I often come in for equipment for my son. If they don't have it, they help me order it and it delivers to my house. Very handy. My husband recently bought a guitar and the staff were very helpful taking guitars down for him to try and even having a little jam session to compare tone and quality. I have also found piano music I use for myself and students. And again if it's not there they help me order it. I'm happy to have a music store nearby. read more

I hate writing unfavorable reviews and I will say that we love our teacher here but this place is so disorganized. They have scheduled us for lessons on 3 different occasions when the teacher was away. They have the technology to make sure they get their automated payments each month but not to ensure lessons are scheduled at times when staff is available. It's frustrating as a parent who spends a lot of time and money getting their kids to extra curricular activities to do so futilely. read more

I told the cashier Valeria Why did she charge me more for the product she said is mark wrong so I change it to a diff one w a diff price she said that one also was wrong so I point it at 5 diff ones and she said sorry all of those are mark wrong . She still charge me the price on her computer, unfortunately I was on a hurry and didn't want to drive 20 min away to save $ 7 dollars but I will never be back . Overall good staff and welcoming manager. (Took a few months of singing lessons) However for myself the teaching style was too strict and personal suggestions were mostly unwelcome. Hope I can have a better experience in the future possibly with music and arts, however I'll try other places now. It's good to keep in mind the monthly payment dissuaded me from leaving the company so in the future I'll look for stores with less time between payments. Overall it seems most customers are long term there but I was looking for casual teaching as a beginner. Hope this was helpful. If you're interested in activity per day: 20-25 min warmup 5-10 min songs. I rarely ever write reviews, but I feel compelled to do so in this situation so that others do not have the same experience I did. I signed my daughter up for private flute lessons in June and her music instructor has canceled on us multiple times and then we request make ups , they tell tell us that we cannot do the make ups that we have paid for . I would definitely NOT recommend this place . DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!!GO AN WHERE ELSE!!!They have ZERO customer service. They are very rude , disrespectful and unprofessional. I spent over $1000 buying a keyboard after transaction was done they refused to put the keyboard in my car my 10-year-old daughter and I waited for them over 20 minutes those guys were walking around and not helping after me taking The keyboard to my car by myself they stood and looked at me still didn't help Worst place ever do not recommend to anyone read more

I bought our third keyboard from music and arts today. As usual, Nick the manager did a fantastic job with the price, explanation, everything. My two kids take lessons there, guitar and piano and those are going wonderfully. The billing is fine, the instructors are great about making up classes if there is a conflict. The store personnel always go out of their ways to be as accommodating for us as they possibly can. I've read other reviews and, I just don't see it. Great place, great people, wonderful experiences. My son took guitar lessons here and enjoyed them. His teacher was great, but the billing/payment system is not great. You are charged monthly for sessions, but there is no electronic or paper bills given. I just found out that the teacher can cancel (day of) and you will be given a refund, but if you cancel after you are charged the monthly fee, you don't get a refund (even if you give a weeks notice). This needs fixed and should be explained prior to enrolling. read more

I'm currently taking guitar lessons from Ray Ernst at Music & Arts in Katy. He's fantastic! I'm learning so much each week. Ray is extremely knowledgeable about playing guitar, music history and how best to teach guitar to people at their various levels. He's also patient, kind and encouraging. If you want to learn how to play guitar or improve your current skills, I highly recommend taking lessons from Ray. He's the best! read more

One of the worst places to rent, buy or do anything related to music. Their staff is ill informed and push you to buy inferior instruments at high price calling those instruments as Pro. Do not even think of opening a rental agreement with them. Go to Lisle Violin or any other place. Never put a foot in this store. read more
