An entire WEEK later, this kid calls me back and explains that you refused to honor the exchange. So you're right, you haven't even taken the time to speak to me yourself. My husband had played for years and since this was our first home purchase, I really wanted to make that happen. Tom, a Vietnam Vet and hero, reached out to me, heard my story and desire, and made it his goal to help us get a beautiful piano delivered. Our budget was ridiculously tight, and Tom made it happen. I researched everywhere, from estate sales, other online marketplace forums, about 15 different piano stores (some local, some not). After all of the research I had done (not knowing much about pianos beforehand), I learned that unless you REALLY know your stuff, you needed to go through a reputable company. If a piano wasn't tuned for the duration of its life, it could look pretty, but it wouldn't be very functional. I almost made a deal with another company that I would have regretted... and then Tom called and from that moment, I had an absolute peace about working with him. He was not a "salesman," but a true gentleman. Tom went the extra mile by a lot!!! There was one piano we thought would work, and it was even bigger than my original plan. After Tom looked at the pictures of my home (and staircase), we decided to wait for another piano to become available. There was a little bit of time that went by where I didn't think we were going to find it, and then... the call came. Tom found the most beautiful Yamaha, ebony, baby grand that plays incredibly! My husband was completely surprised and has loved at (1) having a baby grand piano delivered in his home without him there, (2) that I stayed within my designated "muahahaha" budget, and (3) that we found such an incredible person to work with. The piano delivery service was also excellent! Such care, such professionalism, and physical strength too. It's been four and one-half months and my home has been filled with music ever since. We had a beautiful 1926 Grotrian Steinweg Piano that needed to be refurbished and, unfortunately…read moresold, so we called Crofton for the refurbishment and subsequently to sell it on consignment. Crofton Piano picked it up from my mother's home in Virginia, gave her a statement that she would get $15,000 upon it's sale, refurbished it and listed it on their website for over $45,000. It hadn't sold in over a year and we weren't surprised by this...we knew it would take some time to find the right buyer. I finally called to find out the status of the piano only to be told that it had been sold on an installment plan to a "gifted pianist" for $6,000. At no point had we been contacted to approve this and Mr. Fisher claimed he "lost" my mother's contact information. Finally after getting my attorney involved, he promised to send my mother monthly payments of $500 for a total of $6000 and we accepted since it was clear we were never going to see that $15,000. He sent two payments and the money stopped coming. My mother is on a fixed income and that money would have helped her a great deal. Steer clear of this rip off artist.

That all being said, I make sure to rush to Bill's when I need stuff because the alternative is going home and then going to...well, another store with an instrument in the name, and that has never been a good experience unlike Bill's. A few years ago I made an online purchase for a used pedal from Bill's. I showed up to get it and as it turns out, they had no idea where it was. They had spend an hour looking for it after I purchased it, and then they spend another 20 minutes looking for it after I arrived. To make it up to me they offered me a brand new version of the pedal at the mid point of the difference between the used one and the new one. I took that offer because it was a great deal. Since then I have bought 3 more pedals from them over the years, a microphone, and a whole lot of accessories. If I want to purchase another guitar at any point, I will definitely hit them up if possible.
