doorway, but asked him where were we going to go to eat? I said if you can find us a table I will gladly move. This bouncer had a Dallas Cowboys hat on and, said " you want me to find you a table, not my problem. Okay guy! We left immediately! Guy was just a rude................well you get the point. I called Maggie to explain to her the situation immediately and made sure she knew that we were not out of control, not causing any problems etc.... Next up, 3 sheets saloon. Everything about this place was outstanding. We had a waitress and I can't remember her name, but she was from Australia and she just kept bringing round after round until the open bar time was up! The bouncer Ivan was pretty awesome too. He kept us entertained throughout the night. All in all, the night turned out to be a good time..and I would recommend booking as everything went smoothly with the exception of the bouncer issue, but one guy with an ego, wasn't going to ruin our night.
