Thankfully Scott had all of these, and I'm really grateful to have stumbled upon this shop. Scott was exceptional in explaining the whole process and prepared me well for the big ouch and the aftercare. I really worried about the healing process because of various reddit posters, however the magic spray (hypochlorous acid + saline) he sent me home with has made the recovery a breeze. I've had the piercing for a week, and I forgot it was there after the first 36 hours. No inflammation or any signs of irritation. I'm only going to Scott for any future work. The only con of coming to Scott is that you'll want more piercings because he does such a good job and made the recovery so easy. He's also a cool and courteous dude. 10/10

The items that they sell there for nose piercings are made out of titanium, which is the better material to use to avoid infection. I like the way that they take pride and passion into ensuring that the customers are serviced well and the equipment and material being used is clean and sterile. My piercer's name was Hannah and they were amazing. They gave me so much information before during and after the procedure and was even available for post care, questions and communication. The cost of the nose ring was $35 and the nose ring was another 40. Well worth the cost so that you don't have any problems or potential scarring with this piercing. It looks amazing and I will definitely be going back for more piercings and maybe even a tattoo. Their shop is on the corner of a little quaint Street in Annapolis. I got my nose pierced a few years ago but have had trouble with it because I had the helix ring which as come out for one reason or another and I haven't always been able to get it back in. Several people have suggested getting a flat back ring instead and I was happy to find out the Red Octopus offers those so I went by on 5/1 to get my nose repierced for like the third time now lol. I was greeted upon entering at the front desk and I explained that I wanted to be sure they had the ring I needed and the issues I was having, they confirmed they had it then showed me the jewelry options. I picked the size ring I wanted and filled out my paperwork and paid and I was taken back right away. I had some scar tissue as I've been repierced before so she moved the spot slightly, explained what she was doing and got to it. It was very quick and painless. The shop is clean and open. My piercer, Ray was very sweet, professional, knowledgable and quick. I don't know if I spent a full 20 minutes in there from start to finish and I wasn't rushed at all. I was really missing my nose piercing and am so happy to have it back, with a more secure ring and at a size I love. I came to Wicked Goddess after my 9 year old daughter told me she was ready to get her ears pierced. alright, easy enough. I knew I wasn't going to take her to Claire's & I was worried about piercing her ears while they would still be growing. in comes Rachel, who came highly recommend on the Google and reddit. I booked the appointment for the end of November for Rachel since I figured this would give my daughter enough time to back out if she changed her mind. she did not. so the day after Thanksgiving, we went over to Mosaic to get her ears pierced. they let her pick out her earrings first and were so great. they let her hold the earrings up to her ear to give her a visual and gave her plenty of time to pick. Rachel sanitized everything and took her into the piercing room once she was ready. Rachel marked her ears a little higher up so when she grows, it'll be more centered as she got older. then came the first piercing, which my sensitive soul daughter took very personally. she refused to get her second ear pierced claiming she couldn't go through with it. with Rachel, my SIL, my husband and I trying to provide positive encouragement to continue on. Rachel ended up giving her the option to go grab some lunch to relax after the first piercing and to come back after. after our ramen lunch, we went back to get her second piercing. obviously it wasn't an easy task getting her to go through with it. I ended up having her sit down on my lap with Katseye playing just so Rachel could finish it. so to the amazing Rachel (who just came back from maternity leave!!), thank you! my daughter loves her piercings now and can't/won't stop looking at them. I did so much research before booking an appointment with Jen because I specifically wanted to get my nipples pierced. I wanted to go to someone with experience and all the reviews online pointed to Jen! getting an appointment was not difficult, you can book online. paperwork must be completed prior to your appointment. when you first arrive, you need to text the number on the door before they let you in. once you are inside, they'll confirm your piercing of choice with you and then Jen pops out of nowhere and takes you into a room! she let me start off with any questions I had and boy, did I have a lot. I had gone down an internet rabbit hole and I knew I needed to speak to an actual professional before the piercing. Jen is a saint with the patience of an angel. she showed me a few photos and helped me figure out if I wanted a vertical or horizontal nipple piercing. she will make sure everything is consensual prior to doing it. I got to pick out my jewelry prior to the piercing and she sanitized the jewelry in the room. now, I knew I went with the right piercer when Jen took her sweet, sweet time marking my nipples. not only did she take her time, she made sure it was even and looked good. I was so impressed with her ability to eyeball a nipple and to get it centered. Jen will mark your nipples a few dozen times, but you want that because the last thing you want is a freaking lopsided piercing so trust the process! when we started the actual process of piercing, she went through how she was going to pierce it and had me take a deep breath to help with the nerves. a nipple piercing seriously hits a little differently than a piercing on your ear. the pain didn't last very long and Jen asked if I needed additional time before piercing my other nipple....which I declined because I really just wanted it done after the piercings, she had me lay there for a bit before sitting up. I know getting up too fast can make some people light headed especially after a piercing and she explained, it can happen especially when the blood flow is redirected after a procedure like so. she went over healing, what to do and what not to do after the piercing and cleaning with me. all in all, Brilliance Piercing is highly recommended. I truly can't thank Jen enough for dealing with my hundreds of questions, making sure my piercings would look good, making sure I was comfortable every step of the way and most of all for just being one of the best professional piercers I have ever encountered. if you're interested in piercing your body in anyway, I cannot recommend Jen enough. she only works two days a week now so for me to snag a 4:50 PM appointment on a Thursday with her was a blessing. also big shout out to Keightley and Elizabeth for their fantastic customer service. they answered all my questions and were super patient with me as well!

I…read moreswallowed the high price tag expecting premium service, but their customer service is completely rigid and lacking any basic empathy. Be prepared to spend hundreds of dollars once you factor in the premium jewelry they require you to purchase. Their piercing appointments are scheduled for an hour, yet the actual piercing only takes about 5-10 minutes. A significant portion of the appointment is spent discussing and selling jewelry. The real problem came with the follow-up downsizing appointment. After they emailed me to schedule it, the earliest availability was about a month out. As a new mom with an infant at home, coordinating childcare and making a 40-minute drive through NoVA traffic is not easy. The downsizing appointment itself is only scheduled for 20 minutes, which made what happened next even more frustrating. Unfortunately, there was a lot of traffic on a Saturday and I arrived 12 minutes late. When I got there, a front desk lady met me at the door and refused to let me in. My appointment was canceled on the spot because I hadn't called or texted to say I was running late. I was driving and not checking my phone, which apparently didn't matter. There was no flexibility, no understanding, and no sympathy whatsoever for any circumstances. I was told another client was waiting in their car. So after waiting a month for an appointment, arranging my schedule around an infant, and driving 40 minutes, I left without receiving any service at all. Their policies may be their policies, but customer service matters too. The experience felt cold, inflexible, and completely dismissive. Given how much time is built into their appointments and how heavily they emphasize jewelry sales, I was surprised there was absolutely no flexibility for a customer who was a little late due to traffic. There are plenty of piercing studios out there, and after this experience, I would absolutely not waste time here. The prices are already high, and the lack of consideration for customers and new moms made me feel like a lesser person.
