Now, I don't have another place of instruction to compare, so strictly based off our Guitar Center Lessons,alone, for the past 6 months, we've had an incredible experience. The facility is clean and conducive to learning. The rooms are sound proof with see-thru doors (for safety). The teachers are pretty consistent and the lesson plans are clear, up-front. I have a drummer and a guitarist, both are challenged yet love what their learning. They are able to read and play music, already. They're enriched by the combined traditional and modern teaching styles. The price is market competitive and there is a discount for multiple children as well as referrals for other students. TIP: Keep your own track of lessons to assure no confusion with charges. I'd give 5 but there is one group guitar teacher who is clearly unqualified to teach. All the children are frustrated to tears when he's cluelessly in charge. He's kind, can play, but can't teach. My advice to parents- stay involved to assure the best experience for all and you'll (almost) get your money's worth. Pretty pleased!! The staff rocks!

Guitar Centers are 4 star spots in terms of what you can get here and 3 in terms of the pricing and then 2 in terms of any kind of service that you want after you buy stuff. That's been my experience with most locations, this one included, although not as bad as my awful experiences up in NY. I couldn't believe the way I was treated by some of the other locations in the past. This one hasn't done anything particularly bad to me, but in the same situation they basically would - I've asked - and anything I bought here has been fine, but I'm always very aware of the heinous return policies and restocking fees which are designed to stop people from ripping them off, but what they really end up doing is ripping people like me off when GC's own equipment doesn't work the way they promise it will. The irony is that they'll charge a restocking fee (a hefty one), and on the odd occasion that someone actually used and messed up the stuff they sell (which in all likelihood is already messed up and that's why it gets returned), they don't even catch it or bother to fix it, and then you buy it brand new and find out that it's glitchy because someone else has already "abused" and then returned it - and they've made a consistent profit on that. For a small local store you'd understand this sort of thing but you'd still be wary of shopping there. For a mega corporation it's shady AF. That's how the rich get rich.

My children have Mrs. Sheri as their music teacher. She has over 20 years of experience and is truly fantastic. Mrs. Sheri is kind, patient, and firm when necessary.
