I had a blast - Ladies Who Brunch - NYC had a blast! This was one of my better experiences. I'm an artist at heart. I've not painted or drawn in a minute. Whom am I kidding a very long minute. She energetically explained all of the steps in a very comprehensive yet digestible way and everyone could produce something that actually looked good! I also really like the space here. It's basically a large room with several big tables. Each person gets a blank canvas on an easel. There's also a back room. They have everything you need from paint to blow dryers to dry your painting. It's a great option for large groups! Attended a party here over the weekend. Nice big open space with plenty of light. The main pitch of the place is you book some time with a few or a lot of friends, each of you is given a blank canvas, a small easel, a can of brushes and a plate of acrylic paint of various colors. You get to choose a painting from a wide variety of them, and a skilled painter gets up in front of you and walks you through how to paint it. It's a novel experience. And an excellent opportunity to have some fun with family or friends participating in a unique experience. The staff is friendly. The artists/teachers are young and fresh, talented, laid back and helpful. You'll be pleasantly surprised how easy it is to actually create a painting with the step by step help of the artists there. They do have various coffee drinks, finger food, and we also had alcoholic drinks like wine and mimosas -- though I'm not sure if that applies to everyone. You can rent the back room for special occasions if you want. There are 2 large clean bathrooms. The place is clean. Has good vibes. Great way to bond with friends and have fun. There's a lot to like about this establishment. Nothing really to complain about, except some miscommunications about the food and drink. But they handled it professionally. Paint + a bar + food?! What an awesome combo! My co-workers and I came out to Muse for a night of fun and creativity. Signing up online was so easy and we were even able to do a group reservation. The place is beautifully painted. Even in the lower level where the restroom is, there are unique pieces of art lining the walls. It was spotless clean throughout the location as well. We immediately sat down, put on our aprons, and got comfy. With our reservation, we received a free glass of wine. I opted for an apple juice instead without an issue. Pros: - beautiful, spotless, large space - instructor was a joyful, funny, and very knowledgeable. - The staff overall provide great service. - The bar provides wine, beer, water, and soft drinks, all at reasonable prices and good options - Great value with a variety of paintings activities Cons: - Although they provide good food options, the food didn't taste good. I ordered mozzarella sticks that tasted too salty with a watery and bland marinara sauce. My co-workers didn't like the house wine too much either. - The instructor was going wayyyyy too fast. Before I could finish blending green, homegirl was already on pink. She would give us 5 minutes to complete another step but give further directions so that others who didn't need the time could be kept busy. Pointless and obviously a way to catch up with time since we were late getting started. - The class was loud and the instructor didn't do much to quiet the louder groups. As we battled the loud group, music playing, and a fast paced instruction, it became hard to hear at times. - During the painting instruction, the instructor announced that a staff member would be coming around to take photos for their Facebook page. Such a bad BAD idea. As the instructor was teaching, you could hear the photographer asking people for group photos and how to adjust themselves so that the pictures could be better. At times she was right in front of us bending and ducking things to get the right photo. Such a big distraction and it added to the noise. That could've been saved for after the class. Will I return? yes! Despite the craziness, I had a good time and it was a great price. I am looking forward to doing the wine glass painting class next. I highly recommend it for anyone! read more

As a cute little date activity me and my girlfriend came to muse to try out some painting class! The teacher was great and really helped explain within the time frame of the class. I've never had a hand for arts. Whether it was painting, drawing, or coloring, I was somehow always out of line (literally). My friend made reservations for the Sahara Giraffe and at first, I was a bit taken back; there is no way that I could paint the whole landscape, especially the giraffe. Drawing figures has always been my biggest struggle. When I was 8 or 9, my mom signed me up for art lessons as a fun activity on the weekends. After struggling to become the trophy student after a few classes, the asshat instructor told my mom I couldn't draw and my mom pulled me out of the class. I *could've* been a good artist if I stayed there a bit longer, but no, this lady was acting as if she was preparing us for Pratt. Telling me to paint or draw something is like telling a 5-month-old to start walking--a little impossible. Sure enough, my fear of my painting sprawled out once I stepped foot in the paint bar. The aprons, the strong acrylic paint--oh, the pressure sure was lingering. But that feeling immediately vanished once I went to the back room and saw that most of these people were drinking--they probably won't remember any of this. The painting seemed impossible to achieve but it felt so good when it was finally done. Sure, my giraffe's legs were unevenly fat and skinny, my trees were unrealistically beautifully bloomed, but overall, I was damn proud that I got this far. Between all the mixing and having a shortage of mixed paint, while praying not one drop of paint landed on my all-white outfit, everything worked out. Some people painted over their giraffes at the end, but no, I loved my giraffe's fat/skinny legs just the way they were. The instructor was so patient and thorough, it made this experience that much better because otherwise, I don't think I would get further than just mixing the colors. The only thing that bothered me was how extremely tight space was. Paintbrushes often clashed with others' and small supplies like plates (for mixing) were running low between tables. Also, I feel like the bags to put our paintings in could be a lot better than the murky produce-like bags. read more

Going to a Paint and Sip Bar is something my daughter and a I have talked about doing for a couple of years now. Well, we finally did it today for her birthday and we had a wonderful time. My work team and I went to paint your pet night last night, with the expectation that we are not artists and that our paintings were going to suck. We arrived a little early, got some wine and got situated with the set up. The six of us were put at one table, and were assigned John as our assistant. We went in with the expectations that were were going to have a good time, and our expectations were immediately exceeded. Everyone there was so kind and helpful, and we had a great time attempting to paint our fuzzy friends. The main reason I am here to leave this review is to shout out John. He was the BEST. I'm surprised this location doesn't have more reviews! Came here one night for a girl's night and had a blast. The instructors are artists by day and teachers by night. They have a lot of fun with what they do and made sure everyone in the class did too! The space is well set up with a bar in front, general class space in the middle, and a separate room for private events in the back. Wanted to do a paint and sip with my friends for the longest. We found a deal to come here on and Wednesday night! It was actually really fun! We each had our own easel with paint and brushes. We also were allowed one free drink which was beer or wine. You could order food for a price, and we ordered a sampler with fries and mini hot dogs and mozzarella sticks. The instructor was very friendly and nice and she was attentive if we were struggling with a certain step. Our paintings came out beautiful! And we had so much fun. Went there for a Yelp elite event and it was the best time!! The ladies working the place are super sweet! We painted ice cream cones but were given the liberty to take it where we wanted. We had an overall good experience and had fun. Unfortunately we had the least convenient table very far from the instructor. Given that there were many available empty tables and because we came 20 minutes prior to the start, I asked for a different table. Both the instructor and the supervisor told us it was absolutely impossible and in kind of offensive manner. Nobody showed up there and these tables remained empty up to the end, so I don't quite understand the reasoning behind this attitude. The food is below average, sangria that we ordered was not good. First of all the staff here so friendly and helpful that you feel right at home from the moment you step in. Everything is set up for you once you get there, and they have a decent selection of drinks at the bar. I have zero artistic talent, but the instructor was great and all of our paintings came out really pretty (nice enough to display in my apartment). My daughter and I came to Muse paint bar Tri beca on Black Friday for a girl's day out to paint the Grinch! This was our second visit to a Muse Event. We were greeted by the artist Jon in full Grinch face paint which was such a wonderful surprise. He was in full character, such a comedian, had a great music playlist for us to enjoy the whole time.
