From lashes to microdermabrasion to facials to laser and more- this Eastchester Spa has everything. Sometimes I want spa-style pampering; sometimes I might want major tweakments- but from any kind of facial treatment, I always want visible results. Wouldn't you??? Skin & Laser may have their 300 Main St address- but it's deceiving because you'd have to go around the corner and once you see Country Markets as your landmark across the street, then you're finally here. The waiting area smells clean with no harsh artificial scents. And a faint- but calming scent from all of Skin & Laser's facial products linger ever so lovely. The exceptional Dominique is likely Westchester's most in-demand facialist offering face-changing techniques combined with state-of-the-art tech. I personally love it. Just a few minutes with the founder and I was instantly given- not only a quick pick-me-up feel, but also instant gratification with a great end result after my first session with her. I love it even more. I can't wait to return. The process was seamless with a heavenly, healing touch.

I moved to the area recently and Ive been looking for places to get some services done like a wax…read more I called and the front desk let me know the wax lady was busy doing lashes and I would have to wait an hour or more. So I went home to take care of some things and waited for their call. They called me to come in and I basically said I'll have to get ready to step out since I was in the middle of applying a mask so give me a few minutes. I get there and what I walked into was an unfriendly welcoming from the nail techs, no greeting, no smile, just side eyes as if I was not the type of customer they wanted there. I dont know if its cause I had a hair cap on for my hair mask or because I was the only afro-latina in there. Even the customers were stand offish mind you thats not even the most aesthetic spa in the area. Zen Shu is and they weren't like this not even close. I told them what I was there for and I was told the lady left? 2x. Like what do you mean I spoke to you guys 20 minutes ago and you told me to come in. Then the lady from the front finally comes out says the girl "went to the store", that I will have to wait. Then proceeds to ask if I want to wait???? UH yess! I waited an hour for you to finish a service and I came outside like this, OF COURSE! You would think thats common sense. But no it's because the wax lady which apparently is the only one that does waxes there probably went home. Thats the only reason I can think of. So I waited maybe 5-8 minutes until I left and took my money to Beauty Spa, which is what I should've done in the first place. They were very attentive once I walked in, immediately stopped what they were doing and took care of me. I'm very disappointed in the latin community here, I worked in hospitality/customer service before so I understand the work behind it. But I was certainly not expecting this treatment after being called to come in. I absolutely hate wasting my time and today was a long list of to dos before I travel. They need to improve on their customer service as a whole. I would not be recommending my family or friends here at all. Theres so much better though you might spend a bit more, but care, hospitality and TIME is high on my list.

Or, in my…read morecase, don't let anyone else buy anything FOR YOU from this shop unless you want the option to not return it. My husband bought me a pair of earrings and a bracelet/cuff on Mother's Day (May 8). He gave me the earrings on Mother's Day (I didn't love them but decided to just keep them anyway) and he gave me the cuff on my birthday (June 19). I really was not into the cuff - it's not my style at all. In fact, even he said he didn't think it was my style, but my mom/the saleslady pressured him into buying it. So, a week and a half later after receiving it (towards the end of June) I tried to return it for a store credit. The salesladies who were working there were very nice and were going to take it. Then the owner walked in. She has super bad energy. She inspected the bracelet and said there was a speck of dirt on it (for all I know, that's how they sold it to us, as I hadn't noticed it before and had only worn it to try it on). She said she wouldn't take it back. She angrily said to me, "why didn't you bring it back before? I could have sold it!" (What a way to treat a customer, right?) I explained that yes, my husband bought me two items on Mother's Day but he just gave me the bracelet for my birthday a week and a half ago. (Also: I had my second baby on May 2 and was not getting out of the house that much at the time, he was only 8 weeks old at this time.) So she refused to take the $390 bracelet back and I'm just stuck with this item I don't like. I will NEVER patronize this shop again. And I've spent plenty of money there on brows, a facial, makeup and jewelry. I've told my husband to also never buy me anything from there again. The brow services are not even that good. I normally see Elke Von Freudenberg in the city for brows, who is much better and charges the same price, but I was not able to go to the city for brows due to the new baby.

Let me start off by saying the customer service was really good! They were booked when I called so…read morethey took my number down and made sure to reach out as soon as something opened up. Once I got there and started the process, I started to second guess my decision to come here. First off, I've gotten my lashes done before and I have never smelled the glue like this time. It scared me that the glue smell was so strong because I've never experienced that before. It smelled like nail glue and also made my eyes burn/tear up A LOT during the process. This could've caused the lashes to fall out sooner but I don't think it would've been as bad as it was. The photo attached shows what fell out the next day! Needles to say, a week went by and I have almost no lashes left. Money down the drain. I don't think I'll be coming back here every though it's conveniently close to me.

Apologies for this being so long! Don't usually write reviews, but my experience here was beyond…read morehorrible so simply have to share. I'm actually mind blown at how badly it went. Most of the story you can tell from the screenshots of my communication with the salon. I've had eyelash extensions done many times before, but this was my first time here. Usually, it's a pretty relaxing experience and I can even nod off, but not here. The tech (and co-owner!) Shanty used her phone the whole time working on my eyelashes - phone calls, FaceTime, and texting (I could tell from the clicking noise as the volume on her phone was on). I was extremely uncomfortable with it as phones are not clean and she did not clean her hands before touching my eyes again. It also was taking up quite a bit of time. I waited till she was done and spoke with her about it. She made excuses that it was related to her kids and she had to take care of it. It's true, part of it was vaguely related to kids, but that was a fraction of it. She was not apologetic whatsoever, but did say she would avoid using her phone next time unless she absolutely had to and said she'd step away in that case. Stupidly, I believed it and signed up for their classic membership that includes the initial application, two refills and removal. On their website it stated it was $200, but I got charged a little over $250 ($230 plus tax). When I got home I took a close look at them and noticed that no extensions were applied to the inner and outer corners or the eyes. It wasn't super obvious, but it bothered me. The lashes started falling out the following morning despite me following all instructions. The problem was that they were falling out in clumps because of the way they were done. Apparently she used "fans" instead of individual strands. So when even two fans fell out you could see a very visible gap already. I knew they were closed on the weekend so I contacted them on Monday regarding my issue and made an appointment for Thursday to get them fixed. It was Shanty again working on me. She was very short from the beginning and again there was no apology even though at this point I was missing at least half of the eyelashes from my left eye. It's been only five days since I got them. I asked her to redo them as fans is not what I asked and payed for and she said that she only had half an hour and all she could do was to patch up where the eyelashes were missing. She did end up working on me for closer to an hour. She still used her phone to text, which she denied later. Again, the volume on the phone was on so it was very obvious when she was texting. At that point I knew that it wasn't a place I wanted to come back to and asked the receptionist for a refund of the rest of my balance. I imagined I'd be charged just for one application and be reimbursed the rest. However, she insisted that I had to be charged $50 for the refill because she spent so much time working on me. I tried to explain that if it was done properly the first time, I wouldn't have to come back again so soon and waste her and my time. However, she kept trying to put the blame on me, that I did something wrong. Out of $250 that I payed, I only got $90 back. The cherry on top was the comment they left about me being a difficult client on the receipt. I wish I never set foot there and now I know I never will again. Let my experience be a cautionary tale for you.
