Crofton Piano picked it up from my mother's home in Virginia, gave her a statement that she would get $15,000 upon it's sale, refurbished it and listed it on their website for over $45,000. It hadn't sold in over a year and we weren't surprised by this...we knew it would take some time to find the right buyer. I finally called to find out the status of the piano only to be told that it had been sold on an installment plan to a "gifted pianist" for $6,000. At no point had we been contacted to approve this and Mr. Fisher claimed he "lost" my mother's contact information. Finally after getting my attorney involved, he promised to send my mother monthly payments of $500 for a total of $6000 and we accepted since it was clear we were never going to see that $15,000. He sent two payments and the money stopped coming. My mother is on a fixed income and that money would have helped her a great deal. Steer clear of this rip off artist.

I decided to ask them if they had the product I was looking for and one employee was on his phone and never looked up and the other employee on his computer did come out to see if they had the product. I left because they evidently don't want my business. I didn't even know they were in this particular Plaza. Because, I need to make ongoing musical purchases and their location is very convenient I would patronize their business. Not now... unfortunate for them.

My husband had played for years and since this was our first home purchase, I really wanted to make that happen. Tom, a Vietnam Vet and hero, reached out to me, heard my story and desire, and made it his goal to help us get a beautiful piano delivered. Our budget was ridiculously tight, and Tom made it happen. I researched everywhere, from estate sales, other online marketplace forums, about 15 different piano stores (some local, some not). After all of the research I had done (not knowing much about pianos beforehand), I learned that unless you REALLY know your stuff, you needed to go through a reputable company. If a piano wasn't tuned for the duration of its life, it could look pretty, but it wouldn't be very functional. I almost made a deal with another company that I would have regretted... and then Tom called and from that moment, I had an absolute peace about working with him. He was not a "salesman," but a true gentleman. Tom went the extra mile by a lot!!! There was one piano we thought would work, and it was even bigger than my original plan. After Tom looked at the pictures of my home (and staircase), we decided to wait for another piano to become available. There was a little bit of time that went by where I didn't think we were going to find it, and then... the call came. Tom found the most beautiful Yamaha, ebony, baby grand that plays incredibly! My husband was completely surprised and has loved at (1) having a baby grand piano delivered in his home without him there, (2) that I stayed within my designated "muahahaha" budget, and (3) that we found such an incredible person to work with. The piano delivery service was also excellent! Such care, such professionalism, and physical strength too. It's been four and one-half months and my home has been filled with music ever since. Thank you Jason's Music Center for being such a wonderful company to work with...and thank you to Tom for really making this happen.

Steve was a total pleasure to work with in the purchase of our new Kawai grand piano! Once we decided on a piano, Steve was able to make the magic happen so we could bring it home! This included trading in our baby grand. As our piano wasn't in stock, Steve went out of his way to locate one for us. There was a wait for the next shipment and the process of customs, but it was so worth it! It has a beautiful, rich, mellow sound! We are looking forward to the decades that this piano will be used! Today alone, it's been used almost nonstop since it's arrival! Unfortunately the speaker was not loud enough for the venue I played at so I returned it the next day. I put my card in for a refund and didnt think any thing of it. Normally the refund is the next day or same day. As Friday approached I was concerned because it wasnt in my account. So I called the corporate REP to find out the status. She exclaimed to me the refund for 540.59 wasnt processed and the store owner told her something was wrong with the system. So she finally rectified the situation and sent an email...but the store owner told her the amount was 340.59...which is 200 dollars less than owed. I responded back with the receipt for return and no answer. So I called back again and finally got another rep to put the right amount in. Whats concerning is that this location wasnt gonna call me to tell me the refund didnt process. The second concern is that that lied ans said the refund was 200 dollars less than owed. This was my first and last time purchasing from a Music and Arts location. Guitar Center and Chuck Levins will be my first and only choice going forward. I highly recommend not purchasing any equipment from this place. After reading other reviews Im seeing a trend..poor customer service, lying to customers, as well as poor instructors. I am a persistent person and I had to talk to 3 people at customer service to get my full refund. This process was exhausting. I have never had this at Guitar Center or Chuck Levins. Youve been warned. Trust the reviews. I didnt.

Never will step foot in this rip off place again. Local shops by local owners is what we use. Stay away Old review / These people are flat out liars. They lied about my rental plan details. They lied about being able to get a piano after renting a violin and sax. They lied about the value of the instrument I was renting and when I returned it the employee even said I just quit and my last day is this week as I can no longer lie to customers. I had $600 in rental credit and was told my by out for a sax that is worth about $500 - was $9 Do not ever shop at music and arts they are liars. I'm a member of the Recording Academy and sit in the DC Board. If anyone needs a real instrument and doesn't want to be ripped off, go to a real music store.
